OLTL: Starr

I understand they are trying to soften Starr because she's a teen now and boys are coming into the picture but they are doing to much imo. 3 or 4 years Starr would have done something very "Todd" like to this Brittany and her friend ie. when she blackmailed her teacher and Todd pretty much told her good job.

I like the Starr story. Kids grow up and change. I'm sure if pushed enough we'll see the old Starr emerge, but I like the change.

I agree. Just months ago, Starr would fight anyone to save Todd when he was on death row. I have had enough of Brittany humilating Starr because Starr is quite capable of giving it back to Brittany. Starr is no one's victim.

Starr's more outrageous behavior was somewhat easier as a child: blackmailing Asa with his spurs, the piranha in Max's bath, the pie in the face.... As a teen, Starr will be expected to take a greater share of the responsibility for her own actions -- she could get prosecuted for putting a piranha in Brittany's bath.

My concern is that Dena doesn't do payback -- look what she did to TOdd. Blair's farfetched scheme. Spencer is prosecuted not for the setup of Todd (attempted manslaughter, obstruction of justice, etc) but for the death of an offscreen character that happened twenty five years ago. Is she or TPTB decide at some near-future point that Brittany is cheaper and popular, thus writing the story to favor her?

I wonder what could have been if they had made Brittany the spawn of Marty and Patrick, as opposed to Cole. That would give the girls bad blood, and the parent (s) bad blood to start. Making Brittany's parent a cheap, obnoxious dayplayer wasn't the way to go -- the last three attempts at young Romeo/Juliet have not gone well (Adrianna - River, Duke, Rex) Parents of dueling teenage divas might have been a more original dynamic.

I haven't been watching the show so I can't comment on Starr.

I do think it is so funny that regardless of age, Higley writes the same story: A triangle. LOL.

LOL, she would... I miss that about her, and it's probably why I find her more boring now than before. But at the same time, with all that happened to her and her family; it's understanding that she would change to who she is now.
