This story continues to grow more bizarre. If he saw his doctor and acted in a sane demanor, perhaps he was in control of his facilities. He may have simply been keeping up appearances. If he was coherent enough to visit a doctor without offering any hints of distress, he is a dleiberate killer. Not even his wrestling talents is enough currency to repair his legacy.

Although, a small part of me is hoping that he may have had a brain tumor. Or that there's another party out there who killed all of them and this is a huge set up. But those conspiracy theories are just grasping at straws. I'm 99% convinced he knew what he was doing and that's truly f--ked up.

But so few professions are dependent on that buffed up look outside of wrestling and gay porn (and they have an even worse survival record)

This stuff appeals to kids too. Think of everyone who is drawn to it

at such a young age. Kids see these guys as heroes. That makes 'roids acceptable.

um, there is still no proof he was hopped up on roids. His last WWE test showed him clean, and the toxicology reports will not be back from his autopsy.

Wrestling is not the only sport requiring people to be big. And he was naturally the size he was when he was last tested in April. You can get that big through exercise and weight lifting alone. It's up to parents to teach their children that steroids are not acceptible, it's not up to television to be the only voice. It's the old television is not a babysitter debate.

The people saying this doesn't make sense are ot grasping at straws. I'm not even a wrestling fan, and I'm certainly no WWE fan, I do happen to know someone through work who was on their tour as a low level wrestler and who did personally know Benoit through that, and I'll take his word that this is out of character for him than the word of the media. The media and police are grasping at straws to make this theory that Benoit killed them all stick. They've still not answered how the wife died friday, he was out of town from late friday to early saturday, and came back and the son was supposidly alive during the whole time before it killed the son and then himself. The fact he was out of the state is something the mainstream media is not even touching. Why??

Come on. Please. I'm not a follower of wrestling but even I know Hulk Hogan admitted to using them and said it was rampant in that particular indusrty. All you have to do is look.

It's up to parents to do a lot of things but that doesn't mean we can't ask for some kind of inquiry into an industry that obviously uses illegal drugs, a pseudo sport that's aimed at young males.

How much proof do you need?

Of course, you are absolutely right. But wouldn't you prefer to believe he was perverted by drugs and hormone supplements than think he is a complete monster? At this point I'm thinking Jim McMahon would rather have us believe this man Benoit is an aberrration, a nutcase. I think it's the drugs and steroids. Without them this might not have happened.

Except those are completely different professions in which the people involved know what they're doing and know the risks associated withe job. Besides that I've never heard of a person working in construction killing their family because of construction. And the same goes for stunt men.

I was speaking for myself with the grasping at straws comment. For the most part, I am convinced that Benoit perpetrated this vicious attack.

I am a wrestling fan. I have admired and respected Benoit for many years. So, my mind wanders to the thoughts as to whst could have triggered violent outburst from a man who had no history. But now it's being reported that Nacny had to take out a restraining order. So, this wouldn't have been his first act of aggression. Moreover, I doubt the murders were induced by rage. I vacillitate because it took deliberate thought to bound his wife, turn the woman on her stomach, press his knee into her back and then strangle her. If you're in a rage, you're not going to take the time to do all that. And then he walked around the house with dead bodies and placed bibles beside each. On some level, he had to know what he had done and wasn't acting out of blind fury.

Maybe there is a killer out there. But it's more likely than not that Benoit was not the ideal gentleman he was portrayed to be. He either snapped or hid his issues well.

I would be thrilled if Benoit was exonerated. But as each day passes, it doesn't seem plausible. And my idolization for him is gone.

On another point, Bill O' Reilly is such an !@#$%^&*]. He just blamed Nancy and Jessie Marie Davis' for their deaths because they didn't leave their spouses/lovers. All of this proceeded a precusor that the "liberal" factions jump on anyone who rushes to judgment. What a prick. Women don't ask, invite or have brutality coming.

Wrestler and Wife Argued Over Child Care

Wrestler and Wife Argued Over Care of Retarded 7-Year-Old Son

ATLANTA (AP) -- In the days before pro wrestler Chris Benoit killed his wife and child and hanged himself, the couple argued over whether he should stay home more to take care of their mentally retarded 7-year-old son, an attorney for the wrestling league said Wednesday.

"I think it's fair to say that the subject of caring for that child was part of what made their relationship complicated and difficult, and it's something they were both constantly struggling with," said Jerry McDevitt, an attorney for World Wrestling Entertainment. "We do know it was a source of stress and consternation."

McDevitt said the wrestling organization learned from the couple's friends and relatives that the Benoits were struggling with where to send the boy to school since he had recently finished kindergarten.

He also said Benoit's wife didn't want him to quit wrestling, but she "wanted him to be at home more to care for the kid. She'd say she can't take care of him by herself when he was on the road."

The child suffered from a rare medical condition called Fragile X Syndrome, an inherited form of mental retardation often accompanied by autism, McDevitt said.

Over the past weekend, authorities said, Benoit strangled his wife, suffocated his son and placed a Bible next to their bodies before hanging himself with a weight-machine cable in the couple's suburban home. No motive was offered for the killings, which were discovered Monday.

McDevitt said WWE has learned from friends that the Benoits were struggling to agree on where the boy should go to school. Nancy also wanted Chris to be home more often to help with the caring of their son, but stopped short of wanting him to quit wrestling.

For those who don't know what Fragile X is, here is what Wikipedia says regarding it:

Fragile X Syndrome is a syndrome of X-linked mental retardation. Boys with the syndrome may have large testes (macroorchidism), prognathism, hypotonia and autism, and a characteristic but variable face with large ears, long face, high-arched palate, and malocclusion. Additional abnormalities may include lordosis, heart defect, pectus excavatum, flat feet, shortening of the tubular bones of the hands, and joint laxity. Females who have one fragile chromosome and one normal X chromosome may range from normal to mild manifestations of the fragile X syndrome. The fragile X syndrome has an estimated incidence of 1 in 3600 males and 1 in 4,000-6,000 females.

With all due respect, I don't see why that would mean a lot considering that I just copied and pasted it from a website. I'm not being bitter, but I am reading you right now TC, you know what I'm talking about and I will leave it at that.

Enjoy your night. :)

I really don't know what you mean. Both me and my partner are healthcare professionals. I am not a physician but my partner is. I'm sorry if I've offended you. I thought everyone knew you are a doctor.
