OMG. I am laughing my ass off. There is an entire Twitter thread detailing various pranks and jokes that have been done via the new number.

There seems to be another number (unsure if it is another change or an addition to the prior page's number!). By all means, please do NOT call and, say, moo or request a song on the radio to the "fraud" team!

He's a coward who is terrified of direct confrontation - with anyone - and often tries to delegate major decisions, like firings, onto anyone else for fear of making an unpopular choice. All the firings in his administration, he's always phoned eight million sycophants begging for advice on what to do and tried to offload the responsibility onto others, or tried to neg the men and women out of their jobs on twitter to get them to resign first. I've never been afraid of his will.

On the LGBTQ tip, this is something I suspect is largely relevant to the white posters among us but still something to discuss and something I've been pondering while lurking in certain dark corners of the Internet over the last few days for schadenfreude:

The amount of increasingly earnest sounding posts at various right-wing Trumpist cesspools from cis/hetero young men saying they've been holding back wanting to transition or come out of the closet over the last four years and "suppressed it" bc they thought Trump would make America great again and help them overcome, and now they want to surrender the fight, is truly unusual. It's not all trolling - there's a real psychosexual/identity complex for some of these very shut-in young men. It's not an excuse for their behavior I would ever personally accept or tolerate. But it seems like Trumpism became a convenient cloak and denial mechanism for some struggling young people, and I am not the only one who's noticed this in the last few days. I await the first deep dive into it. Trumpist culture (which IMO cannot and will not replicated with another GOPer, because none of them have the longstanding media/popcult appeal of Trump) crossed party and racial/social lines, including to some of the Latino vote or two disaffected swing voting idiots. It reached red state or overcompensating (or both) questioning young men. It consumed everything.

Young people (as well as a few old) have always had to struggle when it comes to identity. And sometimes that hold back and denial can be just as dangerous.

It will be interesting in this time of 'changing management' if they can find a way to be happy or at least find a way to accept something that works for them.

@DRW50Some of those TV/Megachurch evangelical leaders are grifters that could teach the Trumps a thing or two. Then give them a run for their money when it comes to being downright shameless about stealing from the lonely and elderly. It's unreal.

I love some of the small things about Biden. Like when he said their presidential ticket got more votes than any in history.  He included Kamala in the success, instead of bragging for 15 mins about he got the most votes in history.

O/T Thank you everyone for the condolences, it means a lot.

    • Yeah, Ben and Evie don't start interacting in a 'we're going to pair them together as a couple' way until Feb/March 1977 when she recommends Ben paint a portrait for Jackie.  And Evie's working for Jackie so she and Ben interact and start to become friends.  That happens after Tim breaks up with  her and she's forgiven her sister.. and he and Hope break up after he covers for his younger brother for a crime that he had committed.  Jackie does come onto the canvas in December 1976 and the first months are her trying to snag Mike while she and Justin seem to play a cat and mouse game with one another as he's trying to restart things with Sara again. I often wonder if the Phillip story only came about because the show was going to be expanded to an hour.. and the Dobson's deciding that some of the new characters they were introducing could be tied to Justin/Jackie's back story.
    • Seems like the Dobsons were aiming for a Joe/Sara/Justin triangle or, having decided that Joe would be killed off, Justin would be waiting in the wings. But that never came to pass and I don't think there was much reference to Justin/Sara as time went on.That was something that could have been used later on but Doug Marland may not have known or cared. Also, when the show went to an hour they could add a lot of characters and not rely on the stalwarts, hence Jackie/Alan/Elizabeth. And after Leslie died, Mike went into Dad mode with Hope. Hope/Ben never took off and Hope was replaced and then dropped and Ben moved on to Eve, whose romance with Tim fizzled and Jordan Clarke left (by choice?)

    • When I was a kid, I would watch DOOL with my mom. I remember Denise as Susan so well. And later, of course, on GH. How sad to hear she has passed. RIP.
    • I have to dig that scene up on YT. I'm glad they gave them some kind of happy ending, even if it was really late. Interesting! I remember Justin and Sarah being involved, but I either forgot or never caught their backstory. The girl with money and social position of course turns out to be Jackie. He sort of did to Sarah what Vanessa did to his brother! I do remember Justin started out as not the greatest guy. Kind of a horn dog. It's only when Ross comes on that he becomes the "good" brother. I only have some vague memories of Ben and Hope, mostly of when they were in a positive relationship. He certainly changed over time. "Chill" would be the way I would describe Ben (along with "handsome but kind of a yawn") for most of his time on GL, so hearing he once had a violent temper is very surprising.
    • Yes. That's called good writing.
    • interesting idea.  That makes sense, as MVJ seems to have set up each character development (traits) for future plot developments.
    • I really enjoyed today's episode. It showcased a lot of the other cast and I saw hints of storyline potential (Smitty & Bill). Martin definitely has some anger issues and I recall him being overly scared about protecting his family and having all the doors locked, coming out of one of his "dreams". There's obviously a lot going on there and I can't wait to find out more. I'm thinking June is going to be more than just the issue story of the week. I think she just might be related to one or more of our main characters. As for Tomas, yes, Alex Alegria is not the strongest actor, but he's pretty to look at and he emotes something. I'm just not sure what that something is yet.
    • No. Absolutely No. I don't know who this is... since it's just some random Twitter quote... But NO. The only parallel between OG Caroline's leukemia and Liam's tumor... is that they are both having cancer. That's it. Other than that... I see absolutely no similarities.  Caroline hid her sickness almost till the last moment. She was also giving the viewers signs that she is not well for days if not weeks before the diagnosis. It was not like Liam... falling down and hitting his head on a table and bam he has a tumor. Caroline's storyline broke our hearts, because of her attempt to live out the rest of her days with dignity and grace. It was written slowly and with care. What we are seeing right now with Liam is the complete opposite. It's begging the viewers for empathy and cheap tears. It's so in your face and trashy... I can't believe they are using cancer for something like this. Bradley Bell should never do terminal stuff again in his stories. It's borderline offensive to people who actually have lost relatives to cancer. To me it is.
