Not of a fan of the show, but it does still perform decently..so its a good idea that NBC is keeping it...I also heard a rumor that NBC might keep Crossing Jordan, i hope that isn't true..NBC really needs to retire that show..and I'd say end one of the Law and Order shows thats on the bubble....It was fresh development like Heroes that breathed life into NBC this year, hopefully the same can happen next year..

I would definittely be a smart move considering Heroes has so far not helped any other series which was placed after it...

...and "Medium" has better rating than most of NBC's other shows and is the same genre.

On the other, in its 4th season you can't groom a series a hit. So NBC ought to find new successfull series overall.

I still hope Crossing Jourdan is also renewed - I like that series a lot as well, although it's tiresome that between seasons often all recurring characters are ditched and replaced by new ones...

Likely, the ratings are really bad this year. And CBS - who also produces MEDIUM - only wanted the show to have a longer run so they could easier sell it into syndication.

Or maybe this is just behind the scenes drama. Glenn Gordon Caron show are always drama central - with him playing a heavy part in apparently.

I think the adult cast of Medium is pretty strong -- Jake Weber and Patricia Arquette are one of the most believable couples on TV in years. I thought the boss did a great job with stories like going blind, and the sidekick cop character - I suck with names, clearly - was believable and a throwback to the days before cop shows became quite as plastic. The kids are annoying and I think they got too much airtime over the years. I think some of the episodes were very good and genuinely disturbing, like the one where she kept imagining her teenage son dying (it was actually the baby she had miscarried early in her relationship with her husband). Really I think the show ran its course (the last one actually had Mr. Bill, ugh) and I just hope they can wrap it up properly.

I have three of the five seasons on DVD. It's very Film Noir meets television. And the humor and comedic timing were awesome.

Bruce and Cybil have incredible chemistry with each other and I have such a huge crush on Bruce, especially 80's Bruce that was beefy, non-roided, and hairy.

    • He joined Julian in Bermuda when he getting a divorce from Ivy. And, was the one who tricked Theresa and Julian in to believing that they had gotten married there. That would be nice.  That was such a good book, and it was too bad that the show retconned it so much. I still have my copy somewhere.
    • Instead of Febreze, Eva pulled a few tissues of Puffs and cried into them. Hayley comes in with a pack of Always and is like "Well, Bill turns out I'm not pregnant." Andre and Derek sharing a bottle of Pepto after eating Ashley's cooking. Vernon and Anita drinking up their Metamucil.
    •   I liked the actress who played Tina. She was not the typical soap hire. I hadn't thought of her in many years until I saw a Spauldingfield video of her. It makes sense if they were planning to make her Frank's daughter as she was tied to the Coopers and nothing else was done with her beyond singing and the relationship with Marcus that Rauch never cared about. David was hurt by Monti Sharp leaving the role. I don't blame Monti for leaving, as he was getting less and less to do, but Russell Curry was a very generic actor was too old for the part. Yes, black don't crack, but he was nearly 40. When David returns at the end of the decade they cast an actor who was a little too young, which just shows how little interest the show had in the character or black characters in general (and random recasting would return with the Boudreauxs). Marcus is a character who got a lot of buzz early on and then the show lost interest (again).  Anyway, if you stay watching, be warned that the Hart/Dinah/Roger stuff gets worse and worse. Luckily you don't have the same lengthy ties to the show so it may be OK for you. It made me feel a bit sick at the time.

    • I just find her obnoxious and I need somebody to start checking her (other than Bill) without couching it in you’re so strong and wonderful and Bill did you so wrong. Even Anita pulls punches with her. Her personality would definitely rub some people the wrong way and I hope once the canvas evolves beyond Dupreeland, she gets some adversaries who aren’t villains or 90-lb. weaklings like Haley.
    • Wow.... Anita and Dani are the ultimate symbol of mean girls.   I hate to tell this to Dani... but Eva's ability to do hair is a much more coveted job and skill than Dani's modeling.   I doubt Dani could cut it if she lost her money and was truly forced to start over from square 1.
    • -- That scene was a mess because of Sheila. Why would Bill go To that pizza dump? And why would he tolerate Sheila sitting at his table for even 5 seconds? -- Also a mess? Liam's dialogue. Telling $Bill how much he admires and respects him was hilarious! Then it went on! "Your presence, your guidance and influence...you made me a man. You made me THIS man." Jesus.
    • Not FOOTBALLERS' WIVES!!!! TASTE, DARLING. LOVE IT. Cool!!!
    • I can't help but think that this was a Ron/Jamey plot, that Paula/Jeanne just decided to run with.  Hopefully, it'll be written better than what we've had to endure previously. Roman runs it, and she helps. Interesting. I felt a similar way every time Ben called Charlie, 'Chuck'
