David Duke was on TV saying that they are following through in the promise of DONALD TRUMP and taking their country back and they are just getting started. But hey look at the Watergate quote list and I am sure you will see something that says "That guy was a McGovern supporter". Dude is a registered republican. All I need to know.

Let me guess. This will be another one of those so called "troubled" white guys. Me - he looks exactly like I thought he would. Another George Zimmerman and Dylan Roof

Before it's all said and done, Trump, Attorney General Foghorn Leghorn and others will have Trump Nation believing the victim was the real terrorist just by crossing the street.  ("We're taking America back from the jaywalkers!")

However, he does look like what happens when first cousins procreate.

David Duke has been saying that Trump is the best for white supremacy since the campaign and that says a lot since the white supremacists usually do not see any Republican as being sympathetic enough to their cause. With that said, Trump's weak condemnation of these protests has made Duke angry, because he tweeted out what essentially was that white supremacists put Trump in office and he owes them. If Trump loses them, he's vulnerable to a primary challenge in 2020.

This thread is on point, I think. I'm not calling them alt-right, white supremacist or even neonazis. I'm just going to call them Nazis because that's what this is coming down to. It took me too long to really see it for what it is.

Exactly.  No more niceties, no more euphemisms.  Call today exactly what it was: an act of terrorism, perpetrated by Nazis, on U.S. soil.

Because OLTL#1 Fan wanted to know...

http://www.npr.org/2017/06/29/534916080/ohio-town-struggles-to-afford-life-saving-drug-for-opioid-overdoses

This is the town I grew up next to and lived in for 22 years so my children could attend a progressive school there. This is also the town JD Vance, author of Hillbilly Elegy, grew up in and writes about in that book. This is the town and surrounding area where a Democrat has not won the Presidential election since Kennedy. This is the town where I walked the streets for Obama in '08, and we came 137 votes shy of securing victory. There are many many good people there who outweigh the "bad;" so many struggling. So many just looking for ways to turn it around.

The problem is very real...from all sides...

    • NBC or P&G was even fool enough to take a full page ad for two consecutive weeks in TV Guide promoting this horrible storyline.

    • JFP has had more defense for her decades of terrible producing than many male producers ever had.
    • It makes sense that she got a degree in directing. I've always said she should have been a director. I think she works better at the technical aspects of the show. I think her problem is the emotion/heart of a show.  She always guts the heart of the show she's on and she makes decisions that stop longtime viewers from watching a show. I don't think it's sexism to call that out especially as I've said similar things about Conboy. I've called out Rauch for much worse.
    • "Aunt Blanche" first appears toward the end of this episode, about 57 minutes in.

    • You're probably right. They may have just wanted edits of certain characters. Hopefully the rest is around.

I'm wondering if there were bits cut from this footage, because to me it seems that may be the case. At 11:23, Laurie tells her psychiatrist that the bar phoned and told her Mark got into a fight and needs to be picked up. It starts to fade to the next scene, you hear some different music begin and get cut off between the static, and where you'd expect to see the aftermath of the fight, we cut back to a later scene of Laurie in bed worrying about what's happening. The credits at the end also show that more than Mark, Laurie and Dr. Northcote should have been in this episode. Another character, Brody, played by Ed Setrakian, is mentioned but not shown. If this is the case, perhaps the original fan who saved this episode has the additional scenes.
    • Anyway… It’s a shame that the video that depicted Leticia’s death was removed from YT.

    • Ms. Phelps holds a BFA in directing from Carnegie Mellon University, awarded in 1972. At a time when women were underrepresented in directing programs, she was one of the few women in her graduating class. To suggest that she possessed no further talents than completely changing the style of music used on soaps seems like a vast underestimate when one reads her online biography through an objective lens. I guess that I should be more clever than to constantly blame misogyny for these misguided interpretations of her management style.  But, I'll never comprehend why fans unquestionably align their opinions even years after fact. Post-modernism, and the ability to reinterpret context through the study of history, seems to elude this conversation.
