Stan Wawrinka: the 2014 Open champion also hasn’t been sighted in six months as he battles a knee injury that will restrict his build-up to next week’s one- night Tie Break Tens.

I had to laugh at this one. It's like Unsolved Mysteries...where is he? He is still probably pouting about Magnus Norman leaving him as his coach.

I am still looking forward to it. I am sure the courts will be fast again to favor Federer but I am hoping he doesn't win either. I am sick of him and wish he'd retire.

Ditto.

Just saw from Ben Rothenberg that Thomaz Bellucci was serving a five-month ban (ending this month) after testing positive for a substance, but was seen to be not at fault due to a tainted supplement.

Sportsmanship of the year...possible decade:

I actually saw it live. It was a scary moment. Grigor sure is a true gentleman.

Really pleased for Gael and how he's starting his season.  I hope builds on this success.

Nick Kyrgios wins in Brisbane.

Could he be the one to end the wait and do what Pat Cash, Lleyton Hewitt and Pat Rafter couldn't, give the Australian audience a home win for the first time since Mark Edmondson in 1976?

If he can keep his cool and not get frustrated maybe he can.

Someone has put $40,000.00 at $21.00 for him to win it.

He's got to be motivated too.

So far it looks like only Murray and Kei will be out of this year's Aussie Open.  The tennis community is still wondering how Novak can come back and play without any warm up tournaments played. I have a feeling Novak will either lose early or withdraw from the tournament some time next week.

Yeah, congratulations to Nick for winning in Brisbane. TBH, he looked pretty darn happy to win a title in his home country.

As for Novak, there's this.

The draw is out!

Novak, Sasha, Thiem, Delpo and Stan on Roger's half of the draw.

Grigor on Nadal's side of the draw.

Looming is a 2nd round match between Novak vs Gael
