Good episode! It brought the family back together, which is where they are the most entertaining. Nice to see Tommy and Holly more, too.

The Holly/Nora fight was sooo great, and Patricia did a great job breaking down at the end of those scenes.

Calista Flockhart plays a great drunk - those scenes with Kitty/Kevin was so funny.

Next week will be pretty dramatic with the twins... :(

I loved yesturday espisode.

Kitty and Kevin rocked. I loved everyone getting drunk and Kevin spilling the beans. I dont know but Kevin rocks for me.

It was long over for Nora and Holly. It was a great scene. I loved that she broke down cause it showed how much she did love this man and didnt mind what ever time he gave her.

Thank god the Professor is gone now send back Treat Williams.

Next weeks looks ruff.

Treat Williams isn't coming back unless his show on TNT gets cancelled.

Glad Professor Mark is out, I hated the pervet-looking guy.

I loved the show, especially the fight between Nora & Holly except the last of it where Nora was comforting Holly. DO NOT let them be friendly B&S, if you do, it's the DEATH of this fine show.

I think its possible for them to be friends, but not anytime soon. I would feel better about holly if it weren't for the fact that she knew that william was married with kids, if she didn't know that I could give the character a chance.

If Patricia Wettig submits this episode, she just won a 4th Emmy for herself.

She was amazing!

This was one of my favorite episodes...I really like that characters like Tommy and Holly got a chance to shine....There were two moments that really stood out to me in the episode....Nora and Holly's argument and the food fight that followed, will go down as one of my favorite moments in the history of the show...Amazing job by both of them....And another hillarious scene was when Kevin found Kitty nearly passed out on pain killers and wine....

I just adore this show..It can make me smile, laugh out loud, and even at some points cry..which by the looks of it, i might do next week...And one last comment....That vineyard/estate was gorgeous....

I wouldn't be so sure... How long can it take to shoot a series for TNT with probably just 13 episodes or so?

Treat Williams could at least guest on the first episodes of B&S's second season in the fall. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

So kind of cool news...My family is one of the leading stainless wine tank producers in the US...well our tanks were used on this weeks Brother's and Sisters during some of the winery scenes..Specifically, the scene where tommy speaks to everyone and talks about his pregnant wife. They appear in the background..

My uncle recognized the tanks, but can't figure out what winery they filmed at..He's thinking Firestone Vineyards...Does anyone know how to find out? It didn't appear in the credits..

Emmy-season gets nearer - B&S-producers have already stated they will go for drama series - and I compiled the first facts courtesy of Goldderby. :)

Emmy tapes are being sent out with actors and producers already decided on the 1 tape each actor (whether supporting or lead) can send for consideration. They have until the end of this month to change their mind.

And when nominations are announced they could send a different tape (but they usually stick with what gets them nominated).

Preliminary submissions...

Lead Actress

Sally Field: ?

Calista Flockhart: ?

Supporting Actress

Rachel Griffiths: "An Act of Will"

Patricia Wettig: ?

Lead Actor

NONE

Supporting Actor

Ron Rifkin: "The Other Walker"

Balthazar Getty: "Love Is Difficult"

Dave Annable: ?

Guest Actors Drama

Jason Lewis: "Three Parties"

Tom Skerritt: "Patriarchy"

"Brothers & Sisters" filmed this scene on location in Simi Valley in Ventura County.

As always, Saturday was my B&S night...

Thought that "Grapes of Wrath" was fantastic. Wonderful acting of Sally Field, Patricia Wettig and till date Calista Flockhart's best performance as Kitty.

Also all siblings had about equal screen-time and the dialogue was perfectly crispy. The ending was shocking but I love that they now do cliffhangers...

And buh-bye Professor August.

Can't wait for tonight's episode! :)

OK first off Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Wow what an emotional ride. This show just rocks.

Can I say how much I just love Kevin. His and Kitty relationship is just so freakin good.

Tommy and Julie, wow Julie just broke my heart. I felt her pain and I understood where Tommy was coming from. Wow just Wow. I cried tonight and possably getting ready to cry tomarrow with Y&R and next week with Justin.

The break up of the marriage was done on point and I like the childs reaction. She said everything I said when my parents told me we are getting seperated so I thought that was very real. .

Becky has a secret and boy when that comes out it will be interesting but it is truely interesting to see her relationship with Nora and how much she respects and values her opinion.

Sally Field I swear when she cries I cried. It never fails.

Love the review (from: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,1553870,00.html):

ABC's Brothers & Sisters experienced both hype (not since The Philadelphia Story has a finer cast been assembled!) and backlash (recasts! reshoots!) before the program even hit the air. By the time the pilot premiered in September — a dark, somewhat torturous hour about the Kennedy-esque Walker clan of California — who didn't envy Tom Skerritt's patriarch, William, as he fatally faceplanted in the backyard pool? At least he got to escape this bunch of Debbie Downers.

Since then the series has improved, not-so-coincidentally around the time that Everwood creator Greg Berlanti signed on as executive producer. An Upstairs, Downstairs gay story line for Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys) shows promise — and the series deserves kudos for showing a passionate male-on-male kiss two weeks running. But Brothers is still in search of an identity. Its issues — child diabetes, a handsy older gentleman who harasses Sally Field's Nora — are rather antiquated, and any show that mentions the phrase ''pension fund,'' much less relies on it for a major plot point, should have its dramatic license revoked. The roster of familiar stars hasn't helped Brothers' cause: First Patricia Wettig appears to remind us the program doesn't have the novelty that thirtysomething did. Then Treat Williams drops by to remind us that the drama isn't as layered or textured as Everwood. Then Meredith Baxter shows up to remind us that this clan doesn't jell as seamlessly as the one on Family.

The titular brothers and sisters should also serve as a chemistry lesson to future showrunners: They're a fine bunch, but they don't seem to be orbiting the same show, never mind the same family. (The pudgy kid and Robot Girl from Small Wonder were more believable as siblings.) No matter how hard Calista Flockhart tries, her conservative TV pundit Kitty comes across as just shy of endearing and compassionate. Rachel Griffiths, terrific for years on Six Feet Under, can't seem to keep her Aussie accent contained. Of all the siblings, only Balthazar Getty's Tommy (his raison d'être: he's sterile) and Rhys' Kevin are relatable (and seemingly related).

Ultimately, none of them really matter, because the title of the show is a misnomer: It's really The Sally Field Hour. As Nora — the passive-aggressive (emphasis on aggressive) matriarch dealing with the legacy of her philandering and possibly criminal dead husband — the Oscar winner rises above the material and elevates every actor (and inanimate object) she interacts with.
