DAYS- Meg Kelly to be Hogan's Co-Headwriter?

Apologies if this has already been mentioned...

I've just read the actual Hogan Sheffer interview in SOD and he makes specific reference to his "co-head Meg Kelly". It was in the context of discussing what to do with Phillip's character. I checked in the profiles and she was a SW on ATWT for several years under Hogan. It appears he's brought her over with him and she is sharing the HW duties.

I believe she'll be serving as an associate HW, like Milstein. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

Yeah I have the issue and read him refer to her as that too.

It really doesn't matter to me although Beth is doing great work so I think she deserves that spot. The wya Hogan talked about her in SOD it only sounded like she was brought on to set things up for him. I hope Beth is going to be a part of his team. As long as she is on the team I am happy.

Meg Kelly was hired under Hogan Sheffer. He only hired a few of his own dialogue writers, a lot of them were holdovers from Laiman and Broderick. Anyway, some of the writers hired under Hogan were really bad. Meg Kelly, however, always did good work (she wrote a really good Christmas episode in 2002, for example.) IIRC, she left almost immediately after Passanante took over, so she and Hogan obviously like working together.

I think he means associate head writer.

Meg Kelly doesn't seem like someone who would be named co-HW. If anyone should be named co-HW it should be Beth Milstein, who knows the show.

They need to keep Beth as co-HW or a main dialogue writer. What's she done so far has been excellent.

Meg wuz fired from "World Turns" after Hogan left.

She literally wrote five breakdowns at "One Life" before she was fired there.

I wonder what's up - she was good at scripts.

That's probably it -- she was good at scripts. Heaven forbid a soap uses a GOOD dialouge writer!

I was hoping Hogan would bring in Richard Allen as his Co-head or associate HW. According to some rumours, HS wanted to but Allen didn't want to give up his lecturing job at TCU. He knows DAYS history even better than Milstein and also worked under Hogan at ATWT.
