  1. Dear God. RIP, Alec. I remember watching him on I Wanna Be A Soap Star and just enjoying him. While they underutilized him as Del on AMC, he did have a presence onscreen. I hate seeing our stars drop like flies.
  2. @Paul Raven, the only set (of the homes) that I can remember from those pics is the one with the fireplace, which I think was the Jessup farm where Cassie lived. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong. I don't remember the other two home sets in the Wheeler/Peapack years at all. Sad because they look a helluva lot better than what we got in the later years. I LOATHED that Main Street set. I want to sob thinking about how many of the characters sat on those purple benches giving dialogue and being limited to that street set. Ugh. The Cedars set makes me weep too. Question--wasn't the late 70s/early 80s Cedars set that greenish color? If so, were they trying to recapture that? I always felt they took the word "cedar" to literal with the hospital set. So much that it looked cheap like plywood and green paint. I always felt the Cedars set should've been one of the best looking sets on GL as it was the epicenter of so much the show's most memorable stories. This episode popped up on my suggestions and while it was enjoyable, it was hard to see certain characters act certain ways. Seeing Mindy basically stalk Phillip was odd. And then to watch her literally beg him to hang around when he already promised to meet up with her later was weird too. It got to the point where I was expecting her to drop to her knees and beg him to stay. I am glad that in later years they instilled confidence in Mindy. Alan was an a** to poor Hope. It was hard watching him be cruel to her when I've seen clips of Alan being so loving and gentle with Hope. It was like they were writing Alan to treat Hope like he treated Elizabeth prior years. And Alan thinking he was going to get into the political field after being involved in all the Roger stuff previous years is an odd writing choice. In this current political climate (after 4 years of Trump), I could buy it. Back then? Not so much. But it is painfully obvious in this episode that the writers even feel like Hope is a nag. I think we all feel that Hope was one character that should've remained on the show until the bitter end. Question--with Annabelle, wasn't her mother killed when she was young? Hence why they did that unfavorable story saying Bill, HB, Tom, Henry, and Brandon went on that boating trip and met Annabelle's mom, who died on the lake (and why her dad targeted many citizens in Springfield)? I am assuming in this episode that she was lying when the line was dropped in their that her mom past recently. Just wondering... Now noticing it, Annabelle's stories seem to have always revised GL's prior history. I remember when I used to post WAY back when on SOC and old fans reminisced about this story and were not thrilled because they stated it was farfetched as HB and Henry never gave any inkling of knowing anyone or having lived in Springfield prior. Then the Susan Piper story where Brandon had faked his death and was living in Barbados. But I guess with all the other stories being endearing at the time, it was easy to overlook these hiccups. Sorry for the tangent, y'all.
  3. Just tragic. Yet another daytime great we've lost. We (as fans) have been losing our soap opera pillars so much as of late that it is heartbreaking. RIP, Bill. Thank you for the years of entertainment as Doug on DAYS. Sending love and good energy to Susan during this time. I really hope DAYS goes all out for Bill and brings back all the proper characters to bid him farewell.
  4. Her and Nneka (RHOP) have to be the worst newbies in a long time. Never have I seen a woman hope on a show and eagerly spend her time focusing on someone else's health. Doing all that bidding for Kyle and she'll never be heard again after this season. Dummy. And speaking of dummies, Larsa on WWHL doubling down on not being apologetic about revealing Guerdy's cancer diagnosis is some of the worst acts I've ever seen. She's another one that needs to go.
  5. IKR! I am so thrilled to see what a new production team will do.
  6. Thank God! May RHOA and RHOP be restored to some sanity. Obviously, it is not yours b/c had you read, the definition you posted simply confirmed what I just stated. Nice try though.
  7. Minorities can be prejudice, not racist. Racism requires power in the structure, which White people established and still possess. Minorities have no power in the structure that your ancestor established. Google is your friend...
  8. Monica lying (or embellishing) is nothing new to me at this point. All these women on all these shows lie. Why should she be the exception? I just find her to be entertaining how she makes these women squirm. And Meredith can't take a moral high ground as she was pro-Jen last year. Same with Heather. Same with Lisa back in season 1. Same with Whitney back in season 2. Mary is the only consistent woman of the current bunch that never bought what Jen was selling. I think at the end of the day, Bravo loves Monica like they loved Phaedra. Or Brandi. Or Kelly Dodd. Or Kelly Bensimon. Or Trailer Sue. Or Leanne. Or Mia. They love chaotic housewives that'll bring about drama and lie. Again, I just enjoy Monica b/c she has these women reeling when they are well-known liars too. Especially, Heather, who had no issue with latching onto Jen b/c she knew Jen was gonna be a polarizing star on the show.
