Vail Bloom is not credible as an ADA and after she will once again be forced to drop charges against Victor Newman she will surely lose her job. I thought today was her best scenes on the show since she began, but I agree she is very hit and miss. I didn't mind her at Jabot. No way will she be able to open her own firm after her record, but I could see her working as an associate in Michael's firm. Maybe they can dust his old office set out of being mothballed and Heather and this new laywer working for the Winters can work for Michael who is being stretched way too far with all his cases.

I liked CLB's scenes. I felt they show a man on the edge and truly disappointed and disheartened. He is a very good actor, but my favorite scene of his was not when he was delivering dialogue. It was when he walked into his apartment, and Lauren told him that Gloria had been arrested. His wary look said it all. Sure he can be over the top at times as many of the good actors can be, but to be able to express utter defeat in a 2 second look is pretty damn good in my book.

I REALLY like this idea! With the rumored return of

we could have a real practice going on. It would be interesting to base some stories in the dynamic practice, like Boston Legal or The Practice or LA Law.

When Billy introduced this "old friend"...a "scholarship student at Walnut Grove"...did anyone get the feeling that part might originally have been written for Raul/David Lago (Billy's best friend)? I could totally believe Raul became a lawyer (he was a really "right and wrong" kind of dude)? I would have enjoyed that. I'd even accept this fella as a recast for Raul...because, let us be frank, he is cuter than David Lago.

I'd enjoy seeing this new guy stick around.

I just can't buy this new guy as a lawyer because he looks like he is 18 freakin years old. I'd rather see Heather go into partnership with Michael.

I thought the same thing. Sometimes a look can say so much. No dialogue needed.

Soaps.com is reporting that LLB's rep stated she will not be coming back.

I agree. Suitable recast, but David Tom will always be Billy to me.... hands down. I too enjoyed the Jill/Billy dynamic today (yeaterday for me). I love seeing Jess Walton play material true to her character! The way she spoke ill of the Abbotts :D, brings back memories of the good ol' days.

And yet they didn't smear the history in our face- it was just there. Jill tried to pretend like she's been there for Billy, and I loved that he brought up the fact that he was in boarding school....He solidified Jill as the mother and wife she's always been, and didn't let her get away with any form of manipulation. She was quick to try and turn him against his brothers and sisters, who have cared for him since he was a little boy and John was fighting for custody. Those scenes felt realistic and spot on. Best part of today's show. The dialogue between the two didn't miss a beat, and yet underneath it all, Billy tried to pay respect- showing that he's still very principled.

AS for Heather, I wasn't feeling like the actress had a hard time turning Adam in, she seems vindictive, and spiteful. She's no Cricket 2.0; and I think they should poise her to be Victor Newman in female form- cross her once and you'll be dead to her. that is if she's not leaving.

LOVE the classic background music used today and yesterday.

The Jill/Billy scenes were great as well. Jill was trying to slowly manipulate Billy and he wasn't falling for it. The Jack and Billy scenes were good too. Billy is being pulled in so many directions, he seems conflicted as to which family his loyalty lies.

I actually also enjoyed the River and Michael scenes yesterday too. Christian has really toned down his performances lately, which is a good thing. Today, when he told Eden he turned River in to the authorities was also good. New Eden is a very subtle actress, I liked how she welled up without being over the top. The old Eden would've screamed like hell and tried hard to cry, to no success.

I also liked how Jack slowly realized that Gloria was the one who tampered with the skin cream. It should be good to see him confront her in prison.

I also liked the Adam/Heather scenes at the end of today's show. So angst-ridden, but ultimately, Heather did the right thing for herself.

Also, how nice was it to see Gloria squirm as she was cuffed? Isn't it a joy to see her suffer in prison? I know this a soap and no one ever stays in jail for long, but the fact that she's finally been outed for the skin cream fiasco is good enough for me. I like seeing her suffer.

    • Wait - so no Will, Jack, or Jen at John's funeral? That’s just weird. What was the point of bringing them back then? Did Julie and Maggie even show up? I mean, seriously.

    • Has anyone ever totted up how many women on GL slept with both father and son(s)? Reva gets a lot of crap for it but she's far from the only one: Claire Beth Blake Olivia Dina Did I miss anyone?  Also, did Reva ever sleep with Phillip? They always had some "closeness" thing, but I don't know if they ever actually did the deed. If they did, then Reva's the clear winner, with TWO families covered, lol!
    • I think Long was probably planning to have Claire suffer from Post Partum, but she left the writing staff shortly after Claire had Michelle so that element didn't get explored. And I always assumed that when Claire returned in the late 90s/early 00s.. that she was realizing that she messed up by not staying a part of Michelle's life and became resentful/bitter over her previous choices.  That was my theory.
    • Jenn was a huge part of the success of Days back in the day, and that contribution shouldn't be dismissed.  With that said, I do think her and Jack's time on the show should remain as occasional visits/drop ins. When Missy returns to play Jenn, Jenn is back to being Jenn.   Jenn in her glory days was head strong, fiesty, and was a live wire.... and her scenes with Jack on Friday was classic Jenn with Jack being the voice of reason.   It was the foundation of their relationship back in the day.
    • Claire was always tightly wound, I think what Long was going to do is to throw the three into this impossible situation with no bad guys, Mo, knowing how to take care of kids from growing up but unable to conceive and Claire, who didnt know how to take care of kids and was totally focused on her career, gets knocked up.  Ryder took Claire off the deep end as a convenient way to make story for characters he wasnt interested in (though Pratt blames McTavish) with little effort. It was later explained to be a brain tumor (though why was she a bitch again when she returned?) \ Claire did sleep with Rick, she was his first!
    • I'm sorry, truly I am, but this literally made me LOL. Tempting fate, much?

    • Oh, I have very little doubt that Missy feels some way personally and privately.  Donna was just saying she actively spoke out against Days in public in reference to the gay storylines, which she did not. I don't have super strong feeling about Jen one way or another.  She was always a side character to me.  I still think Missy is Jen regardless of her stupid beliefs.
    • I hated the swap-over; Clayton Norcross, to me, was far superior in the role of Thorne than Jeff Trachta ever was. And the recast left me disliking Thorne when he was the superior son to me. As for Teri Ann Linn, I feel like she got the raw deal. Kristen was very clear as a forefronting character, especially in her rivalry with Stephanie, and it feels like she was dropped off for Felicia, and they never returned it. Not to mention the subpar recast with Tracy Melchior in 2001. Someone like Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, Y&R) would've been more suited for that role.
