Apparently, Josh Griffith is a very hands on EP at Y&R, according to Adrienne Frantz he's always there on set guiding the actors. Hmm, all this in addition to his head writing duties...

She also mentioned that Josh and Brad Bell are good friends, so I'm guessing Griffith has the support of the Bells...

Hmmmmmmmmm....the plot thickens! I never figured Griffith would really have anything to do with the Bells...but if he's getting advice and guidance from them....that explains a lot.

What is the source for this? I'd love to read the original.

It sounds like Josh's interaction with the cast is at the same level as Ed Scott's.

And, if he's REALLY that active right now, he must need no sleep.

Then again, although he's (reportedly) hands-on with the actors, he could be the type of EP who doesn't micro-manage, but instead allows the rest of the crew to do the jobs they have been hired to do. Which could explain why, from a technical standpoint, Y&R feels more and more like its' old self these days.

The weird thing is that in the credits provided by show (which are used in the episodes that stream at CBS.Com) on Jan 28, Bell, Minnis, Alden and Snyder are credited that day, but in the version that CBS inserts at the end of the shows on the air (using the same generic format for all their shows), there are no writers credited. Maybe CBS caught the writers being listed in error in the Bell-Phillip provided version and fixed it?