  9. Monica OWNED that reunion. It cracked me up how she gathered these women at ease. I gotta tip my hat to Meredith and Whitney as they sat back and allowed the other sofa to catch all of Monica's wrath. Angie K. is cringe to me. Benchwarmer was the perfect way to define her role. She is literally warming the bench until Bravo finds someone better to fill that slot. I cannot wait for Mary to dig into her next week. Heather busting out recordings was weird. At the end of the day, your hair stylist is immersed in the blog too. The hypocrisy in this group is astounding. And Angie K. saying that Meredith got activated thanks to her was such a dumb comment. Meredith has been the hardest working cast member outside of Mary and Jen, who carried previous seasons. Meredith is always in the mix. That should've been directed to a Whitney or Heather--two people who have gotten a free ride thus far. I don't care about Lisa's ring. I don't think Monica took the ring at all as it'd be traced back to her by now. Moral of the story, don't take jewelry that expensive on a trip. That was dumb on Lisa's part. And these women don't like each other. They only united b/c Monica became the start; however, it was painfully apparent that many of these women loathe each other in the packages that didn't pertain to Monica. Whitney & Lisa still have hatred toward each other. Meredith & Angie don't get along. Lisa took mini, subtle shots at Meredith at times. Yeah. Bring Monica back as she's the one person that'll force these ladies to be truthful.
  10. M2M needs to be cautious b/c they are veering into the territory of NJ and Potomac--where majority of the cast loathe each other and can't stand to work together.
  11. OK. I thought it was just me that always felt that. I always felt that Deas gave vibes he didn't want to be there. I do think that he would've been great on a Broadway stage though.
  12. Why am I just noticing that the EE anniversary book I bought a few years back through Amazon was signed by the late Wendy Richard?!!!
  13. To go to sleep early and wake up to this news...🥴 Yikes. As you all have pointed out, Kelly doesn't even look happy by his return and who can blame her?! Sam was stuck in the mob rut for decades and she's finally managed to get the stench off of her in recent years with Dante. I imagine she is not thrilled to know that Sam will revert to Jason's sidekick/mob moll again. I say put him with Becky (Liz) at this point. She might be eager to work with Steve at this point, and it'll save her from that dreadful pairing with Michael Easton's character, who needs to go now. Everything aside, it will always boggle my mind how this show allows the unholy trio (Sonny/Carly/Jason) to still have a stronghold on it when the fandom keeps rejecting anything pertaining to them. If anything, the 60th anniversary should've been a reset for this show--for them to truly start focusing on the hospital again. It always unnerved me how ABC has Grey's Anatomy sitting right there (and it is thriving), but they have not taken that model and implemented a bastardized, daytime version to GH.
  14. Monica infiltrating this group and being a rendition of SLC's Gossip Girl is ingenious. You can't fault the girl for it. I do find it hypocritical for these women to be mad that Monica is a blogger as if all these women on all these shows don't leak info to the bloggers. Monica is just making a coin for it. I don't think Monica will be fired. The audience is too firmly behind her. She single-handedly revived SLC, which was on life support after last season. I think she'll be able to weasel her way back into the fold come next season via Mary and later Whitney. One thing about Whitney, she's no idiot. She needs this show for additional income and Monica not returning would cause ratings to plummet. They'll be ice cold to Monica initially, but the anger will thaw over time. The only ones I see remaining peeved would be Lisa and Heather, who I am ready for in an official takedown season of them.
  15. That Brad promo was weird... "You have the most beautiful hair, Dee." 🥴 Yeah. That just further confirms what many fans watching at that time stated--that Brad was a creep.
  16. No one really pities Lisa at this point. The majority of the fandom loathes Lenny, but Lisa is a dolt to many. And how she treats Jody, she is bound to be on her own again. Lisa is showing how self-centered she truly is this season.
  17. I agree with the mass that Ben needs to be retired after this upcoming departure. I'd prefer to give the character a LONG rest--as in about a decade. They had Ben doing too much in so little time.
  18. @Soaplovers, you'd love watching Larsa on Miami for the simple fact that she has been getting rightfully dragged by the women this year. That alone should get you to watch. @Antoyne, SLC is good this year because as @Cat pointed out--Monica. Monica is filling the void Jen left and Mary coming back has helped too; however, I feel like SLC will end up in a slump next season because the women have banned together and are trying to ice Monica out for future seasons. I keep saying Bravo needs to implement a policy where anyone who tries to do this gets fined the first time and fired the next time.
