Both Bryton and Jennifer are good actors. This wasn't like a Natalia Livingston situation. LOL

From what I read on the Gold Derby Emmy forum, Van didn't submit his strongest tapes so I didn't expect him to win. Bryton had a great year with his mother returning, Davetta's Lily and going deaf. Plus he submitting two great tapes that showed range. He's an amazing actor who has been rocking it since being on Family Matters. He deserves better than Y&R gives him.

Was happy to see Jennifer Landon win although I do think they feature her WAY too much now. I've always felt Julie Berman was overrated.

ITA.

Young Actor was tight this year cause everyone nominated (even James Hyde) is the cream of the crop.

Younger Actress not so much.

That's all it came down to, I think. Van just didn't submit the right tapes. I think the two perfect tapes for him would have been Luke pushing Lily down the stairs and that episode where Luke and Lucinda coffee klatch-ed it up at Lucinda's house.

Congrats To Jennifer Landon, but I think Julie Berman(Lulu, GH) was robbed. I really didn't care who won best younger actor. I forgot all about the Emmys actually, but wasn't really aiming to watch em.

Congrats Jennifer Landon! She's a very natural actress, I like her a lot (but hate the 'Cleo' story sooo much right now). I was stunned by Bryton's win, but I do like him a lot too. Was rooting for Van Hansis, though. :(

Jen Landon was acting kind of Cleo-esque up there today. I'm getting worried that she may really be absorbing too much of the character into her daily life, as she mentioned in an interview.

Congrats to her and to Bryton McClure (although I was hoping that Van Hansis would win).
