I do not want him thrown into a relationship at all - but it's something I've thought about.

I've considered the possibility of him turning out gay- to further the character's inner struggle with being so diverse and challenged. With this, I've imagined a major age gap relationship with Will, if and when he's old enough. I think it would be nice for Benjy's first love story to echo his introduction - helping someone through a temporary deaf experience could be really heartfelt.

I also think it'd be interesting to see him with Billie, given what's going on now with Nick and her.

I'm not really sure about anyone else at the moment. What about you?

I thought that the show would want to pair him with Stephanie but perhaps he could be involved in a triangle with Stephanie and Chelsea (after the Chelsea/Nick thing is over).....

I don't think ANYONE needs to get involved with Stephanie right now, she needs to be their for her parents and I just don't think they need to give her a love interest, certainly not Benjy, because he is like an adopted son to Steve and Kayla as well.

I don't want them to throw Benji with anyone too quickly. I think they should let him interact with a lot of people and see where the chemistry is. Still, I don't get any kind of incest vibe for him with Stephanie. Her parents took him in for a few months and once considered adopting him, a year before she was born. That doesn't cross any boundaries for me.

My thing with Stephanie is not so much the adoption as the familial feelign that likely exists between him, Steve and Kayla. Whether or not they adopted him, they treated him like a son and probably always will. So, um, yeah.

And again - I do not want to see him paired with anybody for at least a year. I'm just saying - WHEN he gets a love interest.

I don't know how long I see the character lasting to be honest.

I'm all for playing the story out and not reducing the character to just a potential hook-up partner ... so for me personally I do not want to speculate yet.

I don't want him paired with anyone yet just like part of me hopes he remains deaf (although I do think they will correct that or maybe it already has and he is lying or something). I want the story to be played out first because I don't want a pairing with Benji forced. I want the Dimera aspect to be focused on a great deal.

Down the road, if they were going to pair him, I think he matches ok with Billie but I don't want to see that for awhile.

I LOVE the idea of Benjy being able to hear and keeping it from everyone. That's such a DiMera move. I wonder if he's come into contact with Stefano since he's been away from Salem. So many intriguing questions.

As for a love interest, I don't think it's needed right now. Maybe later on down the road? Perhaps. I want the show to go in the direction of Benjy finding out what really caused his deafness. You guys do know that Roman (or would it be John now?) was the one that caused Benjy to go deaf. Roman set up a bomb in a builing intended for Stefano, but Benjy was in the building instead. I wasn't watching in the 80s, hell I wasn't alive when Benjywas on but did he know what caused him to go deaf? I think that would be an interesting twist. He would have resentment towards Roman or John, whoever it was.

For a love interest though, I don't like Billie for Benjy. I don't know why, but I'm more of a Steve/Billie fan. I could see DAYS pairing Lunsford up with Martha Madison or even Farah Fath, but she's leaving.

And can they plese not call him Benjy anymore? LOL, Benjy is such a kid's name. I hope he corrects everyone soon and tells them to call him Ben or something.
