Grey's Anatomy Star Comes Out

  • Member

I found this on Perez Hilton via People magazine.

Grey's Anatomy cutie, T.R. Knight, has come out of the closet!!!

"I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there," Knight said in a statement. "While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me."

This is so awesome. We really shed a tear!!

We've come so far in just one year.

Note to up-and-coming actors (and politicans as well): the rules are changing. Be out and proud from the beginning!

Good for him! It's nice to see more american entertainers not afraid to come out, hopefully some more will follow. I don't know who this guy is, because I don't watch the show.

Also from the Enquirer...

Hot-head Isaiah Washington hurled a vicious gay slur at one of his co-stars during an on-set brawl – and the ugly explosion of hate is ripping apart TV’s number one show.

Last week, the ENQUIRER broke the blockbuster news that Isaiah, 43, choked Patrick Dempsey, 40, in an Oct. 9 fight on the set of “Grey’s Anatomy." And now we can reveal the secret behind the outrage.

“The melee has set off World War III on the show and may cost Isaiah his job,” an insider told The ENQUIRER.

“The cast is divided over the shameful event.”

As The ENQUIRER exclusively revealed last week, Patrick and Isaiah clashed over cast members being late to the set, right before shooting a scene at Prospect Studios in Los Angeles.

A heated discussion quickly escalated to violence when Isaiah snapped, revealed an eyewitness.

At one point, Isaiah yelled, “I’m not your little faggot like (name deleted),” according to the source. Those who heard him were stunned.

Because of the extreme nature of the slur, The ENQUIRER is withholding the name of the co-star targeted by Washington. During the brawl, an enraged Isaiah grabbed Patrick by the throat and shoved him a few feet.

I guess we know who he was talking about now. That's disappointing. I haven't begun watching Grey;s yet, but he was ne of the main reason for me getting the DVDs. I hope this isn't true and that he isn't an ass.

I am glad he is comfortable with himself to come and admit he is gay, especially being a working actor. I hope the rumors arent true about there being a brawl back stage because of one guys sexuality, if it is true that's sad.

I love Georgeeeeeeeeee, and TR Knight is awesome. But I still hate the fact that we're stuck in a world where it's still a big hoopla because someone who happens to be an actress is gay. My little "I hate the world" line for today.

It is true. The actors confirmed it.

Well good for him for coming out!! I love TR now more than ever.

Me too *swoon*

Those puppy dog eyes and that boyish grin, He's my pretend boyfriend

Oh, I've loved TR since the begining of the show and now that he's confirming he's gay (not that those of us with keen gaydar hadn't already guessed as much), I'm loving him even more.

I don't believe anything from the Enquirer. If it were in People magazine, then that would be different, but I'm not taking the words of something that was printed in the tabloids.

*I'm referring to the information about why the fight between Dempsey and Washington started.

As for T.R. Knight, he's a cutie, so if he's comfortable coming out, then I'm happy for him.

The only reason why I am giving an credence to the Enquirer is because their story is pretty much inline with all the eye witness reports of the fight that happened during the on location shoot.

The Enquirer story was also confirmed by the NY Post I believe. People don't give the rag enough credit though. I remember reading an article on it a while ago that said there's more truth than you would think.

Bellcurve, why are you on strike? The reason I've never watched the show is because is stole Boston Legal's timeslot away which really pissed me off. Because of that they severely reshot the last five episodes (to include new cast members) and the BL fans most likely will never get to see all of those storylines left on the cutting room floor. Not just deleted scenes, but we lost full storylines. :(

The exact same reason. I've always thought that BOSTON LEGAL was the perfect compliment to DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES.

When LEGAL was shifted to Tuesdays, I was never able to watch it, because I either taped syndicated/daytime programming that day or always forgot to watch on Tuesdays.

I may start watching, b/c of T.R. Knight. We gays gotta support each other. LOL.

Here's more on the fight last week

For McDreamy, it's nearly lights out

They almost needed some real doctors on the set of "Grey's Anatomy" this week, according to sources who say stars Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey got into a violent brawl.

Our spy at the production corroborated a National Enquirer report that a long-simmering feud boiled over on Monday when Washington (Dr. Preston) attacked Dempsey (Dr. Shepherd).

The donnybrook is said to have erupted at L.A.'s Prospect Studios when Washington, 43, and Dempsey, 40, started arguing over cast members being late for a scene.

According to The Enquirer's source, the unscripted drama played out like this:

"What are we waiting on?" said Isaiah.

"Not me," said Patrick. "I'm always ready."

"At that point," said the source, "Isaiah said something mean to T.R. Knight" (who plays mild-mannered Dr. George O'Malley).

"That's when Patrick told Isaiah, 'Pick on somebody your own size.'

"Well, that did it. Isaiah became enraged and grabbed Patrick by the throat and shoved him back a few feet.

"Dr. McDreamy [Dempsey's nickname]almost landed in McDreamland."

When Knight demanded that the pair break it up, the source says, "Isaiah called him a bitch. Isaiah stormed off to his trailer to cool off, while Patrick and T.R. stood there in disbelief.

"The director and producers got involved, and a meeting was organized with the network execs."

Washington came back to the set, and the actors finished their scene, but feelings are still said to be raw, with neither actor offering an apology.

"Isaiah is a theater-trained actor who can't stand the whole McDreamy magazine-cover-boy furor over Patrick," says the source.

Our source denied Washington choked Dempsey, but confirmed, "Isaiah said some disgusting things. He was in Patrick's face. I think Isaiah has issues. There's an underlying jealousy. But it's not Patrick's fault. They've put a lot of pressure on him by making him the face of the show. Patrick never asked for it, but he promotes the show whole-heartedly."

Enquirer editor David Perel told us "the sourcing on this story is rock-solid."

Dempsey's spokeswoman said, "There was an argument on set. In any close-knit family, sometimes people argue. But everybody made up and went back to work."

Our calls to an ABC spokesman and publicist for Washington weren't returned.

Let's be glad there weren't any scalpels lying around.

I have a feeling Washington will exit the show before season's end.
