I would also tell Jamie Lee Curtis to eat her heart out. With some of the comments she's made in the past about Halloween, and the fact that she only did H20 because her career was in the toilet at the time, and she needed a hit, I'm glad that someone at Dimension had the good sense to finally end that other timeline and start fresh.

I hate these arrogant actors and actresses who, after becoming famous, decide that the film or t.v. show that made them that way is beaneath them.I hope I never hear from JLC again. She was one of my favorites, but now she makes me sick.

Sorry about the rant. We now return you to your regularly scheduled horror thread, already in progress.........

There was an interview she did whilemaking H20, that was cut out. You may can find the audio of it, but she said, when asked about coming back for another Halloween, that she wouldn't do it for any amount of money. That just really struck me as very arrogant. It kinda pissed me off, seeing as we only knew her as Janet Leigh's and Tony Curtis's daughter, and one of the stars Operation Petticoat when her career started.

Halloween gave her her start, and for me, even if she did fel like that, if you heard her tone, it sounded like the series was beneath her. What i did enjoy is Danielle Harris wanted to come back and do H6, even though it was basically a cameo, and turned it down because the asswipe execs didn't want to pay her some good money (On top of the fact that she didn't like how her caharcter was killed off).

I don't know, Shawn. I guess I'm just huge on actors we have never heard before making it big, and then still being grateful for the opprotunity that many people don't get, but instead act like the project that putthem on the map was a burden to them.

I had to opportunity to see the original in theatres this past Halloween when they had a limited run screening here in NYC. It was such a surreal experience. It was great seeing people scared out of their minds from GENUINE scares. Not cheap "GOTCHA" moments that are so prevalent in today's horror movies.

Now, imagine seeing it when it first premiered? Dude, there were grown men with their hands over their eyes! The funniest stuf you would have ever seen. Seeing it in the theater is the best, especially with surround sound.

    • Joel Crothers has finally appeared in this batch of episodes. I first saw him this week on Dark Shadows and that must have summoned him on Edge of Night. Miles and Nicole are back in the swing of things although they have not had much to do.  I still don't like Draper although April is a bit of a loon at the moment with wanting to adopt Raven and Logan's baby. She also slapped Draper and there was no mention of it  later on unless there will be. Ann Williams is such a good actress that I'm on Margo's side even when I should not be. Eliot is such a creep but he's an enjoyable one.  Cliff is such a pest to Deborah although I do like the actor. He's actually attractive so I wish they would stop writing him as such an HR nightmare. I know I shouldn't, but I like the scenes with Cliff and Deborah. They have more chemistry than Deborah and Owen. The actor playing Owen is fine, but he does not have anything with Frances Fisher. Fisher is another great presence on the show. The movie has not gotten far yet. Paige and Brian have been absent for a while. Margo has now been drawn into the movie plot and Nola is more concerned with exposing Owen and Deborah.  Farley Granger has been MIA but I'm assuming he returns.  Logan and Geraldine had a fantastic scene about what to do about the baby. Lois Kibbee is such a treasure. Still enjoying the show.
    • Understand.  But actually Patti should have been a generation older than Liza. Patti and Janet Bergman (Liza's mother) had been contemporaries a decade earlier.  So when they cast Jacqueline Schultz as Patti, most long-term fans felt it did not ring true.   Sometimes de-aging a character by a few years is successful on soap operas.  But to de-age a character by an entire generation was silly and stretched believability a bit too far.
    • Thanks. I'm glad they didn't give her a love interest at that time as it would have felt false after Ryder's horrible death.  I can definitely see how Patti would have replaced Liza. Still not sure why they decided to kill off Suzi.

    • @Paul Raven thank you. I knew you would have the skinny on sets. So probably more to come.

As for recast Ted, I saw him briefly because it's been a busy day, but what little I saw of him...I didn't dislike him as much as I thought I would. Keith felt like Maurice's Ted in a lot of mannerisms and way he had with some things/words. Definitely a different presence from Maurice's Ted, but I still feel like Keith WAS Ted. If that makes sense. Maruice's Ted definitely had a different charisma to him. From the brief scene I saw.   Will probably watch later when I get more time. Sounds like it was a great episode from the parts I've glanced on here earlier.  Speak on it.
    • WOW! So that episode was a repeat, it shows how strong Murder, She Wrote was!!
    • Awesome Yep, you can hook up a VHS player to a smart TV. Alternatively, Amazon sells some VHS to Digital converters that you can use to directly connect the VCR's AV cables  to a USB on a laptop or PC. They cost about 20 bucks. Any questions or need help, DM me!
    • -- "The role of Ted Richardson is now being played by...." I love that throwback to soaps from yesteryear. I know we don't want BTG to be our grandmother's soap, but sometimes Grandma's soaps had it right. -- I was FULLY prepared to dislike Keith D. Robinson as Ted, and I even went through things in my mind that I could say because I was fine with Maurice Johnson and felt bad for him.     However, Robinson was awfully good, especially for Day 1. He's a different Ted, but he's a good actor -- natural and real. People saying Gates "should have gone older" are head-scratchers since Robinson is older than Johnson. -- I expected Bill to be tougher than he was with Dana, THE worst mother of the year on soaps. -- Kat went toe-to-toe in those scenes with Dana. We're all in love with Ambyr/Eva, but Colby/Kat is also killing it. -- Derek and Ashley? I'm turning on Ashley, who can't even pretend to like Derek, let alone love him. Her annoyance with him is overboard, and I'm also annoyed with the show portraying Derek as a Neanderthal -- to the point of putting "Neanderthal" in his dialogue. Every single thing he does annoys Ashley, which makes me wonder what she ever saw in him. I want him away from her. -- Seeing Derek and Ashley in that bed was hilarious. It looks like a single, not something for two grown adults. -- Ashley and Andre are still a no for me -- a big no. I see no reason why he'd be infatuated with her. None. At least Andre got a smile from her, which she didn't have for Derek, even when he wanted them to get a bigger place. Derek, please dodge the bullet.
    •   I LOVED Hennig’s Stephanie. AK is Stephanie in name only. Stephanie was never boring to me.
    • July 2012, Abe organized a gala that was an autism fundraiser in Lexie's honor.  This was the huge event everyone was attending (except Gabi and Melanie in the tunnels).. -- when the gas explosion occurred and the building collapsed.  The "Daysaster" cliffhanger before the Olympics break.
