When did Jay Leno and David letterman did skits on her?

Last week.

Letterman did skits on two shows and Jay Leno did a skit this past Tuesday I believe. They mentioned "Osama's love slave" and Osama lusting for Whitney in [!@#$%^&*]'s new book.

I heard some ladies at the mall saying don't watch "DAYS" because Bin Laden's mistress is writing it. I went over and explained to them what the situation really is and that she wasn't "willingly" his mistress, but I don't think the networks have time to explain all that to viewers.

I was REALLY pulling for [!@#$%^&*]! Oh well. Maybe BET or TVOne will hire her to develop a soap or telenovela. She would be perfect.

I was pulling for [!@#$%^&*] too, Bellecurve But I am sure she will land on her feet. If she can survive Osama bin Laden, she can surely survive being dissed by the soap industry/networks.

People can be so cruel at times. Just give the woman a chance, networks! And it certainly does not help one bit when David Letterman and Jay Leno do skits about her.

I wish [!@#$%^&*] all the best. She is now gone from DAYS and, frankly, it doesn't bother me at all.

I was pretty disgusted at how pointlessly nasty (not to mention, idiotic!) some of the flamers were to Boof.

It's scary to think that these folks are out there in the real world...voting, driving on public streets, and (worst of all) REPRODUCING! Eek!

I know what you're saying, Ryan, but I don't think it's entirely her fault. There has been 10000x more chatter about her than there has been word from her (other than her book, which no one is compelled to buy and read.)

What is clear to me is that ABCD acted badly in this case; and took the easy road out. They threw a talented woman under the bus and washed their hands of her. What they should have done is use the tizzy to set the record straight and boost curiousity-tune-ins. It isn't like there is anything that would cause new people to check out soaps happening lately. How long ago was the Lianca kiss? (The thing that got me to watch soaps after 30 years off.)

I know she isn't onscreen, but the opportunities to reach audience that hasn't taped an ABCD show in years was tremendous here. I hope the PTB, writers, actors, and whomever else's egos are sufficiently soothed with her firing. But I don't think they know how badly they blew it. It doesn't matter if they tune in to see what KB wrote and not a particular actor or whatever. They'll see you (or your show, or your words), and sink or swim on your own from there. Of course, now they won't be curious, and won't see you. Happy, ABCD soaps?

The lesson is: Ignorant mad people are gold, because they are interested in what you will say in reply and will listen to your responses and tune in to either feel validated or change their minds. They also cause other people to tune in to discover "whats all the fuss aboot?" Also, many primetime writers are famous for a reason ... and their fame helps their shows, and is not discouraged, for a reason.

But stay supersafe, AB*D. There is no "see" in your acronym anymore.

Actually, [!@#$%^&*]'s book is currently sold out and is awaiting another printing. People are buying it and reading it or there wouldn't be this much media attention on her. It's not all coming from her stint at Days.

See? That's what I mean, Matt. It's what I'm talking about. She hasn't said much, and people are endlessly curious about her anyway. Whether they be bookreaders, or ignorant misinformed people who thought she was a willing mistress of Osama and complained to some soap PTB, it doesn't matter.

She does a few, very few, bits of media, and her book sells out. She has draw power. Drawing power is a nice thing. Very nice, unless you feel threatened by that ... (the drawing power, or the non-controversy.)

The only real reason to be rid of someone like that is if their writing sucked (or, because she said she wrote a bible, and YOU are the one that is supposed to write the bible ... [not a specific comment, just general], or she inadvertently damaged someone's ego who was too important. (The last is not uncommon for people who come from another culture and, even if they know the US and english perfectly, sometimes stumble in a real-life trip-over a freak-y ego.)

If they thoght her bible sucked and her writing sucked, we would have unofficially heard by now.

ETA: Viewed in another light, just for Ryan Chandler: This whole saga can be read as a tale that tells us more about ourselves and our fellow citizens than it does about [s.W.S.N.B.N.].

(But I still recommend Diet [s.W.S.N.B.N.] for those that feel overstimulated! :-0 )

Wow-wee. Why doesn't somebody at NBC think of that? She certainly couldn't hurt the show and any show that hires her will get instant free publicity. PASSIONS could use some national publicity.

No, she did not have an affair with Osama bin Laden. She was a prisoner for 6 months and had to have sex with him because she was affarid for her life. This came from her own mouth at the 1 h long interview at wost.org.
