  1. Yeah I was looking for a way to report the post because it keeps flashing the thread.
  2. Not all Nazi's do. Take a look at this tough guy/now whiney *itch. They are tough carrying around guns talking tough. One on one boo hoo they melt like butter So all heads of the various branches of the armed forces have broken with the Fuhrer http://www.politicususa.com/2017/08/16/entire-military-openly-broken-trump-denounced-racism.html
  3. I will repeat something Chris Kennedy said at a townhall he conducted at a few weeks ago. Imagine a more competent version of Donald Trump in office. Someone like for example an Adolf Hitlet who knew how to work the system and how to at least for a period of time, get things done. Perhaps that higher being sent Trump here to rip the bandaid off and show us all what still exists. I laugh honestly at the GOP outrrage when they have fueled this flame KNOWINGLY for 40 years. Those ignorant to history who keep talking about Robert Byrd or how the democrats founded the KKK much be ignorant to what happened to the democrats and GOP once Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act and want to pretend like the rest of us are as ignorant as they are. Like most of us don't know that Byrd actually repented unlike the man in the White House who still wants 5 innocent black men executed for a rape they didn't commit. Lyndon Johnson was wrong and right about 2 things. Wrong about the democrats losing the south for a generation after he signed the Civil Rights Act. It's been 2. Right about that you can go up to a white man and pick his pocket outright as long as you tell him he's better than a black person.
  4. 'This is as relevant today maybe even more so as many believe because of President Obama this country has moved past this. I know people like this, some in my own family. http://crookedtimber.org/2013/01/21/the-white-moderate-the-greatest-threat-to-freedom/
  5. I think there are people in the White House perhaps including Kelly who knew exactly what Trump was going to do. Maddow showed the fact he had prepared talking points in his pocket he used. Doubtful he prepared them. So all these denials from within the WH may very well be BS.
  6. Notice Trump has NEVER mentioned his mother ever.
  7. Have you looked at the southern senators? Sessions, Corbyn. Graham? Let's not pretend we don't know who these people are. The house and senate in Illinois have both passed this. Unanimously by the way.
  8. Oh it's been noticed.
  9. So I don't know when these folks left. Maybe before today. Mark Fields of Ford, Klaus Kleinfeld, Arconic, and Mario Longhi, US Steel are no longer on the council
  10. FBI and DHS warned about Nazi uprising months ago and they did - nada. And now one woman is dead as a result. Actually more if you look at the hate crimes over the past several months. http://foreignpolicy.com/2017/08/14/fbi-and-dhs-warned-of-growing-threat-from-white-supremacists-months-ago/
  11. 20 or 21. I think it started out with 25. Musk remember left after the Paris Climate Accord announcement. Today 3 left.
  12. And yet another one
  13. I know it's childish and illegal but I have to admit I enjoyed seeing this along with the fact it was mostly millennials doing this and people of all colors and genders coming together kicking the broken statue.
  14. Yep. People especially the media need to stop. I read Mark Warner (the senator) saying his statement was presidential. Stop giving this man credit for doing the basics and showing basic decency and compassion. It's not him. People need to stop pretending who and what this man is or pretending he is going to pivot and look elsewhere for leadership. There are good decent leaders in this country and elsewhere.
  15. Oh these same people sit in church every week saying the words but not hearing what they are saying.
  16. I don't think that represents the percentage of white supremacists(if we define them as those tiiki carrying nutcases) but there are a hell of a lot of white people willing to turn away and ignore it because it doesn't impact them. Well as I typed this I realize, that in itself is a form of supremacy - or should I say white privilege. Oy
  17. I agree with Marceline. People and particularly the MSM need to knock it off and stop expecting this man to behave like a human being with empathy and compassion. It doesn't exist in him and he looks like a fool when he tries.
  18. i wonder if we'll see more of this. As a former female employee of corporate America and the tech industry, I'm not a fan of certain segments of our business community but I do wonder how widespread this might become. Texas last week in their House just scuttled the bathroom bill the fringe right was pushing. Why? Because Texas with their no/low corporate taxes is now the home to several large corporations who pushed against this legislation. Why? I'll say it's not due to their own ideology but because these companies have attracted young diverse educated workers who have come to Texas to work for them and they don't want to lose them. Say what you want about the ideology of millennials and their lack of interest in voting at times, but this kind of legislation is a non starter for most of them. A pharmaceutical company likely has a lot of young educated sales and marketing personnel and educated STEM employees who likely are taken aback by the lack of pushback to the KKK, Nazi's, and White Supremacy by the old white guard. I guess we'll see.
  19. Wow. Tiki puts out a stmt while orange crunch keeps both siding it with his Nazi White Terrorists.
  20. ^^ I can't imagine how Ms. Bro feels but what wonderful uplifting thoughts of her daughter and said with such grace and poise after her loss. Heather sounds like an incredibly special person. I hope when that monument comes down they do something to honor her and the others who were there standing against oppression and bigotry.
  21. What a liar this man is. His daddy was arrested at a KKK rally he was participating in yet Donnie dumbo has no idea who they are?
  22. JThat idiot above is protected by the police while this kid is beaten in a garage right next to the police dept by Supremacists and no cops around http://www.theroot.com/interview-20-year-old-deandre-harris-speaks-out-about-1797796038
  23. Condaleeza Rice said the same thing and I was perplexed. Monuments to traitors to the United States is not destroying history. And as most of these monuments were not even erected during that time and were erected to demonstrate some twisted form of superiiority, no clue. There is something to be said for preserving some of our darker history as a reminder. Parts of Aushwitz is still there intentionally and can be seen. But what is the equivalent here? I am sure there are plantations that can be toured where slave quarters are still in tact as a painful reminder. Leaving a monument up to Robert E Lee would be the equivalent of a monument to people like Field Marshall Romel or Goring. Why? And seriously all this glory to the confederacy. Are there many Germans around today praising what the Germans did to the Jews and other "non arians" during the 30's and 40's, because of how "great" the German economy was at the time? This is why reconstruction was really such a mess. The people from the south at the time were never made to see the evils of slavery and treating people worse than animals. I'll never understand how enslaving and killing people in your past is something worth embracing These same people also think Jackson was a great president and he committed mass genocide.
  24. Hopefully this terrorist attack escalates the removal of these so called monuments Joy Reid made a good point this morning on her show when one of her panelists mentioned removing these is destroying history. Most of these monuments were put up at the height of Jim Crow or when the Civil Rights and Voting Rights acts were passed as a stmt of their own so called "superiority" not during the civil war.
