  1. Well, we're just discussing a theoretical. And that's harmless. Me, I would support those cuts to give a big deal return like Brenda would be. When was the wedding? I'll look up the numbers.
  2. Well, I think we know there are lapsed fans who would tune in just to see Brenda in Port Charles again. Now that wouldn't mean they'd tune in again the next Brenda-less week. No, they'd go right back to lapsing. But, "The Return of Brenda" would give them something to promote like nothing else could! Errol Lewis of SON says that most of these superstars from the past expect a big fee, so if that's so they may be pricing themselves right out of the market. When they were regulars soaps didn't operate on hardship budgets. So their expectations may be too rich for today.
  3. I get why it's easy to just slap a meaningful number on the end but personally I wish you'd done something like Mitch-WOW or if you were feeling humble, then, Mitch-Okay.
  4. Wait. Just for clarification. You detested Tom Pelphrey? Is there a canonical list of all the GL characters you couldn't stand? Buzz, Harley, all other Coopers, Dusay's Alex, TP's Jonathan, it's a start.
  5. Oh, no, I don't think the show is seeking her, either. I was simply looking at it from the other direction.
  6. 1973-75 Bill Bell continued to write story thrusts which were executed by PFS. BTW, this is the date that is in the book Michael Maloney wrote with Lee. Maloney, M., & Bell, L. P. (2012). The young and Restless Life 0f William J. Bell. Sourcebooks, Inc. I am re-reading it right now.
  7. I suppose we are all in agreement that if she wanted to be, she would, right?
  8. I also liked the montage. Plus, the scenes with #Sprina were of the best kind. The idea of taking Taby offscreen while NAC is making Ryan Murphy's movie is a great idea! AND! Heather & Esme, yes, indeed, I was pleased, very very pleased. With Heather Esme could admit what we've seen.
  9. Tomorrow, 12-31-23, last day of the year, is the anniversary, or as I say, Endiversary, for a grand total of 6 soaps! And, you are hardly going to be able to believe it but they were all on NBC. In 1954, A Time to Live and Three Steps to Heaven. In 1976 the AW spin-off Somerset. In 1982, the other AW spin-off Texas & NBC's first hit The Doctors. Finally in 1999 & as the end of Susan D. Lee's ignominious career, Sunset Beach.
  10. Yesterday, Lois was amazing! I completely was in thrall with the way they had her put 2 & 2 & another 2 all together & then come out with the absolute truth! Juxtaposed with Cyrus revealing himself as the pseudo-priest who heard Nina's confession, such as it was. Very excited that Lois is going to drop the veritable dime on Nina, to Sonny! Excellent year-end cliffhanger!
  11. I so totally agree! Only soap fans can come up with this convoluting a rationalization! But, it works!!
  12. New Year coming! Here's 2 things I would like to see happen: First I'd like to see P&G sell all of their warehoused tapes of soaps to some streaming service. Beginning in 1979, AW, ATWT, GL, EON, SFT, Texas, SOM, & FRFP! Next, Disney, they own tapes in storage for AMC, OLTL, Loving, Ryan's Hope, Santa Barbara, Port Charles, The City, & GH: Night Shift & I'd like to see them offer all of these classic soaps on Disney+!
  13. One of her first day was with Sonny & I remember it as being a good experience but they haven't had them reconnect since that first time. As you say, they've just had her stuck in the Q kitchen.
  14. But, of course, it was a very famous studio. Down in the sub-basement there was even Esther Williams' swimming pool.
  15. Well, we know automatically that that is true because everything she pitched was shot down. When they don't want the writer to write anything they have in mind, there's clearly that kind of disagreement, in approach. And this happens a lot more than one might think. And I know that it is true & accurate because of where I got it.
  16. I so totally loved Billy Kay! Hated losing him.
  17. How long did Rhonda Lewin go before her face was seen on AW?
  18. Here's a screenshot off his FB page. (We're FB friends.)
  19. With or without doggies? 🐕ðŸĐðŸĶŪ🐕‍ðŸĶšðŸŒ
  20. Have I mentioned that I have purple hair? ðŸĪŠðŸ‘Œ
  21. The best rejoinder here would be, "I'm sorry you're an $$$hole!" ... Right?
  22. Linda Dano on the street & runs into Schnetzer.mp4 Just found this. I got a new computer & set about doing file transfer & kept falling through rabbit holes, ... anyway, this video is a kick. It is untold ages old.
  23. What I have for her ... 1982 Texas, 1983 Secretary to Paul Rauch, continuing in 1983 GL, 1984 GL, 1984-85 AW, 1986 still AW until 1991, etc. So, I concur with her starting at AW in 1984. I keep thinking about doing a Q&A with her. Just yesterday in UglyX she was pointing out a movie where Andy Rooney stereotypically played an Asian offensively.
