Not a bit surprised. She's probably not allowed to leave China anymore.

She has also apparently claimed that everything was a misunderstanding, and that the reason she disappeared from view for a while was computer problems.....

I saw that.  You could tell by the way she was acting the last time (well, the last time I saw) her on Twitter.  Someone posted an 'interview', but it was someone just trying to talk to her really.  Chris Evert tweeted it out and said, this is not OK or something.  But in the video someone asked her about where she's been, and at first she said 'can we go inside?' Like she wanted to say something. Then she looked sideways like someone was watching her (because I'm sure they were)...and then, the person who asked the question was standing right there...she said "I can't hear you, I'm sorry?"  It was so obvious that she's been yanked back/put in her place.  Did she appear at the Olympics?  I thought for sure, maybe I missed it, but it would be very much like them to trot her out for a lot of parade opportunities to show how happy she is.

I watched it. Lots of former players were there. My favorite Gabriella Sabitini was there. Nice to see her again. The atmosphere was a typical DelPo match. A full house crowd with no empty seats. I started tearing up when he started crying before the last game played.

It was difficult to watch at times and I only managed to get the match at the beginning of the second set.

Still, there's a poignance to ending his professional career in Argentina, if that was his final match.

Ugh.  Well not much solace but at least the loss was to someone from Argentina.  There's a part of me that still wants him to somehow stay in it and return.  I would love to see him advance a couple of matches at a Slam.  He would get a ton of support.

It might not be his last match.

I'd rather see him return instead of Andy Murray. How long has he been back and just looks foolish to me.

I know that he mentioned another tournament...Rio, was it? So it's a possibility that he could play that but his body language looked so definitively done in that Delbonis match that I am not sure.

Tennis is the pits right now. Thank gawd Nadal won the first major.

We have the Greek God, hate the name, losing with a new coach in toe. You know Thomas Enqvist will be blamed for the loss. I really didn't care who won anyways but Enqvist deserves bettrr.

Dallas Open...nice to have a tournament in Texas but damn it's full of serve bots and who wins? FF to Brett Haber going on and on about how great American male tennis is and how Opelka is more than a serve bot and they have the nerve to show some meaningless stats. Can't believe they are still trying to sell this garbage.

On the clay we have Diego vs Casper...Mr. 250 Casper wins another clay court tourney.... Yawn...

But wait Brett Haber and Co. are saying how great he is and how great Rudd is on hard courts. Really?

Where's the receipts? It pisses me off that they pimp this guy when Thiem started almost the same way but refer to him only as a clay specialist. That he couldn't play on hard court.

Yeah I agree with what Fabio Fogini said...tennis looks bleak with serve bots in existence.

Thiem where or where are you??

    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton practically twirling his moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?

    • Thanks for asking that!  Back when we had another major event upcoming (a party or the concert), I had intended to ask what everyone here was planning to wear.

    • Lol. Right?  I mean the show could have framed the 60th anniversary in a different way, but the narrative was celebrating Tom and the hospital. Also, what a weirdly sexist bunch of posts about women's nail polish.  Like, yes, this is Days problem lol.  Stacy Haiduk isn't a good Kristen because she doesn't wear nail polish?  Are we in the 1950's???
