Daytime veteran Susan Seaforth Hayes will return to “Y&R” for the holidays as Joanna Manning, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin’s (Tracey E. Bregman) overbearing mother. Hayes’s episodes are scheduled to begin airing on Dec. 15.

Too bad DAYS isn't using her anymore.

I read this on the Sony board yesterday. Susan S. Hayes is one of my absolute favorite actresses of all time. I wish Y&R or some show would get her full time. She is a great actress and makes any show better.

If they aren't going to use her on Days, then why not go to Y&R...It would be wonderful to see her slap the taste out of GloHo's mouth a couple of times

Woo hoo! I LOVE Susan Seaforth Hayes! I hope Joanna slaps the crap out of Gloria. This is so random, but I'm so glad they are bringing her back. Is it just for the holidays or a recurring kind of thing?

I still can't believe DAYS hasn't used Doug and Julie in almost 11 months. Insane, especially considering the crap Hope and Bo were going through.

SSH will make me tune back into an otherwise abysmal Y&R for her visit. I loved her the last time.

They totally need to drop Gloria and keep her full time. Hogan will never use Doug and Julie so there is no conflict. Can't wait to see her again.

Joanna's last stint rocked, so glad she's back. Hopefully the writers realize she's a keeper. The [!@#$%^&*] feud with Gloria made both characters extremely interesting...
