Members danfling
Actor James Noble, who played a doctor whose wife wanted to adopt a child on The Doctors around 1967 or 1968, has passed away at the age of 94.
Members All My Shadows
He played Bill Winters. Their storyline was on the frontburner for several months in the reruns.
Members DRW50
I didn't realize he was still alive. He was so typical of soaps of that era, even though the rest of the show was somewhat atypical. I think his one-on-ones with Althea were the best use of the character, although I did like the end of the adoption story with Ruth.
Members Dave_01
The cable channel FamilyNet started airing Benson reruns a few months ago. It's the first time I've gotten to see the show in years. James and Robert Guillaume worked so well together, and the show is still fun to watch. I liked getting to see James as Dr. Winters in those 1st few weeks of Retro's TD reruns. Those lengthy dialogues between Winters and Althea were great. RIP, James.

Members DRW50
I think this has been around before, maybe on saynotoursoap, but this channel has a lot of soap material so I assume it's theirs. Seeing this again after finally getting to see more of Carolee Campbell makes me see what a good (if very somber) recast Jada Rowland was. Members DRW50
I wonder if that is saynotoursoap's DM channel. Is that strike material?
Members NothinButAttitude
I was thinking it's his DM channel too b/c the person there uses the same icon pic as he did on YT. I started following them earlier this week.
Members SoapDope
I didn't realize that Laryssa Lauret (Karen) died last year. RIP.
Members danfling
Robert Mason Pollock, who was a head writer for The Doctors, As the World Turns, The Guiding Light, and serial Santa Barbara (which he co-created and co-produced) has passed away at the age of 99. He was the son-in-law of Frank and Doris Hursley. Edited July 19, 2016 by danfling Mistake - needs to be deleted!
Members DRW50
Sad to hear. I wonder if his family have watched any of the reruns.
Members Paul Raven
Sorry but Danfling is confusing the Pollocks with Jerome and Bridget Dobson. The Pollocks wrote Brighter Day,Love of Life The Doctors,General Hospital and Dynasty. Edited July 19, 2016 by Paul Raven
Members All My Shadows
Yeah, I was about to say, I don't recall the Pollocks having anything to do with SB, considering they were knee-deep in Dynasty at the time. It's actually pretty interesting to me as I'm watching both their Dynasty and their Doctors sorta concurrently.
