I don't know, but I'll keep you posted if he uploads more episodes. I can see why Raven and Sky (and their portrayers) became so popular. It's also great that Sharon Gabet and Larkin Malloy are still close friends to this day.

Thanks!

And I am enjoying Raven & Sky the more I see of them. All this talk of the last two years of the shows makes me wish more episodes would pop up. Even though they sound so campy and ridiculous on paper, the stories still sound endearing and I wanna see them.

That episode aired in mid-August 1983. The following week saw characters beginning to move into the Isis building and the introduction of Willie Aames as Robbie Hamlin, perhaps even the opening of Edge's new title sequence and revised theme song. According to the Edge homepage, we don't even see Louis Van Dine (the limping man with the mask) until late September. There's lots of action in the coming months -- people going insane, murders, a suicide, torture, mind control. We meet Louis' sister Alicia and his henchman Donald Hext. It all culminates in November when Monticello's he men storm the Isis building.

Willie was there for about 13 weeks. Robbie managed the Video Disco and created problems for Jody and Preacher.

I grew up in East Brunswick, NJ, which is where EON executive producer Erwin Nicholson lived. I recall my elementary school had an auction in 1985. I found out about it after the fact and was so disappointed: an autographed copy of the final script was one of the auction items. Nicholson taped scenes in East Brunswick in 1978…April's car accident was filmed there.

Oh Lord. Aug-Sept 1982... the Eden story. One of Edge's worst (but still a lot more bearable than most of what's on today... lol)

Lori Loughlin made this story easy to swallow. Very easy on the eyes back then, as she is today.

What made this easy to take as well was the Nora Fulton story was next, and that was one of the best stories of the final few years.

From what little I've seen, I can see that this was potentially EON's San Cristobal-type story, hence why I see why many didn't like it. I guess a lot of people don't care for royalty stories in soaps. With the exception of Mendorra 1.0 of course.

Not really. Unlike GL with that God-awful island, I don't recall Edge actually taking us to Eden. And I don't think it had anything to do with disliking royalty stories. The story just wasn't interesting or compelling. It started off with potential, but then fell apart and was boring as can be. The actors who played Pietro and Viva, who kidnapped Jody, were very good but both got killed off. A major part of the problem was the very weak actor (Mark Andrews) that they cast as Chad Sutherland, who was critical to the story. He was painful to watch, drug the story down, and had no chemistry with Lori Loughlin's Jody. It just got worse as time went on with Edge using stock footage of a renaissance faire as the story played out to its conclusion. I lost interest and nearly gave up on Edge but watched the story play out to its absurd (Jody getting shot with a crossbow) yet boring conclusion. Thankfully, Chad was shipped back to Eden and Andrews was dropped from the cast.

I did not like the Eden story at all. However, there was a female character named Viva, and I thought that the actress who played her was beautiful.

Raven's false imprisonment or Raven being tricked by the Whitney acting troup is often said by fans of The Edge of Night as one of the worst storylines.

However, compared to the Eden storyline and the Ian Deveraux storyline, I think that it was quite good. I was a teacher at the time that the show was airing, and I could no wait to get home every afternoon to see how those characters who were involved were going to trick Raven.

Craig Augestine as Johnny was one of my favorite actors/characters on The Edge of Night.

I think the show had a lot of problems in its later years, even before Slesar departed, with the shifting emphasis on the dull young characters and more bizarre/adventure-type stories in order to make it more compatible with GH.

    • That was the best part of Tuesday's episode.  Martin and Smitty and their family are boring.
    • Crew Morrow's acting on Tuesday's episode was just dreadful. The weird faces he was making were just awful
    • Creatively, he probably should have stayed with The Doctors, where he stood out as an antihero lead. Not sure what happened with GH. He didn't have the same impact. Was it bad writing, not clicking with co-stars? Didn't they gave him a boat load of money to join GH in 1976? Was Mark Dante just a toned-down version of Nick Bellini? Were they basically the same character?
    • All I can think of is if a lot of big names were leaving around that time she wanted him back as a stopgap, although I have never seen any real evidence that he was popular with GH viewers.
    • I loved watching Shanice hand Leslie her ass and finally shutting her up. It was so good. I also love Martin & Smitty's family.  Anita has to have some sort of plan giving Leslie the tickets to mail for Winterfest. She has to be setting her up for a fall. It's pretty obvious to me Vernon is not cheating with Sharon. I think Sharon is helping him with his terrible singing voice for Winterfest. I still believe Bill & Dani are endgame but I love Dani & Andre too. I am definitely enjoying this story. And making Hayley a black widow is a nice twist.
    • Sorry for the spam. Wasn't sure where to put this, it's from Tony Geary's husband's IG. Tony watching Genie and Maurice on Mo's show.
    • This show is really trundling along BTW. When is someone going to show up to slit Beastmaster's throat or crack the whip on metrosexual Sidwell? (BTW, openly presenting this cheery bon vivant as casually bisexual would at least be something vaguely diverting.) At least kill Brennan by year's end. I'm bored.
    • She told Vanessa to "DOUBLE her offer" on the Jarvis house.  The Jarvis family accepted the doubled price.  Assuming the house has an appraised value of $2,000,000, she's theoretically paid the Jarvis family $4,000,000 for the house.  The bank would loan Leslie 80% of the appraised value ($1,600,000), and Leslie had to pay the balance with cash at closing --- $2,200,000.  She only had ONE million.  Where the hell did she get the rest?!  And now she's got contractors working on the house all day & half the night.  Who's paying THEM?  I keep thinking all this will crash around her.  Either that or the writers have absolutely no idea the limits of a million dollars.  Sounds like a "lot of money", but it obviously ain't when we look at Leslie's spending since she got that million dollar check in August.

    • Vernon is an idiot. Why would he have Sharon in the same hotel that Leslie is staying at?
