I think (well, sincerely hope) there are more aftershocks coming.

But I totally think they copped out by not picking up the action exactly where they left off on Thursday's episode. If they wanted to convince me Holden gave a crap about what his actions have done, they would have shown me him gasping in horror realizing Lily deliberately aimed her car at Carly, as he stared at Lily unconscious in her smashed up car. (Not to mention, Lily aiming her car at Carly would have made a lot more sense had I realized Lily was seeing Carly coming from her house, after asking Holden if they'd ever done it under Lily's roof...which didn't make sense to me either, but whatever. I assumed Carly was somewhere near Java yesterday.)

Muttering and mumbling excuses to Lily and Luke didn't convince me of anything.

LOL.....thats what Holden was doing. Muttering and mumbling...it was real pathetic. I was confused to where Lily tried to run down Carly. I thought it was at Java? Didnt Lily say she was coming out of her house?? I am confused...LOL.

Lily said she was getting home and I think she said she turned into the retaining wall. I totally expected today's show to start where it left off yesterday and actually replay the start of that scene with Carly in the headlights. Big missed opportunity that they didn't show that. My biggest complaint about this story was that the fallout wouldn't be worth it because JP just doesn't do fallout well and sadly so far it has lived down to my expectations with the biggest disappointment being Holden. I did love the CarJack scenes today since they can make more of it than is on the script.

I sure hope Liberty and Parker don't go there with sex and the last thing I want is a teen pregnancy with them. Mick is only 15 and just too young for that kind of story.

Sorry but I can't stand the character of Janet and really disliked her today. I'm okay with Julie but not Janet.

Me too. I like the characters but hate the story. Mala from SOW wrote a good opinion on this in this week's mag about it going way too fast and that it's like watching kiddie porn. I don't think this is what the majority of viewers want. And knowing that Mick just turned 15 makes it even more uncomfortable for me.

First off, that wreck just didn't make sense. AT ALL. I was surprised at how quickly Lily turned all "Julia#1-ish" when she saw Carly in mowing-down distance. <_<

Noelle Beck is an okay actress but Friday's scenes just made me cringe. Her inability to play such a layered character like Lily really showed for me. That woman was straining so hard you could see the veins bulging from her neck!!!! She needs to quit trying so hard. It's not working. :(

I know I'm gonna sound so "fangurl"-eque, but I just can't help thinking I might buy a little bit of Lily's distress/feelings/motivation if Martha were still in the role. But alas.....she's not. *sigh*

I did like, however, that they called Holden out on his hypocritical ways (RE: Dusty) and I loved how Carly gave Jack an earful about his high horse. Maybe now he'll un-mount from it. (Here's to hoping...)

 Slow-mo'ing Maura's screams to "Get out" was comical. The expressions were less than flattering for her, but quite comical...(and bone-chilling when watched in full speed...LOL)

    • Cady McClain said the same thing with her hairdos - she switched it up so much because she was either unhappy or bored. Kim must have been unhappy in 1996 because she has so many different short styles, it's wild (haha).
    • She definitely was trying new things with her hair and makeup in the 1986 scenes I saw so it tracks. Rauch wouldn't have been there, but it just strikes me as a conversation Rauch would have had with her with when he was at GL. Rauch loved to badmouth JC. So she put it in the book as if she had been told at the time. It's like how she has Michelle Forbes on GL years before she actually arrives or Ellen Wheeler firing people who had been fired yrs. before by Rauch or Conboy.
    • From what actors have said, Y&R has been very busy taping the upcoming storyline
    • Well, a good number of sets were up when I was there, but there was a limited number of people around. Even Y&R seemed dead, but maybe everyone was out for lunch at the time? I remember driving from the parking lot and preparing to enter the roadway when I saw Michelle Stafford and Christian LeBlanc returning from what I think was their lunch break. Not sure where they went or were coming from.
    • A scene I cannot wait to see. Julie Harris as Liliemae is the gift that keeps on giving; she's not outright evil, but frustrating, and in her own way, still pretty lovable.
    • Kim used to say that you can tell when she was unhappy because she would try weird or new things with her hair. I don't think Rauch was at OLTL at the time Zimmer was but their producer at the time probably wasn't much of a peach either.
    • I wonder if less set use was preparing for the move. They probably were preparing for this for awhile now
    • The early part of the season is decent. After that, Season 9 is one of the worst seasons until season 13. Season 10 is a little worse. That would have made sense, even if it cost us one of my favorite scenes (Ben putting Lilliemae in a headlock). That's an excellent storyline and leads to the show's last strong season finale.
    • The TVC Studio 31 that they used for 38 years was only about 13,730 sq ft., according to the TVC website specs: https://televisioncityla.com/stages-offices/ Sunset Las Palmas Studios has 11 sound stages, which go up to 20,000 sq ft., though we're yet to learn which of those sound stages will house B&B. Depending on which one, the specs for it can be found here: https://www.sunsetstudios.com/los-angeles/las-palmas-studios/ Sound Stages 4, 5 and 9 are available for use starting September 1, 2025. It's unclear if either of those stages would be used by B&B since they begin production there starting Tuesday, August 19, 2025, which would be before the date shown on the website, but we shall see. Of those three sound stages, only Sound Stage 4 and 5 make sense since they are larger than the specs the show had at TVC, while 9 is quite smaller. Sound Stage 4 would be the best option overall for B&B since it has 18,819 sq ft., the largest individual sound stage at the lot - Stage 3 and Stage 8 share space, which combined makes the space 19,900 sq ft. --- Forgot to add, unless there was an issue with storing the sets, the changes at TVC should have had no issue with production on the show, resulting in fewer set use as there has been no movement in terms of construction that would impact either show (B&B/Y&R). Of the 2-3 times I've been at the studio, the most recent for Don Diamont's 40 years at CBS, it was the most dead I had ever seen the space, but that could be due to vacations, holidays, or the preparation of the B&B move.
    • I didn't post about it in the BtG thread as I still don't watch the show (an hour runtime is just too much for me right now with a new soap I can't just mostly skip through) but I can't imagine the ego of someone who is hired as a breakdown writer and decides to [!@#$%^&*] their own name all over the show. Classless beyond belief. Any writer who cares more about masturbatory behavior than quality of work should not be hired.
