Comparing Erin to Baker is just a gross comparison, and just down right insulting of Erin's talent.

I think Bree Williamson reminds me of Susan Flannery in that she plays strong obscenely well and she can play the long term suffering woman without a flaw but she just isn't soft enough for vulnerability. Erin has a softness and vulnerability down to an art form while I find myself not feeling sorry enough for Bree's Jess. However I do feel overwhelmingly protective of Erin's Megan/Jess.

I don't know who Amanda Baker is, but I admire Bree and Erin in different ways. Erin was so young when she was on the show that it's a little hard to compare.

But the way I see it, Erin pulled off the character of Jessica better than Bree does, and Bree pulls off the character of Tess better than I think Erin probably could

Me too, but Jess is the central character, not Tess. So, for that reason alone, Erin is the real Jess.

Erin doesn't go for over the top theatrics like Bree does, and that places her miles ahead in the acting department in my book. Bree does have a sexier edge to her though, while Erin is more girl next door.

Anyone else find it strange that we're supposed to believe that Bo and the rest of the Buchanan's are back in 1968, when the Buchanan's didn't exist until the 80's on this show?

I'm still waiting for references to the Woleks, Reillys, and Siegels. Until then, this isn't a tribute to OLTL's 40 year old history, it's a tribute to OLTL from the 80's to present.

Vicki and Dorian existed on this show way before the Buchanan's, it would be nice it both remembered their history pre-80's.

And I agree with MTS, the camp is bringing everything down, the recent shows are best in the serious dramatic department.

I felt like the universe was going to turn inside out when the maid and later Rex and Bo were were watching OLTL on the TV. AND Viki wasn't a teen when OLTL started, they made her look very young in that "flashback".

Wow. This week has been awesome and its only Tuesday!! I LOOOVED the whole Tina/Sarah/Carlo scenes. Viki's going back to history, brilliant. This soap has been delivering on all cylinders and has not skipped beat yet. I love it.

I agree with whomever said OLTL is better at the drama stuff, but I also am glad they kept this SL going. This is all a nod at OLTL's history and it is campy but still so fun to watch-- as it was back then. It has been great seeing it and fun too IMO.

I would hardly call this JER styled camp LOL.:lol: There is no way JER could write emotionally compelling SL. MOST of this Viki goes to heaven story was all about emotion-- nothing more, nothing less. And if JER was writing the waterfall scenes Sarah would have been on the edge for about 3 weeks and then fell down with fire coming up the falls. Yup, that sounds about right.

Again, I thought this was an episode for the long time fans almost written as a greeting card to the fans. Had a lot of the sentimental moments and past characters. It celebrated the past as well as told a story. So much better than other anniversary shows I have seen with soaps.