  19. Yaaasss, @Cat! I knew we'd see eye to eye when it came to Miami. We truly need some of y'all on here to start watching Miami. It is the one show in the entire franchise that possesses heart at its core. I think even though the women might not like each other at times, they know what is at stake (a cancellation notice). They've been there and don't want to experience it again. But yes, put the show back on Peacock. It was Peacock's most watched show, and they took good care of Miami.
  20. I keep forgetting that Jo keeps booking stuff with Netflix. Yeah, if I were her, I wouldn't look back right now if I am landing stuff with Netflix. I cannot go another round of Max pining after Stacey. That ship has sailed a long time ago. And you will probably love Jake's IG. He's giving you a lot of thirst material with him in the gym: https://www.instagram.com/mrjakewood/ SN: I didn't know he was anti-royal too. I've always wondered how truly popular it is amongst the Brits. I know Northern Ireland has utter disdain for them. But that's another topic and thread. I don't think they'll ever be able to top Den and Angie's Xmas episode. It was just plotted so well. Maybe it is because I am American, and when I think of Xmas soap episodes, my mind always drifts to the P&G soaps--filled with family, warmth, hope, and minimal drama.
  21. Honestly, has EE ever had an Xmas episode that wasn't doom and gloom? I am asking for the long-term fans. I've watched the show on and off since about '02 (when they'd show episodes on PBS in my area and later on YT). But I don't think I've ever read of the show having a simplistic Christmas that was family-oriented with little family drama. @MichaelGL would Jake Wood even consider coming back? He seems happy outside the show and refining his sexy with all those thirst pics he posts on Instagram. 😂 But now thinking about it, bringing Lauren back does make sense for a later return for him. I just hope that if he does return Max isn't once again wasted on Linda. Or Stacey. Or Kat. Or Sharon. Just bring him back with a new woman if anything. I'd even be OK if he came back with Tanya.
  22. I'd say Daniel Cosgrove and Brian Gaskill are soap killers. When they pop up, the show is on its last wheels. And they both have been on all the same shows minus Port Charles. Someone on set better light some sage and smudge the building.
  23. BEST RETURN: Mary Cosby, SLC : Even though Mary shot very few scenes, she provided a lot in those few scenes. She and Monica carried SLC this year. WORST RETURN: Denise Richards, BH. Even though she was a guest star, Denise fumbled HARD in her return. BEST FRIEND OF: Adriana DeMoura and Kiki Barth, Miami. Two women who truly deserve to have a mojito in future seasons but are totally fine as friends (for now). Adriana stirs the pot like no other and provides ample drama. Meanwhile, Kiki is naturally hilarious. BEST EXIT (Tie): Lisa Rinna, BH: Never have I been glad to see someone's backside. I hope she never darkens the doorstep of this show again. Goodbye and good riddence. BEST NEWCOMER: Monica, SLC. Monica is saving this show. She is the force multiplier that this show needed. Her personal life is a mess. Her relationships with the women is a mess. How Bravo just stumbled upon her is boggling. Monica should've been cast back in season 2 when they cast Jennie Nguyen instead. WORST NEWCOMER: Nneka Ihim, Potomac. I just find her beef with Wendy to be xenophobic and downright dangerous. People get killed for allegedly practicing voodoo or witchcraft in many African nations. I just don't think this is cute at all. MOST CRINGEWORTHY MOMENT: Denise v. Erika, BH. Never have I ever seen someone fumble so hard in my life. Denise has the right to be mad at Erika as Erika did turn on her for Rinna; however, Denise being drunk and not being able to string a coherent thought together was hard to watch. And then she had a second shot to decimate Erika and flopped again. It was like watching Lucy pull the football from Charlie Brown repeatedly. And it didn't help that Erika TKO'd her with the OnlyFans line about her daughter. Denise needs to just give it up. Thank you for your services. BEST FEUD: Sutton v. Kyle, BH. I love that Sutton is making Kyle work for that center diamond. You wanna be the HBIC? Guess what. You gotta work for it this year. This is the first time that Kyle has been held accountable for mishaps going on in her own life instead of piggybacking off of others (LVP, Kim, Kathy). WORST FEUD: Tre/Jen v. Marge/MeHo, NJ. It is just toxic at this point and it is neverending. BEST ALLIANCE: Kandi & Kenya, ATL. I love the sisterhood that these two have created over the years. And like any good sisterhood, they have occurrences where they will call each other out but let it go. I enjoyed Kenya standing firm when Marlo tried spewing that heinous lie about her nephew's death and Kandi being tied to it. WORST ALLIANCES: The Green Eyed Bitches, Potomac. I agree with this one. I think that Robyn needs to go after this season. Or at least be demoted. Those two hold Potomac hostage. BEST QUEEN OF THEIR CITY: Karen Huger, Potomac. Karen has been a joy this season. A true guiding light in yet another toxic season. When the women drag the show into