ATWT almost made me hate/despise Paul with the whole Johnny situation...God I was so disgusted throughout that storyline...it just broke my heart to see her suffer like that. Thank God he apologized in the end.

I don't support any character no matter what. If they're written horribly and act out of character, why should they have my support?

Because of the fact that they're written out of character......if I know a character I love is written out of character, it pisses me off and makes me root for them even harder

Yeah, but TPTB live to piss their audiences off, I can't name one soap that doesn't try to assassinate every character on its show. There's only so much abuse fans can take with these characters.

I fluxuate with the characters I support because it depends mainly on the writing for me.

Writing a character out of character won't make me turn on them if it's a character I truly love, otherwise IMO that's giving TIIC exactly what they want........

I think I'm more of a actor fan per se, not so much character. If I like the actor, I'll support the actor no matter what, just not the character if the writing's pitiful. It's a win win situation if both the actor and character are in excellent artistic shape.

My sentiments exactly. In my embittered, soapy mind, if I ever root for Carly over Robin or Jason over Lucky or Lulu over Maxie, then that's letting Guza win, which is something I refuse to do. I'll root for certain characters even when showrunners are trying to throw them under the bus just to spite them.

I dont think there is any character I will root for no matter what. There have been times when I thought I would but it all depends on the writing and situation. I once thought Id always root for AMC's Kendall, Aidan and Babe as well as GH's Liz a few years ago, but I grew to hate (or rather highly dislike) all 4 at some point during hte past 2 years. Currently GH's Sam and Lucky seem to be my characters that I will root for no matter what, but that could change on a dime.
