Members Adam
Nah I doubt it. Aren't they just like fact checkers and proof readers or something?
Members Dan
I'm more surprised that the assistants are still listed and that they haven't been fired by the production companies in retaliation like at many other places.
Administrator Toups Posted February 1, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted February 1, 2008 Shante Barros and Dan Mooney? Or did ATWT get new assistants? Writers assistants eventually want to join the writing staff, so I doubt they're scabbing.
Members Khan
I wonder if any ATWT actors might be writing scripts in secret for the show?
Members Soapsuds
Dan Mooney and GiGi Swift were in the credits. Marie Masters anyone? Today's script was very good.
Administrator Toups Posted February 1, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted February 1, 2008 Thanks! The Canadian credits are never updated.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Apparently, Josh Griffith is a very hands on EP at Y&R, according to Adrienne Frantz he's always there on set guiding the actors. Hmm, all this in addition to his head writing duties... She also mentioned that Josh and Brad Bell are good friends, so I'm guessing Griffith has the support of the Bells... Members MarkH
Hmmmmmmmmm....the plot thickens! I never figured Griffith would really have anything to do with the Bells...but if he's getting advice and guidance from them....that explains a lot. What is the source for this? I'd love to read the original. It sounds like Josh's interaction with the cast is at the same level as Ed Scott's. And, if he's REALLY that active right now, he must need no sleep. Members Khan
Then again, although he's (reportedly) hands-on with the actors, he could be the type of EP who doesn't micro-manage, but instead allows the rest of the crew to do the jobs they have been hired to do. Which could explain why, from a technical standpoint, Y&R feels more and more like its' old self these days.
Members Sylph
Marie would never scab. She wrote fantastic stuff back in the day when she was a part of the team.

Members boldfan01
The weird thing is that in the credits provided by show (which are used in the episodes that stream at CBS.Com) on Jan 28, Bell, Minnis, Alden and Snyder are credited that day, but in the version that CBS inserts at the end of the shows on the air (using the same generic format for all their shows), there are no writers credited. Maybe CBS caught the writers being listed in error in the Bell-Phillip provided version and fixed it?
