Nielsen doesn't hold back releasing ratings because they're bad. They're probably just late with the calculations and percentages because of the holiday. But whether they're good or bad, Nielsen always releases them when they're ready to go.

Nielsen has had many problems during the first couple of weeks of the new TV season. National prime time ratings that used to come out in the morning are more often than not delayed to afternoon. Probably a big portion is that DVR homes jumped from almost 9% last year to 20%. Prime time averages are down significantly in LIVE + 1 day and they still haven't released Live + 7 day, which is the new standard, for the first week. This has nothing to do with ratings being bad, etc. The funny thing about daytime is that the ratings rarely shift significantly week to week. It's probably better to look at a show's performance month-to-month or quarter-to-quarter. Chill folks.

The ABC press release lists the first 6 shows in the 18-49 demo:

1 Y&R 1.7....................1,140,000

2 GH 1.6......................1,050,000

3 OLTL 1.5.....................970,000

4 The View 1.3...............885,000

4. B&B 1.3.....................854,000

4. AMC 1.3.....................847,000

(the last 3 are listed in order of total 18-49 viewers...they tied in rating, but they vary in viewer totals).

Based on this data, DAYS has to be at least at their record low of 1.2 in this demo last week, maybe lower.
