  1. Did y'all see this? Is this unprecedented? https://x.com/nathanvarni/status/1885181288963055874?t=nOZY3B85UGP5zG2lcxKQjQ&s=19
  2. I hope someone knows. I do not. Here's the Soap Central Character Bio for Barbara Norris, but it isn't clear to me. https://www.soapcentral.com/guiding-light/whoswho/barbara.php I asked AI & it said Yes, wealthy & came from wealth, but you know I don't put a lot of faith in AI's soap knowledge.
  3. Have y'all seen "Tomorrow 1975 Looks at Soap Operas" the very late night talk show Tom Snyder hosted on NBC for years & this one night when he did a serious look at the soaps at that time with guests Mary Stuart, Joe Stuart, Agnes Nixon & a woman who ran a very early recapping service? (I have it at my usual video hosting site if anyone has not.)
  4. Here's a still of her with early Ed to tide you over till video (we hope) shows up. It's such a good picture of both of them!!
  5. Good to know & I'm glad they both spoke up about it. Judy was new to me but I've loved Francesca forever & her anecdote about Agnes calling her & saying the mail had been crazy ever since they killed her off & she was in the process of writing her a twin to bring her back was a huge favorite to me! Also good to know. I just don't think remembering these kinds of factoids is Lucci's strong suit. She can't go wrong with anecdotes of real people she's been involved with in her reel life & she should really stick to them!! I loved the special. An hour was way too short. Didn't & don't care for Andy. I'd have reached back & tapped Rosie O'Donnell to host that. I was so glad they released it on YT. A friend was there & had told me they, as usual, banned the audience members from taping it in any way. And, I just really appreciate that they did it!
  6. How great that they've done this & done it as fast as they have! And, as always, thanks for posting about it. @MaximA musical creator/performer gone way too soon.
  7. Sure, we know that what you're describing is common practice in casting circles. I totally appreciate & get what Francesca James was adding into the mix. I just found Judy's statement to be more comprehensive & so cover more territory in terms of both casting practices & the frustrations that both she & Francesca were bringing into the light.
  8. And new information suggests that she wrote another mother/daughter pair for The Brighter Day but the show was canceled so they never existed except on the page. Our loss. Her book, OY, on the one hand it is so wonderful. On the other hand, it is so riddled with errors. And, those of us who were hungry for her to talk about raven-haired troublesome daughters with put upon mothers were definitely SOL!!!
  9. @ErrolI'm just so sorry that this has caused you the angst & pain it obviously has. I find I don't have a lot of words to add but know that here is empathy.
  10. I'm pretty sure that it has been known all along ever since Rena came back to GH that there was an absolute ban on ANY romance between her & Wally Kurth, so I'm afraid that trips up that one item in your predictions for today. Sorry to burst that bubble if you weren't aware.
  11. "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude." - Maya Angelou
  12. I believe that it was Marlena first enjoying "drag race" with him & maybe consuming "pork rinds" but that later Hattie did same. I'm not sure if that is odd or confusing or both.
  13. Of course it was Douglas Marland. Certainly I knew that. I have no idea why my wayward fingers typed Mulcahey. One of life's lovely OOPS. Thanks. I was unaware of all of this information & am thoroughly enjoying reading this. And I have & love that book. And, I have read or heard multiple accounts of Agnes's red penciling even the final drafts of scripts written by valued colleagues. Thank you for posting this!
  14. Oh, yes, both to loving & enjoying her but not to relying on her for certain information. It was only 2 years ago that she said Agnes wrote Ryan's Hope. And now we have these bits to add.
  15. I would doubt this claim. I think both humor & glamour had shown up in shows before AMC. Both of these numbers look high to me. She was talking about the character Jeffrey Carlson played & I don't think it was early. Linda Gray played the first transgender character on ALL THAT GLITTERS 1976 & then THE CITY had Azure C in the 90s. I'm sure the Casting Director's statement trumps Francesca James's. I can imagine that is actually the way they made their casting decisions but how cumbersome.
  16. 🤔🙄😉🤣🤣🤣🤣 Could hardly be false. Pretty safe statement.
  17. Just brought it up because, well, why not, and also why not be aware of as many resources, especially free, that exist.
  18. Also laughing at the German spa & hotel set. Leave Diane alone. Just kidding!
  19. A Canadian fan put the whole show up on Dailymotion. I wondered why they didn't do that in the summer. You know Gio outside practicing but it's sweltering hot ... you get the rest.
  20. The rest of the show, after the preemption, Lois & BLQ - more of the same, Brook Lynn is leaning toward confessing to Chase. Dante & Chase - Dante thanks Chase, for today & in general, then tries to get Chase to talk. Chase says when he's ready to talk, he will. Davis women - talk about shielding Scout & playing it by ear with Danny. Jack - You're a good person. Carly - I could show a boatload of people who would disagree. Jack - They're just wrong. ... Carly - You're one who has done so many things for me with nothing in it for you. Jack - That's not true. There's always been something in it for me. I've been fighting it for a long while. Carly - And now? Jack - I'm all out of fight Carly - That's funny. Me, too. They kiss.
