pp_greet_096.gif.....Getting this up and running sooner than later...

Well, let's see what we have to look forward to for Monday-Friday, shall we

More and more of the Victor/Brad stuff to be seen regarding the reliquary (Hmmm... I would say hit the snooze button on this, however, since Victor is in this, I'm a bit curious).....More sobbing from the 1796.gif Colleen about her professor and her dull detective dude, J.T......Paul does some lip locking with someone (YAWN....because we know where this is going, now don't we?).....Jack cooks up another scheme to get what he wants from Phyllis (0894.gif but I think somewhere down the line, they are going to have Phyllis more in Jack's orbit than Sharon).....Dru will begin to FLIP OUT.....Some stuff with GloHo (Ms. Bug-Eyes is back in full form it seems).....Someone puts a trace on Paul....and FINALLY....the face-to-face drama between Lauren and Phelia is HERE....

As always...Let's discuss the GOOD, the BAD, and the downright UGLY about the coming week of Y&R ;)

I think Eric Braeden has a clause in his contract that every few month the viewer has to be reminded that Victor has the biggest and best penis in town.

It's been a while since Victor beat up those armed robbers, now he's gotta fight some Nazis. Thus proving that Victor Newman alone, like the U.S. and Britain before him, is his own Superpower.

I hate David Chow! This is such a sorry excuse for a copy of David Hayward. It's not working, LML! Sad...

Jana is annoying, but I don't have a problem with her anymore. I've gotten used to her just popping up anytime someone mentions death in the coffee house.

Love Dru, but can she bring any more attention in her direction? It was bad enough that David Chow got on his little soapbox about Carmen, talking so loud anyone outside the coffee house could have heard; blabbering on about how she loved kids (don't see how she could have found time for kids when she was always sniffing around Neil ).

Then we have J.T. blaming Lily for what happened between he and Colleen...Sorry but Lily was right; the only person that he should be confronting is Colleen (which he did, and Adrian, which he also did).

I still think it's Adrian that might be listening in on the conversations in the Carlton house.

I've been loving Y&R lately!

I don't think the two characters are anything alike. For one, Chow seems much nicer, not nearly the devious mastermind Hayward was. Right now he is searching for answers after the love of his life is brutally murdered. I love me some Dru, but he's well within his rights. I'm convinced he's a red herring as the stalker or Carmen's killer.

How JT and Colleen reached their break up was irritating, but I'm enjoying the fallout and both actors are doing a great job. I didn't expect this out of Thad in particular.

Dru's hair is FABULOUS and she and Sharon are too cute. I just can't stand these two in scenes together, they are *so* fabulous.

I think David Chow has a lot of potential and I agree he's a red herring. I bet the stalker is the real killer trying to throw the police off track.

I cannot stand Janna. I really hope she manages to find a clue and the killer takes her out.

Loving the Colleen/Victoria scenes. I liked how comfortable Colleen felt with Victoria and how much of a good stepmother she was to Colleen. Who would have thought they'd get to this place a year ago

Victoria Rowell's hair is really long straightened out. She looked gorgeous

Dru and Sharon rock as best friends. I never would have expected this but they support each other so well. I love how they are there for each other and I love that they genuinly care about each other.

Amber is on way too much

Are they trying to make this Cain into the real Philip? Um isnt he too young?

    • Eeek. I didn't know this either! I will say, though, even though they skimmed over a lot of Roger's past, I will give them props for not trying to turn him into a hero. Yeah, I was hoping we would get more 1986 episodes than were available on YT before, but now I'm wondering if I really want to see that.
    • That's what Julie Hanan Carruthers is doing for BTG at the new studio in Atlanta, but JHC is credited. And @errol said JHC is working in a nonproduction capacity at Y&R.
    • I remember when the whole Missy Reeves controversy started in 2012.  She tweeted support of a business that had made homophobic statements. Greg Rikaart (who was on Y&R back then) publicly called her out on it, but was willing to reach out and speak with her. Article here: https://greginhollywood.com/greg-rikaart-talks-about-his-twitter-war-with-fellow-soap-star-melissa-reeves-over-anti-gay-chick-fil-a-73139 That being said, ten years later, on DAYS, in 2022, when they had they double wedding of Leo/CraigWesley and Gwen/Xander, Jack and Jennifer came to the wedding.  At that time, Missy Reeves was only intermittently available for DAYS. Jennifer was living "in Boston" and Cady McClain and Missy were each intermittently appearing as Jennifer, on the specific occasions when the show required a Jennifer to appear. Missy wasn't on contract and she could have said no. But she chose to appear as Jennifer for the gay wedding of Greg Rikaart's character.   So... I mean... I would assume they reached a détente behind-the-scenes. Missy still has her belief system but there's that.
    • That was one of the best grandslam finals.  Alcaraz comes all the way back down 2 sets to 0, and three match points in the 3rd set, to win it in a 5th set tie-break.  And the quality of play was excellent - so many great shots.  What a battle!
    • Indeed. I may try to watch it in full sometime, but not anytime soon... Mark played Sean Baxter for a few episodes when Courtney married Andy. Burke was either on Broadway or at OLTL at that time, I suppose.
    • Well, Josh was a horndog. LOL Yep. It was one of the first really weird things Reva did with her PPD. She became obsessed with the idea that Dylan and Sam should get married. Sam was only 17, and needed her parent's permission. Reva helped them leave town so they could go to a neighboring state where Sam was old enough. Ross, Billy and Josh stopped them, then Sam went to India to try and persaude Justin. Reva followed her and didn't tell Josh she was going. While Reva was gone, Josh advertised for nannies, and Harley applied. He ended up hiring someone else. But when Reva returned, she hired Harley because (in her weird mental state) she wanted someone she could trust with the kids (because she feared Josh was trying to get rid of her and that Vanessa wanted the children.). After Reva starts treatment, she asks Harley to stay until she's stronger because she's good with the kids. At the party, Reva starts going off the rails, insulting Justin and Josh hauls her to a private dining room to ask WTF. Reva starts confronting him about the "affair" with Vanessa, and he realizes she is weird. He locks her in the dining room and frees Mindy and Van from the ladies room (where Reva has locked them in). Van starts telling him that Reva attacked her and needs help.  Reva escapes out the window of the dining room and goes back to the party, climbs onto a table and starts a striptease. Josh gets her to stop, takes her home and after filling Ed in, decides to go to the doctor the next day. Reva then takes off and spends days running around town, coming on to a guy she thinks is Billy, Billy, Hamp, Frank and Roger.  Roger takes her to his apartment and takes nude pictures of her, which he tries to blackmail Billy with. He wants the deed to the land the Towers is on in exchange for them. (Billy had been left the deed by a sweet old lady who lost her home in the 5th street fire. Roger had stolen the deed from her before she died. After Roger took those pics of Reva, she saw him hide them, and took an envelope from the hiding place. She didn't realize she'd taken the deed and not the pictures.)  Anyway, Billy and Vanessa trick Roger into burning the pictures, claim the deed and at the Towers opening reveal that Billy owns the land and therefore the Towers. That's what led to Roger and Alex's breakup and Roger and Mindy's affair. Mark Lewis was on ATWT? 1986 is not a good year, storywise. No bueno. Muy no bueno.
    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.
