It's amazing that Jeanne Cooper continued to do such physically demanding fight scenes as her age progressed. Joan Collins would have had a stunt man in drag ready to take her place.

What do you mean 'would have' ;) Listen, I'm a massive Joan Collins fan but I'm the first to admit that the divine Miss JC doesn't do stunts, never has, never will and you know what? I adore her anyways.

It is amazing that Jeanne Cooper kept the fight scenes going as long as she did. I dare say that, with a little help from a blond stunt woman, Katherine has a few good knock down drag outs left in her!

I've been sooo busy and didn't have much time to write (and the shows bored me) but I am trying again. Anyway, To each their own I guess. I love Amelia as Victoria. I like Heather as well (as Kelly Buchanon), but Amelia just as much. I don't think she brings anyone down (esp when these past few weeks she wasn't even awake in the scenes LOL). I thought she did an awesome job with the waking up stuff, especially when she realized she wasn't pregnant anymore and cried out for her baby. I'll call her Victoria because that's exactly who I see when I watch her on the screen.

It's shocking just how good one half of Wednesday's episode was while the other was horrible. LOVED the Kay flashbacks and Jeanne Cooper's amazing talents. She is the only person who can make Amber tolerable and I wish they'd show some of Amber's many mistakes via B&B flashbacks. B&B showed Y&R flashbacks for Ashley, so why can't Y&R do the same? They've been so lazy with Amber.

One thing I continue to hate is Jill as a supporting character. We get glimmers here and there, but not nearly enough for me. Jess looked amazing in her fierce suit and fur coat.

I hear you about Jill...there are definite glimmers which I think is a big improvement over the lack of anything during the LML reign. Jill is NOT a supporting character, she was never meant to be and never was under Bill Bell and Kay Alden. It was Jack Smith who dropped the ball and nobody has had the guts to pick it back up. Jess has 2 Emmys dammit, give the lady something to do that doesn't involve Cane, Lily, or Amber (I would include Katherine but I'm all for a Kay/Jill feud)

What's sciatica? (I'm slow, I know)

I'm not really a AH fan but I was sorta moved by Fauxtoria waking up from her coma. Especially when she got introduced to her baby. MTS and EB's reactions were what made the scene, though. Like when Nikki had to turn away when Victor took Fauxtoria in his arms.

(And anyway, I love Heather Tom playing Katie Logan on B&B. Love her).

Um, did Gloria kill 101 zebras for her coat? Glo looked more Cruella than ever. And Jana really bugs me. Why is she on the show and Ji Min was killed off? A lot of LML's "creations" still really bug me. Jana being one of them. David Chow and Karen being others. I mean, at least Judith Chapman doesn't care about her character being hated; she plays Gloria to be this hated figure and that's cool. But Jana... David... Karen. Could they be any more nondescript? Like, all this talk about Drucilla just highlights how dull Karen and others really are.

But scenes of the WEEK? Anything involving Kay and Jill. Especially the flashbacks! Awww, Rex! I miss Rex. He was a great pairing for Kay, back when shows weren't afraid of showing women over the age of 50 having a real love interest. And that Jill/Kay antagonism needs to be re-mined, not re-written! I love them as friends/mom/daughter because it seems clear that JC and JW get along IRL. But as deeply hating rival bitches? AMAZING.

Damn, I think those two might be my favorite characters on the show. They have the best whiskey-soaked voices in the business, for a start.

Still hate the Amber-propping, though. What a little brown-noser she is. <_<

IMHO, AH is miscasted in the role of victoria. I do think shes a good actress, and coukld really shien in most roles. But Vicotira Newman is one fierce powerful hell on heelz kinda bitch, and AH is not.

What's sciatica? (I'm slow, I know)

From Wikipedia (I know, the poor man's source of information).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sciatica

Sciatica is a set of symptoms including pain that may be caused by general compression and/or irritation of one of five nerve roots that give rise to the sciatic nerve, or by compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve itself. The pain is felt in the lower back, buttock, and/or various parts of the leg and foot. In addition to pain, which is sometimes severe, there may be numbness, muscular weakness, and difficulty in moving or controlling the leg. Typically, the symptoms are only felt on one side of the body.

Although sciatica is a relatively common form of low back pain and leg pain, the true meaning of the term is often misunderstood. Sciatica is a set of symptoms rather than a diagnosis for what is irritating the root of the nerve, causing the pain. This point is important, because treatment for sciatica or sciatic symptoms will often be different, depending upon the underlying cause of the symptoms.

The first cited use of the word "sciatica" was registered in 1450.

It's actually pronounced VICT-WHOR-IA. The real Victoria is masquerading around as Katie Logan in Los Angeles. I'm still hoping that Ashley figures that out before returning to Genoa City.

Really? When did she say that? Poor thing...I know Jeanne Cooper had a bout of this last year but I had no idea Michelle Stafford suffered from it as well.

It can be really painful. My mom has had bouts of it off and on for years and at times you can barely walk.

Keep an eye out for Nick's erection tomorrow midway through the Friday Feb 1 US show. He's laying on the couch with Phyllis, in a non romantic scene, lol.

This past Saturday night I was watching a rerun of one of my old favorite shows, THE BIG VALLEY, and the episode's guest star was none other than our Jeanne (pre-facelift of course) and it was SPECTACULAR!!! Cooper went head-to-head in a number of scenes with the late great Barbara Stanwyck in a great verbal battle of divas...when I tell you Dame Cooper was ON FIRE as a murderous middle aged woman fighting to recapture the essence of youth as well as the creature comforts of wealth (with Cooper soulfully yelling unforgettably to the hercharacter's dishrag of a husband "I remember when my skin was soft before the dirt and dust hardened it...I want to be a WOMAN again!") I wonder why she wasn't cast on a soap long before 1973!

Ok, now you make me want to search for that episode on YouTube!

You know, I found the Cane and Amber stuff touching today and I usually can't stand either character. I Love the set-up of Jill running Chancellor and Nikki running Jabot, there ought to be some fierce bitchy interactions there.

Oh and it's so time to undo Cane as Jill's son. I want Nina and Phillip IV to come back and maybe give Phillip some illness where it would require Kay and Jill to test their blood and we find out that all three are direct matches, which makes Cane the fraud we all know he is. Or maybe just Jill is a match and Kay and Jill are no longer mother and daughter as well.. :D

Also, it's about time Tricia Cast came back....
