Not that I will be sorry to see the destruction of the Masood family on a breather, but apparently Christian and Syed will not be seen for about 5-6 weeks. And once again, like when Syed married Amira, the more demanding material takes place offcamera, while endless variations of "Syed's eyes well up over (anything and everything)" and "Christian furrows his brow as he does his Joan Crawford impression" take up weeks and weeks of airtime. I liked Amira but the show treated her as just a plot device. I just LOVED the way it was handled, and the look on Peggy's face when she realized that Sharon had bought the Vic. My PBS station was airing Sharon's final year or so of her original stint at the time, so I knew the character, and I was watching the show in near real time on BBC America at the time. So, I knew who Sharon was, but I didn't know at the time she was returning, so it really shocked me when she was the new owner of the Vic then.
