Just watched the bloated-as-hell two-hour season finale.  PLEASE tell me "ADA Strike Back," as he is known elsewhere, is not coming back.  I mean, when they have to turn the whole show into an action flick JUST to keep him in his dramatic wheelhouse, it's clear he's a bad fit.

And they did it, obviously, to make us care about him, since it was clear to us that we didn't.

I just wish this show would focus on the case of the week and skip the "personal life" stories.  They just don't work in the L&O-verse.

UGGGGH. I didn’t think any episode could annoy me more than Barba's exit, but this one did. Can we have ONE season finale that doesn't involve a hostage situation and/or shooting? The only good thing was the all too brief appearance of Carolyn McCormick as Dr. Olivet.

Why isn't Ice-T/Fin the star of the show? I know I am not the only one sick of "The Saint Olivia Hour". I want to know what Fin has on Chief Dodds that they've been hinting at all season. I can only hope that Season 20 is better than what we've gotten the past few years, but I'm not holding my breath. Mariska just has way too much power and she's taking the show down with her. 😠😠😠😠😠

Watched an eppy Saturday.  I believe it was from S15, and Olivia once again ruins someone's life.  I watched because Billy Porter was in the eppy.  Not familiar with him but I wanted to know what all the fuss was about, especially since he came to the Oscars in a dress

Olivia ruins this guy's life because, of course, these little white kids have to be telling the truth and everyone is a rapist until Olivia Benson says otherwise.  At the end, right on schedule, the camera pans to a very sad Olivia because she did everything right but the outcome was still wrong.  [!@#$%^&*] HATE HER!

Oh, and in case you're wondering...yeah, I'm still trying to figure out what the Billy Porter fuss is about

    • I mentioned that last week and I am glad Tate and Sophia just realized that today lol.  I think the show is just tying up some of Ron's loose ends.   You would think Brady, Holly or even Marlena would have perhaps pointed out the age thing to Tate at some point. I am not sure I like this shift in Sophia's characterization though.  MK played Sophia as someone who always defied her mom's rules-she just didn't get caught.  She was openly trying to steal Tate from Holly with no shame, showing up at the Horton cabin in bikinis to seduce him, and blackmailing Holly to work all her shifts at the Bistro.  Once the recast started the show has acted like Sophia's lived in her room, sheltered her entire life lol.
    • I thought Dante was going to put hands on Gio
    • If Jordan never appeared again, I would absolutely not notice or miss her.  So, while Brook Kerr has her flaws, she at least appears to have a pulse and a personality as Portia.
    • That's because India, or the India MKA ended up playing, was created due to the fact that both she and Kristi Farrell were liked by TPTB, but the part they both read for didn't exactly fit either one of them so the show created two brand new characters for both actresses to play (India and Roxie) and opted not to cast the character they were intending to cast (A cousin of Beth's). I think that's why the show seemed to struggle at first with how to write both India and Roxie in their first months on the show because the characters weren't ever intended to exist.  And yes.. Grant A had a great body... but I didn't find him hot when he was playing Phillip.. only when he was playing Alec on AMC which baffles me since it was the same actor in both parts LOL
    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
    • Thanks @Franko  @slick jones You may be interested in the Elisabeth Shue mention. I have to laugh that they apparently didn't even know Teri Hatcher was on Capitol. I have scans somewhere of SPW talking with soap actors about Soapdish. Some, like Mary Stuart, were not happy. I never had a lot of interest in the movie myself.
    • I never had much of a problem with Brandon Claybon's performance as Martin. He has gotten much better though. While I enjoy his confrontational scenes, I must say his lighter, and carefree scenes from Thursday's episode are the ones that stood out most in the last 3 days (to me).   I agree with all of this!
    • I know that Secret Storm had moved back to the 4/3 PM timeslot in the final months on air, so it's possible that they were trying to employ new techniques/elements to lure the teen demographic.   If that episode was around November/December 1973, I do wonder if the owners (AHS) were still trying to shop the show to other networks still.. or if they had accepted that the show was going to officially go off the air in Feb 1974 at the time of this episode airing.
