Okay, so comments now that I've finished Season 7.

I just hate the way Lana was written out. I feel a bit sick when an original character is just put in a coma for the last few episodes of the season and then they're just gone. I do realize that this might be due to some contract rule Kreuk got (I don't know what went on that season) but still.

I do, however, agree that her character has reached usefulness. If she isn't with Clark, there isn't much place for her.

I also grew to like Kara a lot, so I'm sad to see her go. I wonder if they will resolve her imprisonment in the Phantom Zone or if this will be a big question mark until her following guest appearance.

It does feel like and end of an era with all of these people leaving. I hope Season 8 doesn't disappoint.

Hahah yeah, I've read some very hateful comments on anything "Lana and season 8 related."

Meh, at least I get more Lois (even though it is one more season of her partial appearances).

Oliver is a nice addition too. And I've always liked Chloe... and even Jimmy to an extent.

I was highly dissapointed with the final fight. I was left thinking "that was it" Darkseid gets taken out with one hit? That was very underhwlming considering how hyped up he was all season. I also thought there was way too much focus on Lois, Clark and their wedding the first half. What was even more of a letdown is that we never even got to see them get married! WTF? I thought we'd see them tie the not in the final segment but that never happened. Overall the finale wasnt bad but it could have been so much better

And did anyone not care about Tess? I hated how she was killed off and forgotten with her getting absolutely no acknowledgement from anyone

Tess rubbed a toxin on his face that made him forget everything. So he doesn't remember Clark is Superman or Smallville or anything. Lex's montage was his memories disappearing. The bright side is Lana is wiped from his mind forever.

    • Assuming that Marland had been allowed to write the Carrie story the way he'd envisioned, Millette would've been involved in the story. And she might've played a role in Andy Norris' return (if the speculation on that had ever materialized, and Marland loved bringing back bad boys) But he doesn't seem interested in Sara's personal life. And the women of Springfield could only be analyzed so much.
    • This better be something, because as I said, so far it's just cliches and stereotypes -- the story we've heard a thousand times about the homeless person who doesn't want a home and prefers to live on the streets.
    • @rsclassicfanforever thank you very much for the recent uploads of season 13 containing some episodes that were skipped or glitchy on YouTube!  I had a look at 3172 though and there is no audio for most of it? Would you have a copy with complete audio? Fingers crossed! Thanks again!

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
    • Just learned that Clifton Davis wrote this song!  I had no idea.

    • I think even if Marland had wanted to write more for Sara/Adam, his hands would have been tied as Robert Milli was one of the actors dumped by P&G due to his age.  From the bits and pieces I've seen of that period, Sara does have a key role in the Carrie plot, and Marland briefly gave her son Tim a more important part. I'm not sure if they just gave up on Tim once Kevin Bacon left or if they never really cared. I did not even know for many years that there was an actor in the part after Kevin...and then not one, but two. The Spauldingfield video on Tim doesn't even show the last actor (Nigel Reed), which kind of says it all. Anyway, I do get the sense Marland has some use for Sara, or for Millette. It's only after he goes that she is dumped. Of course he didn't ever hire her for his other shows, so maybe I'm wrong. (then again he never hired Geraldine Court either and he seemed very fond of her) Ann is an odd character to me as she is a proto-Lillian in being defined by pining for a Bauer brother and being involved in the death of one of their wives. I do wonder what else they could have done with her. She was friends with Diane, wasn't she? They could have had Diane manipulate her against Mike, I suppose.
