Does anybody remember the storylines in Loving, the city and port charles.

I didn't watch Lovin or The City but OF COURSE I remember the stories of Port Charles!! It was so wonderful until the last two years. :angry:

PC was great up until 2002 when supernatural overload destroyed the show.

So, I haven't posted in here in quite some time, but I had question. Does soapnet play just from 'Fate' on, for Port Charles? I've been watching the for the past couple of months. I came in during the middle of 'Time in a Bottle'. I remember watching the early stuff during the original run, before it went to supernatural telenovela, but don't ever remember seeing that stuff on soap net. Just curious.

SN ONLY plays material from Fate-The Gift and they replay them when the cycle's done. Unfortunetly they dont do anything with the material prior to 2001. They used to but stopped in 2002

I'm confused? SN has never aired the pre-arc storylines at all, they didn't start airing the show not till before or after PC went off the air, I don't ever remember them showing anything but the arcs :unsure:

No, when SN debuted in 2000, it did aire pre-arc storylines as there were no arcs back then. Bc PC was only a half hour, they combined it with a Flashback episode which started the series from the very beginning. Flashback: Port Charles aired right before each current Port Charles. Thats how it ran till I believe 2002. Tainted Love proved so popular, that they gave it a second run and followed it with Tempted, both of which temporarily took over the Flashback: PC spot. Eventually, they phased out the Flashback show completely in favor of the arcs and havent aired them since.

Okay, thanks, I wasn't aware SN aired PC back then, I thought only started airing it once it went off the air.

The Impaler reveal was so bogus I’m about to seriously reconsider my viewership. The last thing this show needed was another white person running murky operations, making it Joey’s never before seen sister just put salt in an already growing wound.
I’ll be 100% honest and say that if Joey were played by a black or even Latino actor I wouldn’t be bothered by his control and story focus on canvas. Watching this tired white man wield so much power on what was sold as a black soap opera has become too blatant for me to ignore at this point, and to top it off he and Vanessa and their low budget Sonny and Carly adventures from the 00s aren’t even interesting outside of Deanna being on their asses.
I’ve been very disappointed by the trajectory of the show overall these last few months. I think the creatives in charge have mediocre taste and lack consistent quality control. Post Guza’s exit the storylines I did care about have become so stalled I’m barely invested anymore. Weeks of episodes go by and it feels like nothing truly significant is happening.
I wish they weren’t so insistent on portraying the Dupree’s as this happy black excellence family who only endlessly praise themselves and each other and would instead delve deeper into some of the inner conflict we saw brewing during the first season. It would make things so much more interesting. As it stands the show has become little more than background noise for me which is so disappointing.

BTG/Y&R: Landmark crossover event announced!

Okay so this is resolved okay in-universe for both shows.
On the Y&R episode that will air Wed. June 10 in USA,
it just aired Tues. June 9 day-ahead in Canada.
In that Y&R episode, this happens:
(spoiler from Canadian Y&R)
So it fits "in-universe" for the characters of both shows,
but the Canadian Y&R viewers learned of the BTG situation a day early.

However: my thoughts are that for USA viewers, this is going to be a bit weird since Y&R airs before BTG in most USA markets, so for anyone watching both episodes in broadcast order in the USA, the tornado will be mentioned to Y&R viewers an hour before the BTG viewers see the tornado begin.

But otherwise it works in-universe that nobody is in two places at once.

So we basically had Serena as a kid on PC and GH largely ignored her only to bring her back decades later with a 43 year old. I know its been decades but its gonna be hard for me to see her grown like this bc GH should have done more with her beside a quick cameo

I saw her last YR return and still wasn’t impressed. She has a very dry generic presence on screen that may work for low budget Christmas movies but I wanted someone stronger for Serena.
