This storyline has been going for two weeks since River showed up and one week with Eden. I have no doubt what you suggested is exactly how they will be playing this. This story won't be on day after day for months like the Newmans, Gloria or in the past the quad. They were ramping up these characters and storyline and were on for a number of consecutive days but they will probably go to two or three days a week now especially that the Abbotts are back.

I think it is too early to say if this story will be good or not. I want to see the Abbotts back, but it has been good for me and other Michael and Lauren fans to see them on screen on consecutive days for the first time in ages. Is it the best storyline I could think for them? No, but it is good having them on screen. Plenty of other characters have been on screen in mediocre storylines until they work them into a decent story. I mean how long have we had to watch this lousy Restless Style story going on. Let's not even talk about the reliquary story. I do care if Michael saves River but I care more about how Lauren and Michael will deal with these changes in their family. Much more than the countdown until the quad once again changes partners and we get another two years of bickering.

Have no fear, I have no doubt Tracey and Christian will be put on back burner again soon enough and we can get five days a week of the Newmans, the reversed quad, the revitalized Abbotts, and Gloria. Michael will be back to being lawyer to everyone and covering for Gloria twice a week and Lauren will be back to her once a week appearance and they will have their interrupted love scenes two or three times a year.

TOTAL word on that one. I'm SOOO all about those two hooking up.

Interesting---I was out on the net and read some comments from the girl playing Eden--she was directed to play everything how she did. That was what the show was looking for in those first scenes.

I hope Rauch gets rid of the actress who plays Eden soon. He so won't be impressed by her. For one, her acting sucks, and she's not pretty and blonde, so he won't excuse her bad acting. Either retool the character and recast with a decent actress, or write her out and have her go back to live at the ashram.

Oh and the actress that plays Eden is proof of why Karen Rea, the former casting director, was fired. Hopefully the new casting director will be much better, and I have much more faith in her.

But that was a conscious decision by Bill Bell based on the loss of key members of the Fosters and Brooks families. When David Hasselhoff left as Snapper and Jaime Lyn Bauer left as Lori Brooks, Bell wasn't sure how well recasts would go over, and he didn't think the remaining Brooks or Fosters, with the exception of Jill, had the staying power to drive story. So he decided to "reinvent" the show by pushing the Williams family to the forefront and beefing up the stories of the Abbotts and Victor and Nikki. Jill already was tied to Jack and John, so she continued on in the Abbott storyline, as did Katherine through her connection to Jill.
