  1. Poor Finder of Lost Loves. It actually did as well as it could under the circumstances, but Love Boat was dying at this point. It was very formulatic though - this, Glitter, Love Boat and Hotel pretty much followed the same formula. The Aaron Spelling shine had definitively worn off by the next season, so I'm not surprised they nixed the Mr & Mrs Ryan pilot.
  2. My first thought was the bisexual storyline in 2x04 (aired October 24th, 1984). Otherwise since it has Gary Coleman dressed like Indiana Jones it would probably be around Halloween. Maybe they had a good slate of guest stars in the November sweeps?
  3. I mean, it was in development for NBC, then got moved over to Peacock and then sidelined when Law & Order: Organized Crime happened. I guess with the current administration they wouldn't revive the idea, but it's certainly something Dick Wolf has already pitched.
  4. Maybe we'll finally get Law & Order: Hate Crimes now.
  5. I finally sat down and watched the pilot of Berrenger's and it's fairly easy to see why it failed. Just like Paper Dolls, there's simply too many characters and it feels like stepping into a soap circa season 3. Ultimately, I think trying to do the upstairs, downstairs thing doesn't really work when there's a lack of natural interactions in their home environment - the same with Paper Dolls, it just ends up feeling like two different shows rolled into one. I think it would've been a better idea to pick a focus (either the wealthy Berrenger's or the people on the floor) and then expand. I will say though I did love Anita Morris's character Barbara the moment she stepped onto the scene - she really deserved bigger roles! I do wonder though if we'll ever get the final two episodes, as I've only ever seen the first ten episodes circulated. By the way, is this a young Michael Michele (8 minutes into the pilot)? It's just a non-speaking extra part, so it explains why it wouldn't be listed on her IMDB page.
  6. Honestly, if they're that far ahead then they could use a bit of a production break so they don't end up in a Days of our Lives situation. Soaps shouldn't be more than three months ahead, but preferably more like two months.
  7. TMZHeather Locklear & Lorenzo Lamas Are Dating: Check Out Fi...No, it's not 1992 ... but Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas are in the throes of a '90s reunion that's turned romantic, dating secretly for months, and TMZ has pics of them all loved up in Las Vegas.
  8. Falcon Crest's height was pretty much from the moment Ana Alicia appears as Melissa to about half-way through season 4 when they suddenly got cold feet about the nazi storyline. Nixing that storyline just destabilized the show and obviously from there on it seemed like CBS couldn't stop tinkering with it, probably thinking they were doing so in order for it to retain more of Dallas's audience. I can't help to wonder if Falcon Crest wouldn't have been better off moving to a new night circa season 3. It probably wouldn't have put up the impressive numbers it did post-Dallas, but I could see it being a nice mid-level performer. Maybe it wouldn't have gone on until season 9, but on the other hand I could've seen it being able to chug along and end on its own terms without the pressure to retain Dallas's massive audience.
  9. Jaclyn, Shelley and Tanya did Love Boat. Tanya also did Vega$ and Fantasy Island. I'm surprised none of them turned up on his 90s shows since he did love casting veterans in "parents" roles. Maybe they were offered but not interested - seems to me the OG trio and Cheryl were done with doing Spelling productions post-Charlie's Angels.
  10. Old wigs!? 🤪 But seriously, nice to hear them get along.
  11. Maybe Kate's chilled a bit now that Farrah's gone?
  12. Just as a side note, the channel was previously @LiquidSoapTV and the last capture on Archive dot org was on February 26th:' https://web.archive.org/web/20260226190736/https://www.youtube.com/@LiquidSoapTV So this at least confirms that this is a recent change and not something that happened a year ago and they forgot about it.
  13. Honestly, I think it's down to Heather - for all her personal troubles - is pretty chill and doesn't have a huge ego. Despite a lot of promotion focusing on her, Amanda actually took the back seat a lot, especially in the first three seasons. Add that people like Darren Star complemented her ability to leave whatever [!@#$%^&*] was going on in her life at the door and just be professional on set.
  14. I don't think it's entirely random - season 58 is likely the latest season where Peacock's license has run out, season 52 is literally a decade ago (ugh...) and season 30 contains one of the most notorious storylines the show has had. I hope they'll start adding season 1 at one point, but considering the work that went into The Doctors to transfer the episodes it might be a while.
  15. Eh, to be fair for better or worse it is one of the shows most notorious storylines and have even gotten new momentum with the Ryan Gosling story. It makes sense, plus the older seasons might need more cleaning up before being able to put them out digitally. As long as they get going on building an online archive of their past seasons, I'll be happy.
  16. That makes sense since they shot material for several episodes in one go (think how DAYS does it) and they probably did leave a lot to the editing process. Even in these later telenovelas I've noticed the episode lengths are a bit over the place, ranging from ~37 minutes to ~42 minutes. Add in that the beginning recap can be up to five minutes long and an opening sequence and you end up with sometimes barely 30 minutes of actual material in the episode! Not that I mind since it makes a quick watch, but it does show inexperience of those involved in producing the shows. This also wasn't in the streaming age, so most networks had a pretty set standard on how long an episode would be, but I guess they had wrapped the production before editing the material and being cheap productions they couldn't very well call actors back to film "filler" scenes.
  17. I think as other people have mentioned that I get the vibe that she was going to be JR's daughter via rape, explaining why Val and Gary ran off. Obviously, once JR got more and more popular they probably shied away from it.
  18. I've been geekily checking this a few times more than I'd like to admit. Maybe @Errol could try and verify if this is a real plan in the pipeline or not?
  19. I don't think so - ratingswise Knots was pretty stable during season 12. It was really season 13 that killed it. I think it ending up at #10 had more to do with major shows having reruns that week. It just shows you how little room these soaps had to have a bad season.
  20. Oh that's interesting. I've never watched AMC, but It'll admit I've been tempted.
  21. I wouldn't mind a new role tbh. Or some obscure Horton that we've never/rarely heard about.
  22. I suspect she was initially cast because she was so tiny as it provided a good juxtaposition between Lucy and the "adults" at Southfork. It became a bit obvious once they moved her into "adult" storylines.
  23. Is Sal Stowers returning? Elia was basically her "replacement", so it would make sense to lift her off contract as they might not feel they need two characters largely playing the same role.
