So I'm on this rant about saying tons of positive things about soap operas and I will get to that but...there's something that I think the writers need to catch on to. The P.I. took photos of Eric on the balcony with his SLR Nikon camera. That is not a digital camera. If that were the case, he would've had to develop the pictures from a lab, and then he would've been able to give it to the tabloid magazine. Now if the camera was a digital camera, he could have loaded it to his blackberry with an SD Card, and then sent the pics that way. (I don't even know if most blackberry phones take SD cards or USB ports.) Anyway, it just didn't seem realistic enough for him to have done that in the matter of 2 mins! They could have at least shown him making more of an effort. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was a clever plot, but just not realistic even if it is a soap opera.

I do like Stephanie trying so hard to win Eric back but we all know that it's not going to happen. B&B has such great actors. Also, Donna was a little bit of a bimbo when she confronted Stephanie. That's a pretty gutsy move to do that considering you're sleeping with her husband and can put your brother back in jail. Though Donna might have been dim, that's why she's so much fun to watch. She's sort of a boarderline villain with tons of sex appeal.

I actually don't because I just feel like they're being wasted and replay the same tired scenes over and over and over again. Storm flounces in praising the gods for Stephanie's forgiveness, he tells Brooke he's there for her, Brooke frowns, Katie rolls her eyes and has no life of her own and occasionally Donna pops in to get a lecture. It's old and needs to move forwards. I mean who the hell is Katie Logan? What's her character, her history, her motivation? Heather Tom's been on the show for months and she has no character, just a name.

Why do 4 30something people keep sitting around Brooke's loungeroom rehashing old [!@#$%^&*] all day long? I guess because the show forgets to give character or motivation to supporting players for any length of time, just like Thorne and Felicia.

Moving on, Monday's show was reasonably amusing in a parody sort of way. I like it when they acknowledge the Forresters' "fame" and they get smeared across the tabloids.

I don't know what to make of recent B&B. On one hand, it's hilarious, on the other hand, I'm not sure if I've ever been so ashamed to see Kay Alden's name on the credits.... Liked the whole: "Eric hiding in the nude" and P.I. taking pictures stuff.

Well, they've already had that idea twice now with Taylor and Bridget, if I only assume Katie will get the same treatment, but wouldn't it rock, if Nick really fell for Katie and wouldn't even give Brooke the time of day no matter how many times she flaunted herself in front of him. :D

Oh, I do know. It would be like waving a red cape in front of a bull, I would just love it if it didn't work this time. If Nick was so over the moon about Katie that he didn't give Brooke the time of day. Yeah, I know I'm dreaming, but it's a good dream, don't wake me up.

Please tell me that wasn't a chemistry test between Nick & Katie. Please. I'm hoping it was just about Katie being controlling and trying to get Nick to back off.

And Nick assuming that Katie ( a ) hates men and ( b ) acts out on the basis of a love affair gone wrong? Arrogant much?

Ridge: "We need to rediscover each other." Of course he meant sex.

Seeing a naked Eric try and shoo away those pigeons on the ledge was probably one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. As was Stephanie's response to Donna's "Eric doesn't need any enhancement."

"Oh, honey, he hasn't been au naturel in years."

ITA though that the impetus from B&B appears to have dissipated. It seems to be falling back into a rut of lazy, predictable SLs. I mean, the Brooke/Ridge/Taylor/Nick saga must write itself. They've had about 15 years of practice.

And ITA about more definition on the characters of Katie. Felicia. Thorne. Ashley. Bridget. They are practically day players with all the filler they get given. There is no excuse for their not getting SLs. B&B averages about two SL arcs a month. In between rotation of B/R/N/T, how about coming up with something for these five other characters?
