Carlo was created by Paul Rauch's people, a year before Gottlieb and Malone.

So during Margaret DePriest's brief era, '90-91 or so? Mkaes sense, he does have shades of her beloved Stefano from DAYS ;)

what I also hate about Nora is this is the second time she's done a witch hunt to bring down Lindsay for a murder. Back when Colin was killed, she was so convinced Lindsay did it that she harassed her, tried to get everyone to think it was her and was so cruel to her about it only to remember that she is the one that killed him herself. She blamed Lindsay for a crime that she commited and she was horrible back then and 10 times worse now

Monday's episode was good but being a some what new viewer I am lost in the Mendorra s/l. It is a decent s/l and I really like Carlo so far but other than that not to interested yet.

Great Tuesday episode. There were so many character interactions and storylines taking place it was amazing! No need to say more, tomorrow looks just as good.

Rex is the cutiest thing and his scenes with Bo are always wonderful.

The Charlie-Roxy friendship is also a lot of fun. I think he is one of the nicest characters to appear on a soap in many many years and this has a lot to do with the actor who portrays him.

A very funny scene when David visited Viki and told her that he had some news for her. "Oh my God. Shall I sit?". ES seemed really scared of what she might hear.

I liked the Tess scenes. And Girex are so cute when they are together. :)

Thanks to RC there is no way to get bored of OLTL. This episode had nothing to do with the episode prior to that (Tina, Cain, Carlo, Starr, Todd, etc).

Not the same scenes every day. Not the same dialogue. Every episode seems like a new chapter that adds something to my favorite book. I love it!

on a side note, I loved Tess calling Bree, Grape. I loved that Ron remembered it bc I forgot it until she said it. Viki didnt even catch on when she said that that was something she came up with with Nash when she was pregnant. Tess was the dominant personality during the pregnancy and the one thinking up names with Nash. Jessica was more into Antonio and tried to push Nash away

LOL. She did look taken back when Tess called her little Grape, but I didn't even catch the fact that Tess outted herself to Viki, so I wasn't surprised that Viki didn't catch it. She seems suspicious but I guess David/Addie/Charlie/Dorian is going to sidetrack her today. I don't think Viki will catch a clue until the end of ES's looooong vacation.

I think Nora's been out of line but I don't hate her. I can understand her motivations but she could of handled things ten times better. She was over the top and no one supported her because of it. She could of quietly handled the matter to be more mature about it. Of course, it's a soap so there was no way that was happening

I have to say, I was absolutely THRILLED to get a break from who we had on Monday's episode. UGH. (except Tina/Cain, Carlo/Talia). Tuesday's episode was far better and I enjoyed everything about it. I love Charlie and Roxy's friendship and her helping him uncover who he was drinking with. Robin Strasser has been looking fantastic lately. I loved Dorian trading barbs with David and then with Addie again. It was just full of such rich dialog. I'm still not liking Tess much. I don't have any emotional investment in her, so that's why this story isn't working for me. I loved the Rex and Bo scenes. It's a shame they can't really make Rex Bo's son. I couldn't ever see Roxy and Bo doing the deed, so ... lol. I didn't even mind the Natalie, Jared and Gigi scenes. I also love the Viki and David friendship to no end. It's very sweet. He's probably the brother she wishes she had instead of Todd. I also enjoyed the Lindsay and Nora scenes. I don't like Lindsay being the whiny victim though. What happened to the fierce Lindsay who would never take that kind of crap from Nora? Ugh. That bugged me. We did see Lindsay fight back a little but she knows she doesn't have much of a leg to stand on, I suppose. Nora was obnoxious today.

I loved how Viki was telling Tess/Jess about what David said about "his liver". The tone in her voice was so affectionate. None of the exasperation there that usually is evident in any conversation she has with her real brother.

OK, for some reason I didn't find Tuesday's episode as gripping as Monday's. Maybe it's because, much as I like Viki, I'm not that invested in Viki & Charlie as a couple. I did enjoy David's nakedness freaking Dorian out and everything Tess did -- especially the way she watched Viki coldly as she pretended to be "Jessie."

And that look she shot Natalie at the end. Melissa Archer looked so scared and vulnerable for a split second. Good acting.

The Nora/Lindsey scenes were great. Even though Nora is a self-righteous windbag.

No Cole/Starr yesterday. Score.

I'm increasingly thinking that Rex's dad might be

Carlo

I really wish that they won't make Rex Bo's son. I like their relationship and it would be very sweet to continue acting like father and son without sharing the same blood. Things like that happen in real life. Friendships like that exist and whenever they are presented in soaps the people end up being related at the end.

tell me about it. I thought it was bad enough what she did yesterday and it looked like even she wasnt happy with her outcome. Now we find out she wasnt happy bc she wants Lindsay to suffer even more. Nora is so despicable. I absolutely HATE this character and want her killed off. She is such a hypocrite and liar and this vendetta against Lindsay is personal no matter how much she hides behind the law to justify her actions. Is she forgetting that when her own daughter Rachel killed someone, she did everythign in her power to protect her, even going so far as to take her on the run to escape prosecution?

Lindsay was so right calling Nora out on her vindictive obsession with her. Nora's moved on? Ha! Who is she fooling? So many things she has done over the past year has proven that she has not moved on from what went down between she, Bo and Lindsay nearly a decade ago.

WORD to this Cheap!

Lindsay was right, Nora is OBSESSED with her. I think Nora hates Lindsay more than she(Nora) loves Bo

I'm usually indiffernt about Nora but I would probaly hate someone who tried to kill me a few times too and got away with it too. JMO.

I absolutely agree with you on this. Their relationship would be MORE valuable this way, when they don't necessarily "have" to interact as father/son, but "choose" to interact as father/son.

I'd much prefer a devil like Carlo as Rex's father. If Bo got his commissioner's job back, think of Rex's pseudo-father Bo going up against his bio father Carlo, and Rex wanting to maintain a relationship with both of them!

  • Member

But with Rex's intelligence I don't know that he'd WANT a relationship with Carlo if he was his father.

  • Member

I think when Rex has expressed so much "want" for this, his logic and intelligence might go out the window. Especially if Carlo sees an opportunity in Rex (as a way to get to Bo and the Buchanans?) and tries to portray a different side to Rex, the side Rex WANTS to see in a father. Rex has no frame of reference on Carlo, and might just want to form his own opinions, rather than take the word of Roxy (who's lied to him countless times), Bo (who doesn't know what it's like NOT to have a family around him growing up), or Talia (who Rex has no reason to listen to anyway). I can see Rex investing deeply in Carlo, only to find out in the end that Carlo IS as bad as everyone said he is, and Rex ultimately comes to realize that true family is the one you build for yourself, not necessarily the one you're born into.
