Despite being very vocal on social media, the reality is that the Justice Democrats continue to rack up losses. From what I've read, Morgan Harper, the latest JD to fall in her bid, only moved to the district three months prior to primary season, which Rep. Joyce Beatty called her out on during a debate.

They got greedy with AOC's election, which had a lot of factors. The one election they could have won if Bernie and friends had actually tried was Henry Cuellar's primary, but they didn't bother.

They think that Twitter activism speaks for the public and that all you have to do is shout about corruption and other glib catchphrases and...the revolution arrives by magic, I guess.

More and more are saying this is why we shouldn't focus on politics, to which I say fine, good, just go back to other attention-seeking venues that have no real affect on anyone, aside from the pockets of the grifters you line. Kystal Ball, Glenn Greenwald, Kyle Kulinski, Chapo and friends will be right behind you.

If only I could have reached through my desktop screen to wipe that smug look off Morgan Harper's face.  In fact, Harper's entire body language said, "OK Boomer!;" which encapsulates why I, as a Gen-X'er, find it much harder to take seriously a Millennial or Gen-Z'er over a Baby Boomer.  Sure, I might disagree with many Boomers' worldviews; however, it's just like what we say in the African-American community: "They marched, so our Black asses could vote."  The LEAST we could give them is our respect.

So, this whole Tara Reade mess. Let me be honest and say I think this is all crap. But the thing that seals that for me is, I read somewhere yesterday that Ronan Farrow allegedly met with Ms. Reade and he chose not to do an article or whatever.

If that is true, that tells me ALL I need to know. Farrow has been a dog with a bone going after predators, so if this had merit, I think he would go full throttle.

IA, @Wendy.

Of course, since Republicans are nothing but hypocrites, they're making a big deal about this, even though their own anointed one has been caught on tape talking about grabbing women by their vaginas.

Lord knows they are trying! But most of the mainstream media still seems to be bypassing it, which is probably why Donnie is forever in a rage these days what with Biden crushing him in the polls.

Still? If the GOP wants to amp this up, I say, go for it. Then Biden can bring up E. Jean Carroll and the TWENTY-PLUS accusations from different women against Trump, not to mention bringing the Access Hollywood Tape back for an encore.

Slippery slopes abound.

Came across this on YT but this was a good summary of the vast differences between a regard for facts and science and a total disregard for facts, science and reality. This country has fallen so far down in such a short amount of time, it's astounding.

Sadly the left is pushing this as much or more as the right. I knew many wanted Trump to win if Bernie lost but I am still disgusted anyway.

I will admit that I think Biden's behavior in those old swearing in videos was inappropriate and offputting, and I do believe the women who said he made them feel uncomfortable. But Reade's story has changed so many times, she's told so many lies about different topics, and her brother admitted to only remembering something after being prompted by a big Bernie supporter (Nathan Robinson). I just don't buy what she's saying.

It doesn't really matter though. Many were always going to support Trump and were looking for reason. Many on the left as well as the usual voices on the right. If Biden wins it's going to be very close.

Vote for the man with one accuser or the man with twenty six.

I wonder why she waited until he was a presidential nominee rather than when he was a candidate for vice president instead.  Reade did herself a disservice by coming out now since the statue of limitations already past and most dem voters don't want another four years of Trump.

Justin Amash is doing his best to help with that.  He's giving Republicans who don't want to vote for Trump but can't vote for a dem a way out.

    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.

    • Haha that scarf thing did go on a bit too long, very odd. And what a young Rick!  I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I just never got the physical appeal of Grant Aleksander, but he's definitely a great actor. Who is the older lady around the 8:30 mark, and also ends the episode, alone and in pain? She seems like a really interesting character. I love the smoky voice and sultry, snaky vibe she seems to have.
    • I can't remember exactly but I think she lives in or is part of the cottage story with Carrie. Carrie poisons her in this episode.  I forgot Teresa was on the show. (I see that AI is insisting she wasn't - well they're wrong) Poor Maeve. I can how even she had her limits.
