Funniest line all week here, although we're not particularly saying fun or funny things, still ... a serious chuckle!!! You always have the option of ignoring what automatically pops up in the quoting business the software does by typing in who you want to "send to". You just type the @ symbol before their username & if it works right a list of possible usernames pops up for you to choose from. I'm often amazed at how different interfaces are when on my computer, compared to my phone, compared to my kindle/fire tablet. And, I vastly prefer my computer but it doesn't fit in my purse. Well, as far as I am aware, fans have talked about this, often, a lot & from pretty early on, so some version of it got told long before online was considered social media. I often see people bemoan the fact that we didn't have social media in the good ole days but we did have Compuserve, Usenet, AOL, Prodigy, Delphi, GEnie, WOST & NVN and then a horde of standalone web message boards. I get it that it's not the same thing but they were vehicles where fans could talk to other fans.

Of course, you say tone to me about written communication & that's an immediate red flag to me. I floated what I thought was a brilliant character for her to play, a hitperson set to take out 2 persons - Natalia & Drew. This, of course, was while Natalia was still alive. I don't know if you know it or not but I am a huge Laura Wright fan. I loved her as Cassie on Guiding Light. I love her now as Carly on General Hospital. She is the 4th Carly & I also love Sarah Joy Brown & Tamara Braun. In November Laura will celebrate 20 years as Carly, many more years than anyone else. Yesterday she was on State of Mind, not for the first time. I have never seen anyone on Mo's little show, State of Mind, talk as much about soaps as she & he did yesterday. It was frankly glorious. She told in some detail the story of her leaving Guiding Light, which she dearly loved, to go to General Hospital. To me the story was quite amazing. At first she turned GH down. Then she went to GL & told them she was staying & told them what she wanted & every single thing she asked for they said NO. She was quite perplexed. Being cognizant that GL might be canceled she asked to be under contract to P&G not GL so if the worst happened she could segue right to ATWT, which she was a fan of. So, she called Jill & said she'd changed her mind & would be coming there after all. Jill asked her what Ellen said. She said I haven't told her yet. Jill said, hang up the phone, call Ellen, then call me back. She did so. The conversation was very brief. Immediately Ellen had to go, got off the phone. Laura called Jill. 4 hours later, Ellen called back. Now I can talk. Earlier I had to put things into the works because we have to have recast Cassie & time is slipping away but now I have time & I want to tell you how happy I am for you. Carly, do you think you can do this? Laura replied: I know I can knock it out of the park. Ellen was so glad. Laura says that everyone at GL was the exact same way. Her last day at the set she cried & people just held her or they cried with her. Absof*ckinglutely amazing story!!!

I did not care for Babe AT ALL, either. I just love her as Lulu. Babe has nothing to do with Port Charles, thank god. I couldn't stand Babe's mama either. I have blocked out her name.

I thought this was by far the best Nurses Ball GH has thrown literally in years. And, I have really enjoyed the fact that the show just keeps on keeping on since those reveals. The pace is ... I guess very fast but very heavy duty dramatic & with emotions running so high. I'm almost afraid to say it but I feel like they're showing stakes.

This is largely more of Soap Twitter nonsense. Scott posted about a year ago that he was outta there, the kind of post he periodically he makes. Then he let it be known that the show tried to get him to work & he declined all offers. Now the actor who plays Kai was assigned his old dressing room & he threw a mini-fit on Soap Twitter. Most people ignore him. If indeed he had a health crisis I wish him nothing but good health coming at him. Meanwhile you cannot count on what he posts. You just have to wait & see. He's like the star in SOAPDISH & Soap Twitter is the mall in NJ.

Okay, so I'm not sure I know the chronology but she is said to have written the bible for AMC at one point & to have shown it to someone at either P&G or NBC, but I think NBC. And, then, she 'put it in a drawer' and time passed & only later, did she take it out & give it another try. IIRC from her book she even says that her husband Bob urged her to take it out & give it another shot. Was Phoebe an original character? I'm thinking that she was.
