DAYS- Another former writer returns

Thought you guys might be interested to know Jack & Jennifer's final episode script (Airdate: September 21) was written by former DAYS headwriter Anne Schoettle. She was Co-HW with Richard Allen from Jan 1990 to June 1991.

Not sure if she is permanently on the staff or just wrote this episode.

Thanks!

I had a feeling she would come back. She and Beth Milstein are like BFF's. They always write for the same soaps. LOL Acutally, I think they're writing partners.

Where did you hear about this, Ponz?

COULDN'T be MORE happy she is back on the DAYS writing team.

Things are definetly looking good on the writing team with Milstein, Schoettle, Sheffer, Brash ect

Did she only return to write this one episode? If not, DAYS just got a gem of a writer!

HS and KC are classy guys! That's neat to know, thanks.

Holy Mary mother of God! If I'm not mistaken, Schoettle is often credited as being one of the writers who really *got* Jack & Jennifer. I'm actually beginning to think that Days is going to send the characters out *right* this time.

And I'm really thinking Jack will be coming back sometime during 2007.

I hope she stays for good-I love her!!

If not, at least J&J's farewell will be done right :) .

So am I. There are hints everywhere. Hogan likes Matt and wanted to write for him and this recent stuff with J&J just suggests to me that J&J are going to be getting into danger and that something could happen to Jen. If things go the way they seem to be going, this is perfect setup for Jack to return solo IMO.

I'm wondering if Jack's upcoming departure is only for the purpose of giving Jack & Jennifer a happy ending and giving the character a break away from all the death and dying stuff. That's all the character has been about for the last....oh...3 years. I hate to say it, but the only way to put some real distance between Jack and some of the stupidity forced upon the character by previous head writers. When he does come back (and I believe he *will* be back) the character will be refreshed and re-invigorated.

People complained about John & Marlena being off-camera for the entire summer, but (IMO) it's done wonders for both characters because they'd been crapped on, too, for the better part of 3 years and now (with distance between then and all of the past crap), they're both coming alive like we haven't seen them in eons.

Aww, yay for J&J [and their fans[ if she'll write their last stuff :) I hear she was great for them!

I agree Matt. I missed J&M like crazy but they returned so refreshed and reinvigorated. I actually think it was the right decision looking back on it as it did make all the crap they got before a distant memory. Luis on Passions is another example. He was off for more then 8 months and sicne his return it is like a different actor. He seems to be loving what he is doing and the character is in a good place now IMO. I hope the same happens to Mackenzie Westmore's Sheridan (although part of me hopes not as I love Kam Heskin).

I am about 95% sure Jack will be back very soon, as in early 2007. As I said, there are signs all over the place.

I hope so!!! He is so good on Days. MA is just like Ali, he gives 100% in every scene.

I love watching him as Jack.
