From SOD: This week, Michael, Laurenm Paul and Nicholas frantically search for Sheila, who's taken her look-alike, Phyllis, as well as babies Fen and Summer, hostage. "Lauren's in terror," shudders Tracey Bregman. "It's reliving history and living with the absolute trauma of having a child kinapped. This is the second time, with another child, and thius is what she's been afraid of the entire pregnancy and since Fen has been born. Her biggest nightmare has come true." Sheila takes her captives to a retirement community and taunts Paul via walkie-talkie. She then asks to speak with Lauren, as well. "Michael tells Lauren they have had contact with Sheila and she wants to talk to Lauren and Paul in five minutes," explains TB. "Lauren is saying, 'Let's go! Let's go!' She doesn't understand why Michael's not moving and he says, 'No, we'll never make it," And then Lauren says, 'Wait a minute, When you were talking to Paul on the cell phone, didn;t you tell me you could hear Sheila talking on walkie-talkie?' So Lauren suggests that they call Paul and have him put the phone up to the talkie so it sounds like Lauren is there with him. She hears Fenmore crying and then hears Sheila call the baby 'Scotty'. Michael has Kevin record the conversation so they can listen for background noises that might lead them to Sheila's location. But when Paul and Michael go after her, they find a note from Sheila saying she fooled them. "She just surprises him with how quickly she acts and how resourceful she is," notes Doug Davidson. Meanwhile, Lauren also tries to suss out her rival. "Nick tells Lauren where Sheila could be, which is close by, so she gets there before anybody," reveals TB. Once at the apartment complex, "Lauren listens at all these apartment doors and hears the babies crying." She then prepares to face her foe. "There's a way that Lauren gets in and she catches everyone by surprise," teases TB. "She takes matters into her own hands." From SOW: Y&R's LAUREN & SHEILA: THE BIG BANG Sheila's plan to run off with Fen and Summer is shot to hell this week on Y&R, when Lauren hunts her down. "Sheila gives Paul a clue as to where she is," sets up Tracey Bregman. "Lauren is afraid for her safety, so Paul gives her a gun. She was married to him once, and he probably taught her how to shoot. She takes it knowing she can use it." What Michael, Nick and Paul don't realize is that Sheila has sent them on a wild goose chase. Nick finally figures it out and calls Lauren. "he says, 'We found her. She's down the street from you.' ' says TB. "So Lauren gets there first. No one thinks she's going to go, but she does. She's not going to let what happened to Scotty happen to Fen. She will do *everything* in her power to get that baby back." Including shoot Sheila. But there's a problem: When Lauren comes face-to-face with Sheila and Phyllis, how will she tell who's who? "She has to make a split-second decision," shudders TB.