darkness, Karen finds a way to pull the cast back into the light. BEST QUEEN OF THE FORMER OG’s: Lisa Vanderpump, BH. You gotta queen if you are still being brought up on your old shows long after you left on your own free will. Her presence is still felt on her former show. BEST SHOW: Real Housewives of Miami. Y'all are truly sleeping on this show. Miami is effortlessly good. This is the one show that I don't get annoyed with personal stories as the personal stories are just as good as the group dynamics. We have Guerdy's cancer, which is bringing drama amongst the group with Larsa disgustingly sharing Guerdy's diagnosis without her consent. Lisa's tumultuous pending divorce with Lenny provides constant content. Now the women are starting to grow tired of her talking about him--to the point the cast is divided on their stance. Then we have the OGs at odd: Marysol & Alexia v. Adriana. The show feels like old-school Housewives. The women argue and have grudges but they put them aside when one of them is in peril. Miami has been that girl for three years straight. If you are not watching, I strongly suggest you change your mind. This is a reboot done right. I just wish Bravo either puts energy into the show or give it back to Peacock where it thrived. MOST IMPROVED SHOW: Real Housewives of Orange County. OC was good again. The women were engaged and this was the first season in a long time where I grew to like Heather again. Jenn was a strong newbie casting choice. I love that she went toe to toe with Tamra for the most part. My only gripe is that Tamrat is gonna have to stop pulling the antics she did years ago. The show has evolved. Either get with the program or leave again. MOST TOXIC SHOW: Real Housewives of Potomac & New Jersey. With Potomac, I'd probably fire everyone but Karen at this point. The GEBs (with Ashley & Mia) hold the show and any growth hostage. But on the other side, Candiace and Wendy don't know how to play the game well at all. With NJ, the most toxic show of all, I waffle between a total reboot a la current NY or a slight reboot a la Miami. If we go the slight route, the only women deserving to stay are Tre, Jen, and Jackie. Why? Those women are the only women who consistently share true personal stories. The rest of the cast are famewhores. The Gorgas are leeches. Marge is a cancer. The Fudas wanna be the Gorgas 2.0. And hearing that Danielle this upcoming season is going to be pulling stunts like Tre back in season 2... yeah... she can go too. MOST DISAPPOINTING SHOW: Real Housewives of Atlanta. I agree here. Atlanta is the crown jewel and should be the one show that should always set the bar. The problem with Atlanta is they simply need a new production team. Sad part is that the same production team is why Potomac is in the dumps too. The cast is OK. I don't care for MarHeaux, HeShe, or Snoreya that much but they provide every blue moon. The cast just need minor tweaks at the most. I'd be fine with the current six; however, they'll need to add 1-2 more main housewives to the mix. Either bring back Nene and Porsha, or find two, young, dynamic women to breathe new energy into the show like Kenya and Porsha did back in season 5. But I have hope for Atlanta. Atlanta is in a rut for now, but I feel like they are going to bounce back like no other.
  24. Shockingly, I want Gina back full-time this one season given how much dirt Shannon did to her last season. I think this might be the season that would define Gina as a mainstay for further seasons, OR it would clarify to Bravo that Gina's time ran up and needed to be let go. And this is coming from someone that isn't a Gina fan at all. I think we all think it is logical for Vicki to come back; however, that ship has sailed. I feel like her award at BravoCon was Andy's way of bidding her adieu. Andy/Bravo have never gotten over Vicki trying to sue the network. While they gave her a spot on two UGT spinoffs (even though the Moroccan one will NEVER see the light of day) and some episodes on the last OC season, you could just tell that award was to finally close the door on Vicki for the foreseeable future. Plus, it didn't help her case that last season was doing well much without her. I do wish that now that Alexis might be coming back that they'd eventually be open to the idea of Gretchen coming back. I think Gretchen would be smarter in how she plays the game. Plus, I want to see how she'd be with Tamra nowadays. I wanna see how her and Alexis would react to each other now. Her and Shannon had a chilly interaction on WWHL back in season 10. Would that change now that Tamra/Shannon have fallen out again? And she's already friends with Emily and Heather. And would she trauma bond with Jen over Tamra using their relationships as stories? Gretchen returning would open the door to my beloved Lizzie coming back. I always felt Lizzie deserved more seasons. She is the one woman besides Kelly to truly rattle Tamra. Lastly, Gretchen has somehow weasel her way into the wealthy Persian wives of OC community as she stays latched to Leyla Milani, Lily Ghalichi (formerly of Shahs of Sunset), etc. By bringing her back, that makes it easy to access and cast young, wealthy women in the OC that are dying to get on a reality show.
