Members Darn
How is she racist? And racist against who? FYI, she's biracial.
Members alwaysAMC
Maybe 'racist' was too harsh - but she really has some issues and she seems bitter about certain things. While I think it's great she's all about getting more blacks in daytime and empowering the black community as a whole -- the way she talks about it is very sanctimonious, condescending, self-promoting, and annoying. Members Darn
Okay, that's understandable. But that happens a lot, when you talk up your race people perceive it as putting down others and that's not always the case.
Members Queen_Nubia
I disagree. I think she address the often ignored issue with direct and honest candor. I think she carries herself in a very confident and self-assured manner which garners her “bitch” label. But, I applaud her having the balls to speak her mind, rather than giving the generic “everything is peaches and cream” responses. But, she seems like the upward and onward type. I wish her success in her future endeavors.
Members sheilaforever
LMAO - This one line was the best thing on Y&R for the last three weeks. Dru said that a lot and it was always so fabulous. Dru to Sharon: "Phyllis! Ugh! She's so SCAAAANDA-LOUS!" The real reason she left Y&R is not the pre-nom (well yeah, I also think it definitely played a role though): She wanted more power, like a writing input on the show. Judging from her previous SOW interview she was also not too pleased with the direction of Y&R and her character in general. She made a pretty open comment how much she'd like to bring Dru to B&B (think Eileen Davidson)...

Members Foucault
Love this woman. And now with no African American actress (let alone a strong one who's intuned with her roots) to replace her, the Winters are kuputz! VR jumped off a sinking ship, and I'm proud of her for doing so. Let's face it. The show isn't the same anymore, and neither are the Winters. Next.

Members crc
Exactly! Some people really just don't get it and need to take a nice cool glass of 'Hater-ade'! It's kind of funny, actually, and quite telling how some people can get all bent out of shape over her candor and speaking the TRUTH! But whatev! I think Victoria Rowell is the most dynamic actress in daytime! PERIOD! A prize jewel that one, and daytime and Y&R specifically will be less rich without her. Members Y&RWorldTurner
I'm going miss her and this is definitely a loss on Y&R's part. At the same time, who the heck does she think she is for demanding to be apart of the Y&R writing staff? Cooper, Braden, Bergman, and Scott don't even ask for that and they've been there longer than she has. I know TPTB weren't going to tolerate an actor having overwhelming say in the direction of the writing, because that would be bias and a seen as a total conflict of interest. While I do agree that actors should have *some* with the direction of their character and storyline, they sure as hell don't deserve to dictate it. I just think if she left mainly over this matter, than it's really sad, since actors with more seniority on the show don't even ask for that.
