October 16, 200718 yr Member OMG I was laughing hysterically while watching this. Christina Applegate is a comedic genius. This is right up there with my new favorite shows this season.
October 16, 200718 yr Member best new comedy in years. this show is so funny, but it has heart and CA just lights up the screen. by far best new comedy in years, i even took heroes off my tivo for this.
October 16, 200718 yr Member FANTASTIC! I absolutely loved and it you're right, Christina Applegate was sublime in it! I will definitely be coming back for more, I can't wait to see what happens!
October 17, 200718 yr Member According to TVGuide.com, Samantha Who? debuted with 15 million viewers. Thats incredible.
October 17, 200718 yr Member To be fair, it had lead-in with 20 mio. viewers: DWTS... I really liked the pilot: this is first new comedy I'm watching since, well, Will&Grace actually and I liked a lot. Jean Smart, Christina Applegate, even the Camden dude of 7th Heaven-ill-fame was pretty good. That kissing scene of Sam & friend was hilarious as were all those poeple behaving like she were deaf when hearing Sam doesn't remember anything. LOL! Sam: Did we have a fight? Mom: I don't recall... Sam: I have amnesia - you're just lying. Edited October 17, 200718 yr by sheilaforever
October 18, 200718 yr Member I actually kinda liked it, I might watch it again. They definantly need to have more jean smart, she too good an actress to be on in snippets. I loved Kelly McCarthy from Gilmore girls, she is great as one of samantha's sidekicks.
October 18, 200718 yr Member According to TVGuide.com, Samantha Who? debuted with 15 million viewers. Thats incredible. Yay!!!! I watched this show the other night and thought it was freakin' hilarious! So glad that a lot of viewers tuned into it.
October 18, 200718 yr Member I love Christina Applegate and she really has matured into quite an actress. I thought this was going to be a flop like Emily's Reasons to Why Not... but it was so much better! The writing was funny, it has a nice little mystery element to it, and a very talented cast. Love Jean Smart as her nutty mom. Edited October 18, 200718 yr by Matt P.
October 18, 200718 yr Member Yes, I LOVED this show. About time ABC puts a comedy on that's enjoyable to watch and doesn't have some silly plot like Caveman or Carpoolers or any of the other ones they tried to dish out in the past 2 years or so. (Though Big Day and Notes from the Underbelly were good shows.) Christina Applegate was excellent in it, and I loved seeing Barry Watson too. (Makes me think of What About Brian, lol. ) I loved the scene when she was at the AA meeting & the little dress (oh my god, do i have a little girl?). I'm so glad it did well.
October 23, 200718 yr Member Well, last night proved that this show is not a fluke. Its hysterical. Christina deserves an Emmy. I loved when she realized how much credit card debt she was in, and started to cry about having to work and pay her bills.
October 24, 200718 yr Member Samantha Who? pulled in another 14.5 million viewers Monday night, with only a drop of 550k viewers, according to TVguide.com Awesome news!
October 24, 200718 yr Member This is by far one of the best comedys in the past 20 years (Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, Sex & The City being a few standouts as well). CA is amazing. I am sl glad i tuned in and soooo happy that its doing well.
October 25, 200718 yr Member TVguide.com is reporting that ABC has ordered an additional six episodes. YAY!
