With the horrible news of veteran Renee Jones being let go and news that MORE pink-slips will be coming, I just wanted to know who we think may be next on the DAYS hit list.

It is clear that DAYS is actively going after Joseph Mascolo and Eileen Davidson (Stefano & Kristen) for returns and perhaps some of these axings for to get them back.

I think Reckell, Alfonso, Nichols, Evans, Hall, Hogestyn, Sweeney and Datillo are all for the most part safe, as far as veterans go.

James Reynolds status now seems up in the air with Renee Jones being let go, where the hell is Abe supposed to go from this...I would NOT be suprised if he is cut too and that would cause an even bigger uproar than Jones' firing.

I can see 1 person from the younger set getting cut (praying it isn't Ashley Benson's Abby). Perhaps Shayna Rose (Stephanie) or Blake Berris (Nick).

Judy Evans (Bonnie), Julie Pinson (Billie), Lauren Koslow (Kate), Josh Taylor (Roman) & Rhassan Orange (Tek) all seem like very likely candidates to be cut next considering their lack of current storyline.

How Judy Evans has made it this far without getting a pink-slip is beyond me, considering the pending exits of Brody Hutzler (Patrick) and Farah Fath (Mimi).

Julie Pinson makes sense, Judi Evans is a light weight contract so I guess that is why she is not off completely. But seriously with Mimi and Patrick out she serves NO PUROSE. Let the Lockharts go.

I don't see Koslow threatened at all. I hope she isn't either. Ditto for Josh Taylor. He's been used now more than he has in the last 2 years!! Plus there is that friendship thing. Taylor *should* be dropped to recurring though.

After the next person, potentially, is fired, if at all, there is really no one logisitically that should go. It would be the most pointless firing.

My votes are Lauren Koslow, especially after those foreshadowing lines from Bo a few weeks ago about her being careful around EJ and of course, Bonnie. Perhaps she sees/hears something going on with EJ and EJ kills her?

With Lexie gone, I would think that TEK and Celeste (even though she is only recurring) go too.....

I wish Josh Taylor would go. He really doesn't serve a purpose now anyway. They only need to have Abe running the police station, not Roman too.

Push come to shove, I would be all right if TPTB got rid of Frank Parker (Grandpa Shawn) too. He's a nice character and I would love the show to explore the roots of the Dimera/Brady feud, but given the budget constraints, I think Grandpa Shawn is expendable....

WOW, I really can't see Kate being killed or Koslow being let go. But of course, weirder things have happened. It would make for some really good story if it is done right, (but can it be??), but really DAYS without Kate kinda feels weird!!

Josh Taylor and James Reynolds are realistic.

I am absolutely sure that he does not cost NEARLY as much as some of the other people that were mentioned.

As for Tanya Boyd, she can't really be fired because she is on recurring status with the show and has been for 5 years or so now.

These are all the vets of the show--people who have been on the show on a continuous basis for 10 years or more. I don't think that the show would get rid of Frances, Suzanne, Drake, Deirdre or Alison. Peggy McCay and Frank Parker are questionable. Then go down the list. Based on certain rumors, Kristian and Peter are now questionable but they have a HUGE fanbase. So who's next on the list? Lauren Koslow. Since she's been on the show for over 10 years, she's making veterans' pay, not newbie pay. So if they cut her out and maybe Josh Taylor, then they can come up with the cash to get Eileen/Joe. I'm sure that Corday has the numbers worked out. We all know that they tried to get Joe M part-time. Why part-time? Maybe b/c they couldn't afford to pay him veterans' salary full-time? With RJ and possibly LK and JT out, they might be able to come up with the cash to afford ED. Maybe....

Plus, Ridge, you've got to look at the trends in the soap industry. Women over 40 are getting targeted by soaps now. You had Barr at AMC fired. Then ED at Y&R. Who else?

I really do think that Lauren could go next. It's just a feeling I've had for the past couple of months. I like LK and Kate a lot as a character, but in the grand scheme of things, she's expendable, especially compared to Bo/Hope.....

I don't watch for Lauren Koslow or Kate alone, and I am a DAYS fan so if anyone says I am not a DAYS fan for saying what I am about say I'll reach through my screen and b!tchslap them, but if LK is fired next, then I am, AM going to re-evaluate my future with this show. It's not her firing alone, but if you add that to Ashford, Peck, and Clark, it adds up to me not liking the direction of the show.

I don't think Judy Evans will be cut as she will have a big story once she gets a hold of Phillip & Mimi's baby.

Tek, Abe, Roman, Stephanie, Billie, Willow, Bonnie, Grandpa Shawn-those are expendable and the ones I can see going next.

I do not see Lauren Koslow going at all regardless of foreshadowing or whatever. She stirs the pot and is a character that isn't connected to the two core families. I think Billie is more expendable then her even though I love Pinson.

I am with King. I love Days and everyone knows I love the whole show but Koslow going would be a red flag that we are headed into some dangerous territory. With Philip returning and everything else, it would make no sense anyway. Plus, there are rumors of Vivian returning and Vivian without Kate doesn't seem likely.

I bet James Reynolds(Abe) is the next to get the pink slip.

The vets are always the most expendable, if they want to make cuts to pay for a Eileen Davidson return.

What's the story with Joe Mascolo? Is he coming back to DAYS or not?

I guess the prospects of any Jack/Jennifer return to Salem aren't looking great either.

As much as I love ED the show has to say this is the price we're willing to pay, if you don't like it, enjoy unemployment. It's not like they're luring her away. She has *NO* where to go. No other show can afford her either. This is RIDICULOUS.

As for making a list of who is to go and who is expendable, Hoagie hasn't axed many expendable people yet so why should he start now.

Hoagie and Corday better get their act together. *THIS* is why DAYS needs action people! And this is why it can't be boring! Because people are still adjusting to *NO* J/J, *NO* A/C, now *NO* Lexie, *NO* Phillip, and a new Shawn! And two new faces in Nick and Willow. Argue whatever you want, but that all adds up. Yeah Nick is a core family member and yeah Cook sucked, but a change is a change regardless, and too many in too small of a timespan upsets fans. No one likes change. This is why the writing should compensate for this backstage UPHEAVAL! I told you alllllllllllllll DAYS is headed to a weird place the second A&C got fired. I don't know why no one listened until pointless Lexie is fired.
