Ugly Kid Joe - Everything About You

I hate the rain and sunny weather

And I hate beach and mountains too

I don't like a thing about the city, no, no

And I I I hate the countryside too

And I hate everything about you

Everything about you

I don't like a thing about your mother

And I I hate your daddy's guts too

I don't like a thing about your sister

Because I think sex is overrated too

And I get sick when I'm around

I can't stand to be around

I hate everything about you

Everything about you

Everything about you

Everything about you

Some say I've got a bad attitude

But that don't change the way I feel about you

And if you think this might be bringing me down

Look again because I ain't wearing no frown

I don't really care about your sister

[!@#$%^&*] the little bitch because I already kissed her

One thing that I did to your lady

I put her on the bed and she didn't say maybe

I know you know everybody knows

The way it comes, the way it's gonna go

You think it's sad

Well that's too bad

Because I'm having

A ball hating

Every little thing about you

Everything about you, everything about

I get sick when I'm around

I can't stand to be around

I hate everything about you

"Us Against The World" by Westlife

Us against the world

Against the world

Us against the world

Against the world

You and I, we’ve been at it so long

And still got the strongest fire

You and I, we still know how to talk

Know how to walk that wire

Sometimes I feel like The world is against me

The sound of your voice, baby

That's what saves me

When we're together I feel so invincible

Cause it's us against the world

You and me against them all

If you listen to these words

Know that we are standing tall

I don't ever see the day that

I won't catch you when you fall

Cause it's us against the world tonight

Us against the world

Against the world

There’ll be days

We’ll be on different sides but

That doesn’t last too long

We find ways to get it on track

And know how to turn back on

Sometimes I feel

I can’t keep it together

Then you hold me close

And you make it better

When I’m with you

I can feel so unbreakable

Cause it's us against the world

You and me against them all

If you listen to these words

Know that we are standing tall

I don't ever see the day that

I won't catch you when you fall

Cause it's us against the world tonight

We’re not gonna break

Cause we both still believe

We know what we’ve got

And we’ve got what we need alright

We’re doing something right...

Cause it's us against the world

You and me against them all

If you listen to these words

Know that we are standing tall

I don't ever see the day that

I won't catch you when you fall

Cause it's us against the world tonight

Us against the world

You and me against them all

If you listen to these words

Know that we are standing tall

I don't ever see the day that

I won't catch you when you fall

Us against the world

Yeah it’s Us against the world, baby

Us against the world

Tonight

Us against the world

Against the world

Us against the world

"For Everyman," by Jackson Browne

© 1973 WB Music Corp.

Everybody I talk to is ready to leave

With the light of the morning

They've seen the end coming down long enough to believe

That they've heard their last warning

Standing alone

Each has his own ticket in his hand

And as the evening descends

I sit thinking 'bout Everyman

Seems like I've always been looking for some other place

To get it together

Where with a few of my friends I could give up the race

And maybe find something better

But all my fine dreams

Well thought out schemes to gain the motherland

Have all eventually come down to waiting for Everyman

Waiting here for Everyman--

Make it on your own if you think you can

If you see somewhere to go I understand

Waiting here for Everyman--

Don't ask me if he'll show -- baby I don't know

Make it on your own if you think you can

Somewhere later on you'll have to take a stand

Then you're going to need a hand

Everybody's just waiting to hear from the one

Who can give them the answers

And lead them back to that place in the warmth of the sun

Where sweet childhood still dances

Who'll come along

And hold out that strong and gentle father's hand?

Long ago I heard someone say something 'bout Everyman

Waiting here for Everyman--

Make it on your own if you think you can

If you see somewhere to go I understand

I'm not trying to tell you that I've seen the plan

Turn and walk away if you think I am--

But don't think too badly of one who's left holding sand

He's just another dreamer, dreaming 'bout Everyman

My absolute all time favorite. "Valerie" by Steve Winwood.

So wild, standing there, with her hands in her hair

I cant help remember just where she touched me

Theres still no face here in her place

So cool, she was like jazz on a summers day

Music, high and sweet, then she just blew away

Now she cant be that warm with the wind in her arms

Valerie, call on me-call on me, valerie

Come and see me-Im the same boy I used to be

Love songs fill the night, but they dont tell it all

Not how lovers cry out just like they're dying

Her cries hang there in time somewhere

Someday, some good wind may blow her back to me

Some night I may hear her like she used to be

No it cant be that warm with the wind in her arms

So cool, she was like jazz on a summers day

Music, high and sweet, then she just blew away

Dont tell me you're warm with the wind in your arms

One of my favorites!!

Wishing by Yahzarah

Tell me that a dream come true, cause I'm wishing on a star

Writing our names down in the notebook, like high school

My name first, your name last

You got me feeling like first love

While I work my 9 to 5, I ain't get nothing done

Steady slacking, tryna find words that describe you

Like wishing upon a star, (yeah)

Following wherever you are

Swim deep cross the deep blue sea (yeah)

Just to show the strength of my love (my love)

Like the first time making love that leaves you so shook

I slept on you now you know you got me so hooked

Telling you my business, and drinking out your glass

I got a long term crush on you, and there's no turning back (Cause I'm)

Wishing upon a star

Following wherever you are

Swim deep cross the deep blue sea

Just to show the strength of my love

You've got me picking at two's off daises talking bout "He loves me (he loves me), he loves me not (he loves me not)"

Got me singing the beginnings to happy endings, cause we gon make it

Ain't no one who can take it (yeah)

Like wishing upon a star

Following wherever you are

Swim deep cross the deep blue sea

Just to show the strength of my love

(Repeat 2 more times)

I'd walk the desert land (ooh), I'd swim the, I'd swim the ocean,

I'd climb the tallest mountain (highhh yeah, highhh yeah)

Great thread!

The lyrics to this song really make me think about life and how we all (sometimes) take things for granted. It touches me everytime I hear it. I've bolded the part that always gets to me.

Praying For Time

By George Michael

These are the days of the open hand

They will not be the last

Look around now

These are the days of the beggars

And the choosers

This is the year of the hungry man

Whose place is in the past

Hand in hand with ignorance

And legitimate excuses

The rich declare themselves poor

And most of us are not sure

If we have too much

But well take our chances

'Cuz God's stopped keeping score

I guess somewhere along the way

He must have let us all out to play

Turned His back and all Gods children

Crept out the back door

Chorus

And its hard to love,

Theres so much to hate

Hanging on to hope

When there is no hope to speak of

And the wounded skies above

Say its much too late

Well maybe we should all be

Praying for time

These are the days of the empty hand

Oh you hold on to what you can

And charity is a coat you wear

Twice a year

This is the year of the guilty man

Your television takes a stand

And you find that what was over there

Is over here

So you scream from behind your door

Say whats mine is mine and not yours

I may have too much

But Ill take my chances

'Cuz God's stopped keeping score

And you cling to the things

They sold you

Did you cover your eyes when

They told you

That He cant come back

'Cuz He has no children

To come back for

Chorus
