This just in...

Earlier today, I reported on Adrianne Leon's sad revelation that she was abruptly fired from her role as Colleen Carlton on The Young and the Restless.

Well, the CBS sudser has just issued a recast announcement!

Australian actress Tammin Sursok is the new Colleen. Sursok's first tape date is Tuesday, June 26. She will first air on Monday, July 30.

The 23-year-old Sursok is best known as Dani Sutherland on the long-running Aussie soap Home and Away. She won Australian TV Week's Logie Award for best new female talent in 2001.

The Y&R folks seem fond of casting Aussie suds stars these days. FYI, Daniel Goddard (Cane) is also a former Home and Away castmember.

I'll tune into Y&R to see her. She's pretty hot and I like her music. LOL

I watched her as Dani Sutherland on Home and Away. She's a great actress. And by the end of her run on the show, she was apparently one of Home and Away's biggest or most popular stars. Rebecca Cartwright (seen in the above clip, and currently married to some professional tennis player) was another big star for the show during that early to mid 2000s era for the show.

I dont doubt she'll make a good Colleen. Whole thing is strange though.

this is so upsetting! I thought Adrianne was a great Colleen, I will give this new girl a shot and maybe she will surprise me, Im not happy about this at all.

I hate AL's work but if they were to fire her, I'd fire her for bland acting and rabid lycanthropy, not weight. That's tacky.

OTOH the Home & Away pornface girl might not be too bad. IIRC, Home & Away bore us actors like Naomi Watts and...and...a few other good ones I can't recall offhand.
