  2. That was pretty much a foregone conclusion after the response to the Oprah interview. The promise was that they would further revisit their issues and they delivered. I'm sure future Netflix programs(if they happen) that focus on 'creating conversations' and 'raising awareness' won't race to the top of the charts.
  3. Yes, but I think he was mentioned for a while eg You're father is working late on a case etc. Then he just wasn't mentioned until years later that Paul, Mary and Christine talked about him disappearing as a prelude to his return/amnesia.
  4. Y&R Worst b/c not only were they lame they contradicted what we saw onscreen. Carl Williams abandoned his family. Katherine gave birth to another child. Katherine arranged for Jill's baby to be swapped. Diane was not killed Phillip didn't die but escaped to Australia Nikki had a 'cult' baby with Paul.
  5. ATWT went to color on Jan 20 1967, the first of the CBS serials to so so. I wonder if this was also Eileen Fulton's return as the blonde, more glamorous Lisa? Would have been a nice tie-in.
  6. Who knows if the marriage will last? They seem completely wrapped up in each other and the belief that there 'love story' is so special . Harry seems to have bought into Megan's Cali pyscho babble - 'institutional gaslighting' was his latest catchphrase. I wonder long term where they are headed. The Netflix series is basically there to boost their incomes and create a brand, but not sure what that is.Yes they have their followers but overall the reaction seems pretty negative. I'm sure Harry's book will be more of the same. So they have cut ties with the Royal's but keep using the titles. Once the series and book rar ra has died down, then what? Just another privileged wealthy couple jetting around attending conferences and giving speeches? The interest seems to lie with them spilling tea about their UK experiences. Once that's done, what next?
  7. Thanks so much for sharing these.' We now know Meg's maiden name -Scott, which explains Scotty's name and that Pat Breslin debuted mid 65, not 66 as commonly stated. She had wrapped her Peyton Place gig in late 64 (the first cast member written out)
  8. General Hospital Nurse Meg Scott Bentley Baldwin...Patricia Breslin July 65-69 According to Depboy's summaries. So Scotty was named for her maiden name.
  9. So they make repeated references to the extra security at Jabot, and then Stark is able to walk into the office, with a throwaway line about how he can be persuasive-ridiculous. Meanwhile it is endlessly amusing to watch the two Society waitstaff scurry about when there are NO customers. And Sharon chats to fellow cast members while her one employee wipes tables as there are NO customers. I'm about ready to start a GoFund Me to raise the couple of thousand it would cost to hire some extras.

  11. The 1981 TV Movie was a pilot for a proposed weekly series. The daytime version did not involve John Conboy. I believe Doris Quinlan (OLTL, TD) was exec producer. Pat Falken Smith was writer and Susan Flannery the only cast member confirmed.
  12. I think it was just a guest role for one episode.
  13. Wilda Hinkel (Hinkle?) Midstream Ruth Andrews
  14. In 1966 The Doctors relocated for six months to 1481 Broadway while NBC Sudio 3A was being renovated.
  15. Secret Storm Brooke Lawrence...Julie Wilson...June 17th 66...assistant, George Bennett...16 weeks Joanna Morrison (possibly Landers??).(+) Doug Winthrop, Robert Landers ..Audrey Landers... 16. Marco St John New York Times July 16 1971 A 32‐year‐old woman was found slain in her Greenwich Village apartment last night while her husband was per forming in a play in Central Park. The body of the victim, Mrs. Barbara St. John, wife of Marco St. John, an actor, was found at 9:20 P.M. by the police, who had been summoned to the building at 77 Perry Street by neighbors. The body was badly beaten, and doctors at St. Vincent's Hospital found two bullets in her chest. There was no immediate clue to the murder, the police said. The St. Johns’ 7‐year‐old son, Marco Jr., was at the scene when the police arrived, but was in a state of confusion and hysteria that prevented questioning, they said. The door of the fifth‐floor, four‐room apartment was open, according to the police, and neighbors were attempting to comfort the crying child. The police said they had found the partially clothed body on the bed in the dimly lighted bed room. The police said that Mr. St. John, upon returning from his performance as Alcibiades in Shakespeare's “Timon of Athens” in Central Park, re ported that he had left the apartment with his wife and son at 6:45 P.M. for a shopping trip prior to last evening's show. There was no word early to day on the time or immediate cause of death, the police said. The murder took place in a six‐story building on Perry Street between Bleecker and West Fourth Streets.
  17. Barbara arrived in September and Ralph Ellis and Eugenie Hunt became headwriters in December so that is the most likely explanation of why Barbara's storyline was changed.
  18. If Harry and Megan found it impossible to work within the royal framework -fine. Leave , relocate and start again. But to go on global television to complain(twice at this point) knowing that the Palace would not want or be able to respond doesn't sit right with me. Seriously, move on and demonstrate how you are going to achieve more by your decision. Megan would never have this platform w/o hooking up with Harry and is happy to take center stage and present herself as some activist and humanitarian w/o actually doing much except leading a privileged lifestyle, some podcasts etc.
  19. Tammy Grimes THE TAMMY GRIMES SHOW Tammy Ward 1966 - one of the most notorious flops of the 1960's. Cancelled after 4 episodes which was unheard of at the time. Went to air at the sponsor's insistence despite misgivings from ABC. Dorothy Lovett THE GUIDING LIGHT Meta Bauer/Jan Carter Oct 1948-49 (replaced Gloria Blondell)
  20. Those two deserve each other. So self absorbed.
  21. August 66 ABC replaced Confidential for Women with Dating Game at 2pm and it became the best rating ABC show since GH. Within weeks it was beating Password 35 share to 28 and that was with lower clearances than GH. And then Days took off on NBC so CBS dumped Password for Love Is A Many Splendored Thing. The first chink in the CBS armor.
  22. I think that is a young Gale (not Gavin) Gordon in the right hand top pic.
  23. Variety June 66 reports that NBC is mulling over serialization of famous novels eg Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre and Therese in 8-12 week batches. That format was tried on radio in the 40's (Wheatena Playhouse) and again proposed in the 70's with contemporary novels.
