Good god, I was flippinng through the channels and stopped on one of those stupid cinemax after dark shows. I happened to stumble upon this hottie who IMO looks a bit like Robert Newman with Kim Zimmer's sparkling blue eyes. Shayne Lewis kept popping up in my head and how this guy would be perfect to play Josh and Reva's son. He's got the looks, but I haven't seen enough of his acting to see if he can somewhat act. But he looks good Naked tough....

I don't think he's a porn star.....a least I hope not. I know that alot of daytime stars have been in some of those soft core shows. Lesli Kay, Bailey Chase, Kevin Spirtas, Jay Pickett, & Katherine Kelly Lang just to name a few.

No after my comment I did a search and it seems only the women have a hardcore porn past (I wasn't meaning to judge either--I just meant a soap prob wouldn't hire a "legit" porn star, at least knowingly--Wade Nichols/"Dennis Parker" on Edge of Night aside anyway). You're right there's a massive tradition of hiring actors--particularly men it seems, from those crappy cinemax soft core porn things (wasn't Karen Witter or whatever--one of the TInas on OLTL infamously in a lot of risque ones? I remember some controversy about that).

Days had a porn star in it's past too - Jeff Griggs. That is why Kristian Alfonso had a problem with him - at least according to rumors.

Both Griggs and Parker did straight and gay porn in their pasts.

I think it was OLTL who had an actress that either did porn after her stint or right after. Some call it soft-core porn but it was as close to hard core as I have ever seen without being hard core. I can't think of the name of the actress or the movie right now but I will find it.

The movie was one of the first ones I ever rented off of Netflix because it was one of those that not a lot of people carry. I'll get back with you on it.

Karen Witter was the controversial Tina on OLTL but I think from looking her up it was because of an 80s centerfold in Playboy (I didn't know she's married to sitcom creator/producer Chuck Lorre).

Eric, I do like some soft core and hard core porn. Not all the time but I do find them interesting. In the end I prefer a movie with sex and stuff in it that has a plot. To me porn only serves one purpose (lol) and when I can I like to fulfill that purpose with a film that does at least attempt to have a plot and some good acting too. LOL

Anyway I did find the name of the film. It is Score. It was made in the early 70's and released in the US in 1973. One of the stars was Lynn Lowry who would go on to play on How To Survive a Marriage for 16 months and then later had small parts on Another World & Knot's Landing.

Here is some of what Wikipedia says about Score:

The movie was really not all that bad as far as porn movies go. It had an actual plot and the acting was not as bad as some porn film acting is. And the scenes were pretty hot. The scene between the 2 men at the end of the movie was really hard core.

I had always heard about the movie but Netflix was the only place I could find it.

As far as Dante's Cove and all. I like many of those shows. but only when I look at them for what they are. I don't try to look at them as anything but soft core porn and enjoy them for that. They are by no means what I would want to watch all the time - even though I do love Tracy Scoggins in it.
