2008: The Directors and Writers Thread

I don't see how Friday's show was any better than a Passanante episode. It seemed exactly the same except for worse dialogue. I think people who want Passanante out are gonna read wayyy too much into this.

The thing though is that her stuff is not all that great dialogue wise either, atleast I heard some history being brought into the show today, and that is something JP does not do well with. I can't wait to see some of the new storylines start. Come Mid Feb and Early March.

I really think there has been changes for a while now, all this character interaction and stuff starting like a month ago out of nowhere, so I think CG or whoever has been reworking things for a while. And today her outlines ran out, so everyone's names went away, when her's did.

Maybe the rumors of her being out totally are true? Sure seems like they are ending alot of her stuff, and starting new stuff.

Hallo, a question please

who's writing BB now

Kay Alden??

thanks

Now as in on air episodes - nobody we know.

Kay Alden went Fi-Core but we don't know exactly when after the strike began, that's why her name is not in the credits yet.

Glad those hacks at ATWT are finally out. It's like they amped up the crappy writer during their final month. I don't know what to think about Kay Alden going FiCore. It'll be interesting to see someone new as the sole HW, but I don't want this to ruin her future in the long term. She needs to stay post-strike! Hopefully she balances the cast more.

Kay Alden will be fine whatever happens post strike. She's rich, her husband is rich and she's nearing 60, I don't think she cares to be involved in the corporate world of soaps. With Brad she's happy. He obviously has some faith in her, this is the first time in 14 years that Brad won't be the HW. What an odd feeling.

VERY interesting with Shaughnessy back as a director at Y&R...I love David, something much bigger is going on and that's all I'm going to say about it.

DaytimeFan, hasn't some actor said in an interview that Brad is increasingly anxious about the current situation in regards to writing?

He is Y&R's next EP (after the strike) and Nancy Curlee will be head writing. B)
