DAYS: Monday

I just made a little, quick tribute to the five most annoying characters on DAYS right now, in my eyes, of course. I'll post it in videobash momentarily. Oh, yeah, Willow is one of them. But ironically, I do think I am starting to like her. She's definitely the least annoying of these 5.

Glad to see you're seeing the light, King!

I did catch tonight's show on SoapNet, and it is better than any I got to see last week. But I too am in the Willow haters club. I agree with whoever said she is worst character to hit Salem. I don't know who I dislike more right now - her or Stephanie.

I like the cop stuff alot. That is what Hogan did best at ATWT, and I am glad to see him continue that.

I love evil EJ but I miss the other EJ too.

I know some will not be happy about this but we all have our things. I was so glad the DiMera name wasn't mentioned once today. At least not that I heard. I am not anti-DiMera but I am definitely not pro-DiMera either.

Love the new improved Victor.

Yes, she is fresh and interesting, besides which I think the mystery of her is enticing. You know she has something being added to contract.

I don't remember it being specifically mentioned except for the flipping around of the PHOENIX ring. Do they know EJ is a DiMera yet or do they learn that from the safety deposit box. Tomorrow should be very good.

I don't think they do. I have not watched every day so couldn't say with any surety. I do know that Friday I seem to remember John or someone saying something about the DiMeras. And it may just be me, I may have heard it wrong. Sometimes I do that.

As I said I am not anti-DiMera, I just am over them for awhile. JER and other writers have just ruined me on the family, and that is where Hogan and I disagree, and always will. I just could get so much more excited about the show again if it weren't for all the new focus on the DiMera's being back. As I have said there are other things I don't like about the show, and have all the way back to June. I think I could have taken anything - the Alamains back because it has been so long or even a big resurgance of Victor and the Kiriakis dynasty and either family being at the root of this. But after the ruination of the DiMera's it is just not for me.

I still love the show though and can't help but take a peak at it. I am just so glad I did today, because it was the best show I have seen of Days in awhile. Not great but not bad either.

I forgot to say I absolutely loved Lumi today.

Lucas, I love that you stood up for Sami. That was a GREAT first step. But right to bed? Bad, bad move, Sheffer.

I disagree, I think it's completely within both characters that this would happen so quickly. I'm not even really a Lumi fan (i'm not against them either), but this seems right to me that they would do this, given their past. I LOVED the Sami/EJ scene, especially that one where he had Sami against the door...I loved the music there. ITA with whoever said about the Philip/Claire/Victor scene being one of the most chilling of the year....so much could be felt right there without a word. I also loved how Martha seemed to be improvising in scenes with Claire and Shawn, she does great! I still can't wait for Martha's Belle and Brandon's Shawn to get it on though :P

Hold off on that criticism until tomorrow, Keith. ;)

I watched some of yesterday's show and it was pretty good, I think. Of course, there were scenes in which my four least favorite characters on the entire show (Bo, John, Abe, Roman) were all together...

The Lumi stuff was great. Even throughout my period of downright HATING this show, I still liked Lumi. Even if Sami can get childish.

And...um...I'm trying not to be superficial here...but...umm...18 minutes into the episode...there was a Shawn/Belle scene and Shawn was shirtless...and I think there might have been an Official Aiden Turner Buttcrack Flash from Mr. Brandon Beemer...

My opinion, no one need agree: Willow is absolutely stinky-poo. The actress needs to learn the meaning of the word moderation, she has not created a character that is enjoyably out there, just one that nonsensically pontificates. She is like an actor in a middle school play, and not one of the better ones either. She over-emotes, over-gestures, and over-steps her place as a new character. Because some of the first things she ever did was get in Belle's and Mimi's faces, I need to feel there was a reason for her to be put up against characters I already know. Instead her relationship with Shawn is shallower than either of the other two's, and since IMHO the actor is not very good, her presence is unwelcomed. If the actor had been enjoyable then I'd go along with it. Likewise if the part was more limited I could stomach it. As is, she came on too strong too fast and the longer it goes without signs of letting up the less I pay attention to any of Shawn's scenes. And the thing is if this is their way of making Shawn grittier, there really was no need to hire a whole new contract actor. Show Shawn saying goodbye to a gal or two before Belle comes in, or something. Willow is unnecessary. And Shelle used to be the worst thing on the show for me. And I still don't really care if they ever get together. That to me doesn't justify Willow.

She does get points for telling Shawn off of course. But again, nothing another character couldn't do.

One reason Hogan might want to show this side of Shawn is to take away the glossy high school puppylove feel Shelle had to it. He referred to Belle as having too much of a Tinkerbell quality and I think Shawn had the male equivalent of that as well. The thing about "trashing" Shawn's character is that Shawn is supposedly young, kind of at an age where some (not all) people do act out as they enter Life On Their Own. Another thing is how much is Shawn willing to change to get Claire and/or Belle. That's always been a big part of many love stories, including some that have gone off very well with Days fans in the past. Just thinking out loud.

Addendum to my other post: Lumi was great, except for the paint dumping thing. Not that I require everybody to be totally grown-up and humorless at all times, but we saw EJ manhandling Sami and then to follow that up with a lesser stunt, I felt it was an odd choice. But then again if they start small they will be able to build it up. Everything else was just Lumilicious.

I know that there was other stuff on my screen yesterday, but I was really fascinated with the Lumi scenes (as I know I will be today). Absolutely loved how Hogie is writing them!!!

I didn't find Willow to be all that bad yesterday. I thought that she was kind of funny when she was hiding from Belle and rolling her eyes at whatever Belle was saying. Maybe it was that I just liked Willow when she keeps her mouth shut? She kind of reminds me of ATWT's Pilar, who also annoyed me. I've got a feeling that Willow might begin to get psycho and try to harm Claire out of jealousy....

Speaking of superficiality, I wonder if Corday et al will allow Hogan to write in love scenes like Hogie wrote one "steamy" love scene with Mike and Katie back in the day....

This one might be too hot for Days' targeted (conservative) viewers.....

Wow! Ademption, that is HOT!

I remember that scene. It was so hot. Of course if I remember that was before the Janet Jackson boob incident. Too bad soaps are afraid to do scenes like that anymore.

You didn't see this clip when it first aired 2 years ago? I thought that you were one of the people that posted in that LONG thread about these scenes. I forgot who it was but someone here at SON posted screencaps of that scene. Then Erol go p.o.'ed and shut the whole thread down and deleted the caps. It was hilarious!!

But SteveFrame is right. It did air right before the Janet Jackson flap, so who knows when we'll get to see scenes like that on daytime, let alone broadcast tv again....

I think I maybe saw a screencap, but I don't think i saw the scene.

haha, I thought it was just me that thought I saw Brandon's crack in that one scene!
